Harry posted the black and white photo to the SussexRoyal Instagram account to celebrate Charles’s special day.
The photo was taken on the day of little Archie’s Christening. Harry is cradling his baby boy in the snap and ever the proud grandfather, Charles is smiling at his grandson.
Harry wrote a sweet birthday wish alongside the photo.
“Happy birthday to His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales – Sir, Pa, Grandpa!” he said.
The never-before-seen snap is just too cute for words.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also shared a birthday tribute for the Prince of Wales.
“Wishing a very happy Birthday to The Prince of Wales!” they wrote alongside numerous family snaps, including one of Kate, Charles and a young Prince Louis.
The touching tributes will undoubtedly make Charles smile on his 71st birthday. The Prince of Wales is currently on an official visit to India with his wife, The Duchess of Cornwall.
The grandfather will carry out numerous royal engagements before spending the rest of his day with Camilla.
We're shaken, but not stirred, with the latest Bond 25 news.
Prince Charles has reportedly been invited to join Daniel Craig in the next superspy movie, according to The Sun.
The heir to the throne "discussed" a potential cameo in the next flick, while visiting the set of the film alongside 007 stars Daniel Craig, Ralph Fiennes and Naomie Harris.
The publication claims that' “When Prince Charles visited the film set a few weeks ago, a cameo was discussed. Now he is considering it.”
“They loved the buzz around the Queen’s appearance alongside Daniel Craig and think Charles could top even that. He is the epitome of everything British, perfect for a cameo role and Bond fans worldwide would absolutely love it.”
Prince Charles has a strong connection to the British intelligence network. The Prince of Wales has been Royal Patron to the intelligence Services since 2011, which include M15.
Charles' mother Queen Elizabeth’s previous Bond cameo was at the 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony, and received rave reviews so he'd have big shoes to fill.
A convincing body double of the Queen made a dramatic entrance to the London stadium by throwing herself out of a helicopter and parachuting down into the tournament.
Another insider also told The Sun that if Prince Charles turns down the opportunity, then “Harry and Wills could be in producers’ sights next"
The source continued;
“They loved the buzz around the Queen’s appearance alongside Daniel Craig and think Charles could top even that. He is the epitome of everything British, perfect for a cameo role and Bond fans worldwide would absolutely love it.”
Kensington Palace recently revealed that the Duke of Cambridge has undertaken a three week internship with MI6, MI5 and GCHQ, which Prince William called “a truly humbling experience”.
“Spending time inside our security and intelligence agencies, understanding more about the vital contribution they make to our national security, was a truly humbling experience,” he said
He continued;
“These agencies are full of people from everyday backgrounds doing the most extraordinary work to keep us safe. They work in secret, often not even able to tell their family and friends about the work they do or the stresses they face. They are driven by an unrivalled patriotism and dedication to upholding the values of this country. We all owe them deep gratitude for the difficult and dangerous work they do.”
Bond 25 is due out in spring of 2020, though production issues have halted production numerous times.
Daniel Craig received an ankle injury on set which required him to have surgery, and director Danny Boyle left the film over creative issues. Cary Joji Fukunaga has replaced him in the director's chair.
Another source told The Sun, “Bond 25 producers are desperate to sign Prince Charles. It is no secret that the film has suffered a number of setbacks but landing a royal could be just what the movie needs.”
Charles is sat beside wife Camilla Parker Bowles for the portrait. A cheeky Princess Charlotte is sat next to Camilla and Prince George is sat on his grandfather’s lap.
Just look at Charlotte’s cheeky grin, you can tell the princess is full of mischief.
The Prince of Wales with his family in the garden of Clarence House.
A second snap of the family shows off their goofier side as they laugh at the camera. The candid moment is a breath of fresh air. It really is so sweet to see the royals acting natural and having fun as a family.
Prince William recently admitted that he would love for his dad to spend more time with his three children- Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis- so there’s no doubt the dad was thrilled when the family got together to take Charles’ special portrait.
There’s no doubt Charles will celebrate his birthday in the most lavish way with his family. He’ll certainly have a party fit for a king.
Fans of The Crown have been spoiled with tons of new information about the upcoming season. The show may not be returning to our screens until 2019, but that doesn’t mean we’re not excited about it.
We can’t wait to see what happens in season three, which is set to feature some explosive storylines.
The show has been unveiling the new cast over the past few months, and we just can’t get enough of these announcements.
Today, Netflix revealed that Josh O'Connor and Marion Bailey are joining the cast of the Netflix original series.
Josh O'Connor will play Prince Charles. Speaking of his role as the future king of England, Josh said: “Seasons 3 and 4 will follow some of the most turbulent events in the Prince of Wales’s life and our national story and I’m excited to be bringing to life the man in the midst of it all.”
