Heartbreaking footage from the MH17 crash has been released
A new video has been released of the MH17 plane crash.
The video was taken by a traumatised couple who can be seen driving down the road witnessing the wreckage as bodies fall from the sky.
The woman recording the scene on her phone is visibly distressed and she is so disturbed by seeing people’s bodies in the wreckage that she insists they drive away.
The release of the video comes one year after the Malaysian Airlines plane was shot down over conflict Ukrainian land.
At one point the man can be heard saying, “Don’t look there, what is all that? A woman was flying or what, I don’t get it.”
Pro-Russian rebels in eastern Ukraine have offered to help the victims’ families return to the area if they so wish to pay their respects.
“We, of course, are ready to provide all possible assistance for relatives who want to come to honour the memory of the loved ones who died,” said Alexander Kofman, the self-declared foreign minister of Donetsk People’s Republic.
However, many family members have refused to visit the area. Although the region is legally part of Ukraine, it is currently controlled by pro-Russian separatists whom many believe are responsible for shooting down the plane.
Militants deny any responsibility. A final report from the ongoing investigation is due in October.
