Just days after gushing over her 'special' relationship with Justin Bieber, Sofia Richie and the Love Yourself singer have called time on their romance.

The couple, who had been dating just six weeks, came to the public's attention in August when Justin shared a snap of the pair looking cosy on Instagram.

And, as expected, all hell broke loose.

After being slammed by his followers and ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez for flaunting his budding romance with Nicole Richie's younger sister, Justin did what he does best – threw a major strop and deleted his Insta account.

"I’m gonna make my Instagram private if you guys don’t stop the hate this is getting out of hand." Justin raged. "If you guys are really fans you wouldn’t be so mean to people like that.”

And whether pressure from fans or scorn from an ex took its toll on their romance, no one is quite sure, but reports emerging Stateside have confirmed that Jofia are officially no more.

"They’re broken up for now," a source told PEOPLE this week.

Although if his insiders are to be believed, Justin and 18-year-old Sofia's relationship was never built to last.

"These girls all go crazy for him, but he’s not settling down. It’s virtually impossible where he’s at in his life and career for anything to last with these girls," they previously said.

Lucky escape for Sofia, perhaps?

If you make silent promises to ditch your nightly Netflix binge in honour of more wholesome pursuits with your other half, stop right there.

According to recent research published in the Journal of Social and Personal Relationships, couples who binge-watch together, stay together.

No seriously, you've been doing this whole relationship thing right all along.

Researchers at the University of Aberdeen have established that watching a television series together is linked to "greater inter-dependence, closeness and confidence."

With the help of 259 male and female participants, experts in the field confirmed that vegging out in front of the box is a top-notch way to show commitment to one another and improve the quality of your relationship.

"Watching TV with a partner or watching a movie you both like is a really easy way to improve relationship quality," said lead author, Dr Sarah Gomillion.

"Anyone can do it at any time so if this is something that is good for relationships, it might help us identify an intervention that can improve relationship quality,"

So, lolling over the ladies in Broad City, following the exploits of Frank Underwood or perching on the edge of your seat over Game of Thrones is all good… especially if you're doing it with your significant other.

Pass the remote.

While we've always found Ben & Jerry's works best in the aftermath of a break-up, there is a school of thought which says the best way to get over a man is to get under another.

And it sounds like Gigi Hadid is a true believer in that one.

Barely a week after Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston called time on their three-month relationship, Taylor's BFF has decided it's time for her squad leader to move on… with a new man.

And in a bizarre turn of events considering the singer's relationship history, Taylor isn't actually with Gigi on that one.

Speaking to HollywoodLife, a source close to the ladies, said: "Gigi and Zayn want to set Taylor up with some of their friends but Taylor has no interest whatsoever.”

"Gigi and Zayn want Taylor to go on some double dates with them, and go out and be social," the insider explained before revealing that Taylor has different priorities right now.

It sounds like the Shake It Off singer has decided to take advice from Selena Gomez who reportedly encouraged the singer to focus on her career rather than potential relationships for the time being.

"Taylor knows they mean well," the insider continued. "But she’s choosing to remain solo and concentrate on new music."

From the moment Cheryl Cole stepped out in an ill-fitting grey dress at Liam Payne's sister's wedding earlier this year, rumours have been swirling that the former Girls Aloud singer may be pregnant.

The official line simply claimed that Cheryl, who has been dating Liam since December, didn't want to distract from the bride, and while not everyone was convinced, the speculation did indeed calm down for a month or two.

And then L'oreal only went and released their latest ad campaign and inadvertently stoked the fire again as viewers debated whether Cheryl's appearance might mean there could be a baby on board.

Looking stunning with a slightly fuller face than we're used to seeing her, Cheryl in addition to reminding us that she was worth it reminded die-hard Directioners that they had some speculating to do.

Taking to Twitter to gush over this unconfirmed pregnancy, one wrote: "Why did Liam suddenly change his bio and is like "the luckiest man" i think that Cheryl is pregnant omg!"

"Wait, what the f*ck? Is Cheryl pregnant?" questioned another social media user.

And while we all know Directioners are known for losing their cool from time to time, it seems they may have the backing of a few inside sources who recently revealed that Cheryl is currently preparing for motherhood.

"Cheryl's never been more determined to have a baby. It's like it's the only thing in the world that matters to her," they revealed.