He added: “I’m very aware it’s a formidably talented family to be joining, but reliably informed I have the ears for the part and will fit right in."
Marion Bailey will take on the role of the Queen Mother, she gushed about her new role: “Wonderful to be joining The Crown. It’s a brilliant show and we have a tough act to follow but what a gift to be playing the fascinating and greatly loved Queen Mother. Thrilled to be on board and working with such a top notch team."
Earlier this year, Olivia Colman was confirmed as Queen Elizabeth. She will star alongside Tobias Menzie, who is set to play a middle-aged Prince Philip.
Helena Bonham Carter will star as Princess Margaret and Ben Daniels will star as her husband Anthony-Armstrong Jones.
Yesterday Meghan Markle confirmed the sad news that her father, Thomas, will not attend the royal wedding tomorrow.
The 73-year-old was originally going to walk his daughter down the aisle but is no longer able to.
"Sadly, my father will not be attending our wedding," Meghan said in a statement released by Kensington Palace, "I have always cared for my father and hope he can be given the space he needs to focus on his health.
"I would like to thank everyone who has offered generous messages of support. Please know how much Harry and I look forward to share our special day with you on Saturday."
Now it's been revealed who will be accompanying the former Suits star as she walks down the aisle on her big day.
The 36-year-old actress asked her soon-to-be father-in-law Prince Charles to take on the job.
The 69-year-old seems happy to fill the role. A statement from Kensington Palace on the matter reads, "The Prince of Wales is pleased to be able to welcome Ms. Markle to The Royal Family in this way."
2019 couldn't be further away in our eyes, even though the year is nearly halfway up. The source of our agony? Having to wait for The Crown to return in next year!
Thankfully news about the upcoming third series has kept us placated. The most recent update is all about who's tipped to play Prince Charles from ages 16 to 22 (as it is expected that the upcoming season will cover the years 1964 to 1970).
The Prince of Wales was previously portrayed by child actor Billy Jenkins, so he is being aged up considerably in this next series as the actor rumoured to be taking over the role is nearly 28!
We have to say, though, the man who is possibly playing the Prince does have a very youthful appearance.
Josh O'Connor, known for his role in the ITV series The Durrells, may be stepping into Charles' well-polished shoes, The Daily Mail reports.
Josh certainly has the talent to hold his own in the excellent cast, as he won a British Independent Film Award for Best Actor for his performance in God's Own Country.
If cast, the British actor will appear alongside Helena Bonham Carter, who was recently confirmed as Princess Margaret, Olivia Colman as the Queen herself, Tobias Menzies as Prince Philip, and Jason Watkins as Prime Minister Harold Wilson.
Helena said, after the confirmation of her casting, “I’m not sure which I’m more terrified about — doing justice to the real Princess Margaret or following in the shoes of Vanessa Kirby’s Princess Margaret."
“The only thing I can guarantee is that I’ll be shorter [than Vanessa].”
We are quite excited to see if Josh will also be confirmed!
Rumours have been incorrect before, such as the one about Hugh Laurie playing Prince Philip, so we aren't holding our breath.
He might be a prince (and a baby prince, at that) but that doesn't mean he doesn't have to do some work around the castle.
Prince Charles has revealed that he likes to see George do some gardening, and even has him planting trees in their home.
Charles told BBC Radio 4 that the two-year-old has already been digging up a storm:
"The most important thing is I got him planting a tree or two here, sowe planted it together and shovelled in the earth.
"I always like gardening – I hate to say this – from a child's point of view. It's a funny thing, because I have such happy memories of bits of garden at my grandmother's house,” said the 67-year-old.
"In Scotland and here [Highgrove] I have tried to design it with what would appeal to a child; it is the paths and the interests.
"I have tried to do that at Dumfries House as well. We have made a mazenow up there which is rather fun, and I adored a maze when I was young. You just put yourself in the child's position and sometimes it works."
When we were two-years-old we doubt we even cared about gardening, but Charles sure sounds like he makes the work fun for George. And we'd just love to see that maze!
Things got a bit cheeky on Prince Charles's recent visit to Sydney. A photographer snapped a photo of Janine Kirk – chief executive of the Prince's Charities Australia – appearing to pad the prince's butt.
The Australian press had a bit of a field day with it, not least of all because the royals allegedly have a no-touching policy (anyone remember the Lebron James/ Kate Middleton slip-up?).
Janine is notably embarrassed about the incident, telling the Daily Telegraph, "I don't like the way this is going, it's rather silly, it's not on his bum.
"It was a room of about 130 people. He was being engaged as he always is and so he was being moved through the crowd."
Right, but you were still leading him around the room via his bum?
