A heartwarming picture uploaded onto Reddit four days ago has touched people around the world – notching up almost 4million views and thousands of comments in the process.

The snap, taken in Vancouver, was published under a headline which simply says: 'Dads'.

It shows a smartly dressed man walking the city's streets soaking wet. Over a small, t-shirt-clad boy with a brightly-coloured lion rucksack on his back – a child presumed to be his son – he holds an umbrella to shelter him from the heavy rain.

Understandably, the photograph has sparked a social media storm since being shared.

One description of it reads: "My dad wasn't around for me as a child, so I've got no role model. Can I be a good dad to my kid?"

While another commenter points out: "But you see, dad is doing more than keeping him dry. He's teaching him how to put others before himself."

A third user states: "You're the only father this kid is going to have, so do your absolute best every second of the day."

There is nothing worse than opening the long awaited envelope that holds your brand new form of identification and discovering that there’s been a typo.

Anyone who has the fortune of being an Aisling with an 'i' or any other name with a less than mainstream spelling will know the feeling of dread that comes with filling in important documents. It can be bad enough that you’re never able to get a cool keychain with your name on it, now someone has gone and ruined your passport too.

Why would anyone do such a thing?

One eagle-eyed Reddit user (Reichenbach_), the owner of a brand new Irish passport was left feeling less than enthused when they spotted this error.

This time it wasn’t a spelling mistake that they spotted, it was more of a geographical error that raised some eyebrows.

After having a look through their shiny new passport it was discovered that: "the convention centre is on the wrong side of the Samuel Beckett Bridge."

This is how the passport should actually look:

Should we be concerned? Does this mean that major changes are afoot for one of Ireland's most highly regarded locations? This year alone the Convention Centre will host five different international association conferences generating an estimated €7 million for the local economy.

But is the new passport trying to convince us this locale is actually more southern then we are used to? We shall just have to wait and see.

If you've ever had a pet go missing, you'll know the awful feeling of anxiety it causes. For some of us, it's as bad as losing a family member.

So we're guessing whoever decided to plaster their town with these "Cat Found" posters has certainly never had to deal with such a situation. An Irish Reddit user spotted this seriously tactless sign pinned up in the town of Killincarrig, Co Wicklow, earlier this week, and had to share it with the world.

"MARMALADE CAT FOUND," it begins.

So far, so good. But wait, there's more…

"Sadly, the cat had been knocked down and killed by the time we found it," the poster continues. "We wanted to let the owners know."

We seriously hope the cat's owners heard the news from another source first. That's certainly not a sign you want to stumble upon without warning…

Babies, puppies, sloths… present us with anything remotely cute and we will instantly turn into a pile of mush. We definitely didn't expect this dad to be the same, though.

Philip's family had a Maltese for 15 years until he had to be put down, leaving his poor father heartbroken. One day, Philip and his mum went on a secret mission to find a new puppy for their family, returning with a gorgeous little furball.

"We had told my father that we were going food shopping and went off to where we had picked out our previous little puppy 15 years earlier," Philip explains in the video description.

After arriving home "from the grocery store", Philip's mum lured his dad out to the car under the pretence of unloading the shopping. His reaction to the surprise is the sweetest thing we've seen all week.

This video was first uploaded in 2013 but it has gone viral again over the last few days.

We can see why, because who doesn't need some vintage cuteness in their lives?

Have you ever wanted to know what Channing Tatum calls his penis or what his superpower would be? Well… you are SERIOUSLY in luck.

The Magic Mike XXL star was a lot more candid than anyone expected when he answered fan's questions in his Reddit AMA.

The 35-year-old admits that that in a zombie apocalypse he would run to Sandra Bullock’s house because she is “dope and kick-ass.” Channing also seems to be harbouring some strange sexual tendencies towards a certain Mr Danny Devito, with references to the actor in just a few too many of his answers!

Here are some of the best questions and definitely the best answers that Channing gave.

What would be Channing Tatum’s superpower? He wants to see you naked.

We expected him to say flying… this was WAY better.

“I wish that I could make anyone at any point just happen to be naked. Not for the reasons that everyone thinks. Because people get really nice when they get naked. Like okay, I can’t be an asshole. People aren’t assholes when they get naked (for the most part). They are thinking about what they look like. Sh***y answer, I tried to do something funny and it didn’t work.”

