Catwalks have been feeling oh-so sporty of late – with designers showcasing heaps of models clad in exercise-appropriate attire.

And the High Street has been quick to follow suit: Penneys, Dunnes Stores, Life Style Sports, H&M, Marks & Spencer, and Forever 21 all currently have their own lines of seriously chic gym gear – and that includes plenty of lovely leggings.

We charge Stella McCartney with kicking off the trend it the first place: more than a decade ago she collaborated with Adidas, making exercise seriously stylish.

And last November H&M carried Alexander Wang’s sporty studio-to-street collection, while long-established leggings-fan Beyonce’s much-anticipated “athletic streetwear” collection will be released by Topshop this autumn. There’s also Rita Ora’s collaboration with Adidas, and Rihanna’s with Puma.

Actress and writer Lena Dunham, stars of Girls, is just one of the many celebs who have lately been taking to social media to share their love of the garment.

But if you assume that a pair is a cheap-and cheerful way to bulk up your wardrobe, think again. Indeed, leggings can set you back… thousands. Yes, if you were so inclined, you could part with close-to €3,200 for The Row’s leather offering, or indeed €2,500 for Brunello Cucinelli’s version in suede. Wowsers!

Rihanna was turning heads at the 2015 Met Gala earlier this week.

Her outfit choice was very attention grabbing as she showed up in a massive yellow robe. 

During an interview with Vogue's André Leon Talley on the red carpet, she revealed that the robe took YEARS to make and it was all stitched together by one woman—designer Guo Pei.

"It's a miracle how it happened actually, I saw this beautiful beast on the Internet. I was looking through, you know, researching Chinese couture…It's handmade by one Chinese woman. It took two years to make this," she said. 

We bet RiRi was panicking about the possibility of somebody standing on it, we would too!

While the singer always looks gorgoeus, it didn't stop people making jokes about the dress. Many memes were created comparing it to things such as pizza and an omelette.

Luckily she was able to laugh at herself and joined in on the fun on her Instagram account.

We had no idea about the feud between Rihanna and Rita Ora. 

Rihanna held a Met Gala after party at Up & Down nightclub in New York City on Monday following the Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

For some reason, the singer refused to give Rita Ora an invitation to the event, which was attended by celebrities such as Kylie Jenner and Justin Bieber.

A source told the Sun: "She has a real issue with Rita and this was her chance for revenge." 

"She made it clear when organising her party that Rita was not to gatecrash under any circumstances," they added.

The 27-year-old reportedly spent a lot of the night hanging out with Cara Delevingne, Rita's ex best friend which caused an awkward atmosphere between the 24-year-old and the model. 

A source said: "It was very icy between Rita and Cara. They spent the night trying to ignore each other. Rita decided to hang out with Miley Cyrus instead. She was never going to attend Rihanna's party because she'd made plans to go to another bash."

Rita ended up at Lady Gaga's after party at the Diamond Horseshoe nightclub instead. 

Hmmm, we wonder what drama has previously gone on there…

We love a new-couple alert – especially when it involves two gorgeous megastars. And although no one should rush out and buy a hat just yet, we reckon that Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk are going to be the hot pairing of 2015. In fact, we're already calling them "Iriadley".

The actor and supermodel (always a classic union) were said to be “canoodling” at Rihanna’s Met Ball after-party in New York’s swish Up & Down club. The reported observation comes hot-on-the-heels of their theatre date last month, when Bradley and Irina saw Finding Neverland together on Broadway. Also last month, they were both present at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

And now Spanish publication Hola! has a photograph of the duo strolling through Manhattan arm-in-arm. Apparently they’ve known each other for some time but have only recently begun dating.

Irina had arrived at the Met Ball in a stunning purple-tinged Versace dress, but her rumoured beau stayed at home until the after-parties kicked-off.

Bradley, 40, previously dated Suki Waterhouse, 23, while 29-year-old Irina had a much-publicised five-year relationship with footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, 30.

The Russian beauty has appeared on the cover of the likes of Sports Illustrated and made her first feature film, Hercules, last year. Meawhile, Oscar-nominated Bradley is best-known for roles in The Hangover, American Sniper, and Silver Linings Playbook.

We have accepted at this stage that we’ll never be able to keep up with Rihanna’s makeovers. From dramatic new ‘dos to risqué image overhauls, she truly is the queen of experimentation, which we totally applaud her for.

One thing we’re not quite so sure about, however, is her latest hairstyle.

The star took to her Instagram account this weekend to show off her new look to her followers, and, well, it’s not exactly our favourite style of her's ever.

Ri’s new look of brassy red, curly bob is decidedly 80s, with many even comparing her to the late and great Whitney Houston since making the big reveal.

While Rihanna has never required a reason or big event to flaunt a new look, sources claim that she opted for the striking new ‘do for this week’s Met Gala in New York. The annual event is always a star-studded affair, and the world’s attention will be firmly fixed on the red carpet tomorrow night.

We’re used to seeing her donning an array of racy attire, but Rihanna looked positively demure in a stunning lilac bridesmaid gown yesterday.

Her assistant Jennifer Morales married Aaron Davis on a secluded beach in Honolulu, Hawai on Monday, and Ri-Ri was one of six bridesmaids.

Rihanna’s dress boasted an embellished waistband, v-neck drop back, and intrinsic silver floral detail on the mesh skirt. The superstar singer kept her accessories simple with diamond stud earrings and a matching diamond necklace. Her newly auburn hair also perfectly complemented her attire, and she carried an elegant bunch of cream roses tied with a cream ribbon on the stems.