"Cheryl has a stash of pregnancy and motherhood books she's always reading. She's never been so focused on something," they added.

Sounds like those eagle-eyed viewers may be on to something…

Anyone who doubted the relationship between Cheryl Cole and Liam Payne may have to eat their words as reports currently swirl that the couple are planning to start a family together.

According to insiders, Cheryl, who is 10 years Liam's senior, is reportedly preparing for the pitter-patter of teeny tiny feet.

Speaking to NOW magazine, a source close to the couple said that the Fight For This Love singer is putting all her energy into researching pregnancy and motherhood.

"Cheryl's never been more determined to have a baby. It's like it's the only thing in the world that matters to her." they revealed.

The Geordie girl who has been dating the former One Direction star since December has never made any secret of her desire to become a mother, and it sounds like she's decided the time has come.

"Cheryl has a stash of pregnancy and motherhood books she's always reading. She's never been so focused on something," the source added.

The couple have been the subject of intense speculation since confirming their relationship earlier this year, and if they hoped mentor Simon Cowell would avoid the gossip, they were sorely mistaken.

Adding fuel to the fire, Simon admitted, according to The Mirror, that he thought the former Girls Aloud star would make a fantastic mother.

"Cheryl would be an amazing mum. I have seen her with my son Eric and other kids over the years and she is incredible," he said.

"She is very good with them. I think she is in a good place in her life right now."

In all seriousness, how cute would that kid be?!

If you've ever opened your eyes in the middle of a kiss, you'll know how weird it feels… and looks.

And while the vast majority of us tend to shut the peepers when we go in for the shift, not many of us know exactly why this is our default response.

If you've ever found yourself pondering this, ponder no more.

According to research conducted by Royal Holloway, University of London, we close our eyes when we kiss because we want to concentrate on our sense of touch.

In a study published in the Journal of Experimental Psychology: Human Perception and Performance, researchers explain that we fear lessening the intensity of the kiss by over-stimulating other senses like our eyesight.

"Tactile awareness depends on the level of perceptual load in a concurrent visual task," explained cognitive psychologists Polly Dalton and Sandra Murphy. "These results could explain why we close our eyes when we want to focus attention on another sense."

"Shutting out the visual input leaves more mental resources to focus on other aspects of our experience," they added.

God, we're a right bunch of romantics.

Choosing a wedding dress is stressful enough in itself, but deciding on a dress which will suit multiple women is a mammoth task.

When one friend refuses to show off her arms and another friend just doesn't do high-neck, most brides-to-be have their work cut out for them choosing a shape, style and shade which flatters the women she has chosen as bridesmaids.

If you're currently struggling to appease everyone in your bridal party, you may want to check out the gown currently riding high on the 'most pinned' chart.

The Lace Illusion Neckline Dress from Camille LaVie comes in eight colours, boasts a crisscross pleated bodice and a stunning chiffon skirt.

Oh, and the best part? This floor-length gown can be worn multiple ways meaning that each bridesmaid can showcase or conceal whichever features she wishes.

Coming in between £118 and £134, it looks like this gown, which has been pinned a staggering 170,000 times, is your go-to gown for that oh-so-big day.

Christ, we'd wear to the local if we could get away with it.

As with any language, the emoji symbols were eventually bound to develop their own hidden meanings.

But while we’re more than happy to use these little images to boost our sexting game, do we really need life-sized emojis arriving into the bedroom?

Well, according to the creators of the "Emojibator”, that is exactly what we need!

Refinery 29 has reported that the not so innocent aubergine emoji has reached the pinnacle of its fame by being made into an actual vibrator.

And – according to emojibator.com – this particular sex toy not only boasts ten different vibration settings, but also offers users a “healthy serving of Vitamin D” (yup, they actually went there).

On top of that, the Emojibator comes in discreet packaging, can be shipped worldwide and can even be used in the bath.

Between this and the Pokémoan products we found earlier this year, it seems there really is something for everyone.

Unless you're extremely fortunate, you're very likely to endure at least one horrendous first date over the course of your adult life.

And along with that stand-out stinker of a meeting, there are often dozens more dull, mundane, and mind-numbingly boring dates which are just part and parcel of the single gal's life.

But before you think the rich and famous amongst us get to skip these classic dating foul-ups, think again.