When asked if his penis has a nickname…

“Gilbert.”

We’re not entirely sure that we want to hear an explanation to that one!

When he can only bring three things to a deserted island? Sounds like a fun abandoned island to us.

Men find it difficult to know what women want at the best of times, so one woman took it into her own hands to tell her boyfriend exactly what she wants – a diamond ring, no less.

When one Reddit user asked his girlfriend for a grocery list he was given the usual cheese, meat, bread.

But, at the very end of the list, his significant other, who obviously has a lot more on her mind than what she’s having for lunch, writes ‘diamond ring’.

When an Australian Reddit user called Silvanic booked a round the world trip with her boyfriend, she wasn’t to know they would have broken up before they even set foot on the plane.

The news just got worse when she found out the $6,000 she forked out for her ex’s tickers were non-refundable and non-changeable.

So now, she is on the hunt for anyone who goes by the name of Andrew Grant to take her ex’s tickets (they would have to pay for them though!) so that the tickets don’t go to waste. She wouldn’t mind going alone, but “I just don't want to pay for the empty seat on the plane.” Which we can understand!

She isn’t setting off until November 26^th so Andrew, if you’re out there, you’ve still got some time!

A Siri call backfires after this girl tried to contact her boyfriend

We’re all familiar with the hilarious but smart app, Siri, but sometimes Siri can be a little too right, or wrong, when it comes to our personal lives.

Reddit user, Tarty2000, posted a picture of his girlfriend’s screenshot after she asked her iPhone to ring her boyfriend.

But instead of automatically calling her boyfriend “John” it quizzed her on which boyfriend she would like to contact: her ex-boyfriend or her current partner.

Tarty2000 captioned the shot:

“My girlfriend decided to show me this ‘awesome thing Siri can do!’”

But in fairness his girlfriend did try to remove “Craig” as her boyfriend on the phone, but Siri wouldn’t let her.

“My girlfriend asked Siri to “remove Craig as my boyfriend. I’m sorry, I cannot do that.” So turns out Siri can make relationships but not break them. LOL.”

Perhaps it’s better to rely on the old fashioned way of contacting your boyfriend and not on Siri.

If you are prone to being a bit eh, windy, then one Reddit user could have the answer to your prayers.

The college user who goes by the name of whatsupbromeliad on Reddit, says that for years she suffered from stomach cramps and gas. It wasn’t until she was out shopping for some underwear to go under her prom dress that she discovered that wearing a thong was the cure she had been searching for:

“The stomach aches happened less and less frequently as I moved past puberty but they were still happening… until that glorious day when I bought my first thong. I was shopping with my mom at the mall, trying to find underwear that wouldn’t show under my junior prom dress and the only thing that worked was this invisible Calvin Klein thong.

As you thong-wearing ladies know, having a little cloth between your cheeks lets gas pass normally: a little bit at a time all day. For me it’s so little I can’t even smell it, but it happens every half hour or so 24 hours a day. (I know, I fart a lot) The first time I wore the thong I noticed it, and when I realized what was happening I tossed every pair of underwear I had in the can and invested in some jumbo packs of thongs.

NO MORE STOMACH ACHES. None. Turns out I would build up gas and it was making me sick! The solution was a tiny scrap of fabric between my cheeks.”

Well if it’s working for her, that’s great – though we’re not totally convinced on the science behind her discovery!

John Ferreira enlisted the help of his fellow festival goers when he proposed to his girlfriend at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee.

The creative Ferreira used Reddit to spread the word of his planned proposal, and asked anyone who saw his girlfriend (now fiancé) to give her a flower or just join the group and sing along.

Will Ferrell used his popularity and comic genius for good yesterday when he ran an “Ask me Anything” session on the social network Reddit.

The actor used the session to raise money for the charity Cancer for College which helps provide college scholarships for cancer survivors.

Some funny questions that came Ferrell’s way from fans and the public included, “What does Mark Whalberg smell like”? and “What was the craziest Hollywood party you’ve ever been to”?

One particularly good one was, “Is there any movie role, outside of comedy, that you wish you could have landed?” to which Ferrell wittingly answered: “Yes. It was down to me or Tobey Maguire for Spider-Man and they harshly told me I was too fat for the suit.”

Will was also asked about Pearl the landlady from the hilarious Funny or Die sketch which we have attached for you here because it never gets old.