She took to her Instagram account to praise the happy couple, calling Jennifer her “sis”. “A wedding is a celebration of a marriage!!!,” Rihanna said, adding: “Celebrate the marriage that we've been lucky enough to witness grow and evolve for all these years!!!!”

The singer has been furthermore sharing on social media exotic snaps from her break in Hawaii – a favourite holiday destination – over the last number of days.

The single 27-year-old is adamant that she won’t be next up the aisle, however, recently telling Hello! magazine that she’s far too busy for a man. Between 2008 and 2013 she famously had a controversial on-off relationship with Chris Brown. Earlier this year she had been linked to Academy Award nominated actor Leonardo Dicaprio, but she dismissed the rumours last month.

Rihanna has responded to a scandalous video that was posted on social media which appears to show the singer sniffing a substance at a private party during Coachella. 

In the video, Rihanna is seen preparing an unidentified substance before rubbing her nose.

The video was posted on Instagram by a user with the caption “CHECK OUT THE COKE HEAD I AINT SURPRISED DOE A LOT OF YALL GIRLS BE COKE HEADS ON THE LOWSKI.”(sic)

According to complex.com Rihanna then responded to this video by writing: “N***a your lame ass got some f**king nerve!!! Any fool could see that's a joint that I'm basing with cigarette! 'Who tF snorts tobacco??!! FOH witcho "never been to a rodeo so someone squeezing their nose means they're doing coke" lookin ass!!" (sic)

The video has since been deleted.

This is not Rihanna's first Coachella controversy, in 2012 she caused a scandal by posting an Instagram picture of herself cutting up a white substance on top of a man’s head.

She made waves with the release of her new track, B*tch Better Have My Money, last week, but it looks as though not every reaction to Rihanna's new song has been positive.

Indeed, the star is facing a bit of a legal nightmare after being accused of plagiarising the song.

The plagiarism claim comes from Texas-based rapper Just Brittany, who says that the song bears an all-too similar resemblance to her own track, Betta Have My Money, which was released on SoundCloud nine months ago.

While Just Brittany’s song may not have garnered much attention upon release, it has become quite the talking point on social media as fans draw comparison between both tracks.

One Twitter user shared a link to Just Brittany’s song, writing: “OMG Rihanna copied Houston Rapper Just Brittany…I just lost respect for Riri.”

Meanwhile, others have said that the claims are a bit of a stretch, with one person tweeting: “Sorry y’all but the Just Brittany song does not sound like Rihanna. People nowadays. The lyrics aren’t even close, not the beat.”

We can all admit that from time to time we all have a bit of checkin’ out to do.

Unfortunately for Rihanna, she chose the wrong moment to check out her BFF Nicki Minaj’s goods and was caught rotten in a photo that is now all over the internet.

The pair were on stage at the Tidal event when the snap was taken and even Riri seems to be loving it’s appearance online, posting it on Instagram as a meme that reads: “Mmm bi**h betta gimme those titties” along with a caption: “NOW @nickiminaj.”

Although she has yet to reply to Rihanna, we're sure Nicki will be very flattered by Rihanna's impressed facial expression!

Nicki is currently on the Irish leg of her Pink Print tour and took to the stage in Dublin last night. She has been very vocal on her social media channels about her love for the country, writing: "I'm deeply in love & madly obsessed with Ireland. There's something so radiant about their energy. I had the best time with u guys tonight, Dublin."

She is one of the most powerful figures in the music world, but Rihanna has shown herself to be just as vulnerable as the rest of us when it comes to matters of the heart.

Indeed, the Only Girl In The World star made a rather heartbreaking admission during an interview with Time magazine this week.

With the 27-year-old lending her voice to one of the main characters in new animated movie Home, she was asked to name her favourite cartoon film from when she was growing up.

As a total classic, her choice of Disney's Beauty and the Beast is not surprising; however, her explanation carried a much darker insight into her choice.

"I fell in love with the Beast. Pretty much my dating record so far," Rihanna told the interviewer.

While she refused to expand on her comment, or give the name of whom she may have been referring to, many have put two and two together and linked her words to her turbulent relationship with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

Her comments came on the same day that a judge closed the case against Brown for his assault of Rihanna back in 2009.

We’ve been so excited thinking that it was true love for our favourite actor, Leonardo DiCaprio and pop’s princess, Rihanna.

The pair were seen hanging out numerous times over the last few months and many had just began to assume that all systems were go for the love story.

Now, Leo’s representative has released a statement regarding the status of his love life and let’s just say it’s NOT what we wanted to hear…

Shattering our dreams, a rep for the Wolf Of Wall Street actor told the LA Times that Leo is “is single and has been for some time” adding that he is focused on shooting upcoming movie The Revenant at the moment. 

Looks like that's that then – no Leo and Rihanna romance after all!

Congrats to Chris Brown who has become a father! Except… it happened nine months ago!

The rapper is reportedly a dad to a toddler daughter with 31-year-old model Nia.

The pair have known each other for several years according to sources, but although they are "on very good terms" they are not currently an item, according to TMZ. 

After his relationship with Rihanna ended dramatically after accusations of domestic abuse in 2009, the rapper began seeing model Karrueche Tran. However they have split and reunited several times since, so it's not surprising there may have been other women too.

Shortly before Christmas, Chris and Karrueche cut ties in a blaze of angry social media posts, with the model saying she had been "repeatedly mistreated." Chris even went so far as to tell the audience at one of his gigs that he was "single too," adding "F**k that b***h." Ouch!

Chris has spoken before about his desire to have kids, saying he'd have been happy to have children with Rihanna or Karrueche. "I’m cool with two, one is fine, if on the first try it’s a boy," he told listeners on Power 105.1's Breakfast Club.

Well, he must have been delighted with the arrival of his new little girl in that case!