According to Britney Spears, having a few number one hits and a couple million in the bank doesn't make you immune to that awkward first date where the other person – and we're going to be kind here – simply isn't that into you.

Opening up during a recent interview with Marie Claire, the singer revealed she has endured the horror of realising she was much more into her date than vice versa.

"I had a really bad date. I mean, it was really bad," she admitted.

"I've been single for ages and had a date with a guy I liked. I was getting anxious, worrying he wouldn't like me," Brit continued.

Reflecting on the meeting, Britney said: "We went to the movies, but I could tell right away it wasn't working. It was sort of awkward."

"So after the movie I came home and that was it. He just wasn't that into me," she admitted. "I liked him. He knew that. But he definitely didn't feel the same."

Reminding us that we're not alone when it comes to those cringe-worthy dates – the memory of which have been known to keep us awake at night – Brit simply said: "It happens to everybody."

"Being famous doesn't make you any different."

Thanks for that, Brit. We feel so much better now.

There are people who spend days, weeks or even months plotting revenge against a cheating partner, before eventually setting their plans aside and simply moving on.

And then there are people who actually carry it out.

In a move which has cheating boyfriends pulling on their (lipstick-stained) collars, one Instagram user decided to use her account to call her ex-boyfriend out on his infidelity.

Unlike the rest of us who might just erase every photo of him from our social media accounts, this girl decided to simply edit her captions to better illustrate the image she now has of him.

And Instagram is all over it.

In a photo which shows her wrapping her arms around the boy who cheated on her, she wrote: "I'm in the perfect position to strangle him, and if I would have known then that he was a cheater, I probably would have."

Sharing a snap of the former couple cosied up by a baseball pitch, she wrote: "He played me better than he plays baseball."

Impressed by her level of commitment to the project, social media users are now lamenting their lack of creativity when it came to calling out the people who cheated on them.

Looks like we might be seeing the start of a trend…

At the beginning of any relationship, we endeavour to present the best versions of ourselves to our other halves.

Hell, we don't know how long it will last, so no point putting the brakes on too early by revealing our true selves – lure them into a false sense of security and all that.

And it seems it's no different for those in the public eye either.

According to Elle, John Krasinski tried so hard to present the most 'normal' aspect of himself to Emily Blunt, he accidentally made her think he was in the habit of watching porn.

Not wanting to reveal he was an uber Devil Wears Prada fan too soon into their dating days, The Office star attempted to hide his love of the film from Emily who played Meryl Streep's underling in the 2006 box office hit.

"We had just started dating and she had come over to my house. She popped by in between some things and I was watching it," John, who now shares two children with Emily, recalled.

"She opened the door and I flipped the channel and she looked at me like, 'Were you just watching porn?'…I think it was better for me at the time for her to think I was watching porn than watching The Devil Wears Prada for the seventy-fifth time," he explained.

Unsurprisingly, as their relationship progressed, John, 36, felt comfortable enough to reveal just how much he loves and adores the film.

"There was one day when it was on and I said it was so good and Emily said, 'Have you seen this movie?'" John remembered.

"I said, 'A lot of times.' She said, 'That's so sweet, but how many times?' Luckily, we had been dating for about a year so there was a lot of trust built up and I said, 'Like 75.'

75? It's still nothing on us.

It might have taken him five months and the help of numerous farmers to prepare the setting for his big moment, but it sounds like it was definitely worth it for Shyam Thakrar.

The 27-year-old, known as Sam, planned to pop the question to his girlfriend Sarah, but his proposal required more than just a ring and the bending of a knee.

After deciding at the age of 15 that he would ask his future wife to marry him by mowing the words into a farmer's field, Sam knew that he would need a little help if his plan was to go off without a hitch.

"I got in touch with farmers and found one that said he'd done something similar before, but not on this scale," Sam told ITV News.

Coordinating the task with the help of walkie-talkies, a group of farmers from Northumberland obliged Sam and mowed his special message into a field 300 miles from the couple's home.

And once they were done, Sam treated Sarah to a helicopter ride above the fields before she agreed to become Mrs Thakrar.

Sam's efforts have been praised by the public with one Facebook user writing: "Top man, impressed" while another remarked: "Good idea that! Respect young man!"

Just something for our other halves to consider…
