Calvin Harris has confirmed he and girlfriend Rita Ora have split up.

The DJ took to Twitter to break the news after months of speculation their relationship was on the rocks, and said it happened “some time ago”.

Calvin tweeted, “To address speculation – myself and Rita ended our relationship some time ago. She is a beautiful, talented woman & I wish her all the best.”

Rita has so far stayed quiet on the break-up, so we hope she isn’t nursing a broken heart!

The pair have been dating since last May, and the 23-year-old singer even produced her latest single I Will Never Let You Down with the Scottish DJ.

The split announcement comes after 30-year-old Calvin was spotted leaving two Hollywood clubs this week with separate girls, as Rita stayed in Mexico with her family.

Rita Ora chose to cover her idol, Beyoncé’s hit single, Drunk In Love, on a recent TV appearance. 

Rumours had been rife for a few months now that Rita and Bey’s husband, Jay-Z, have been having an affair.

However, Rita shut those rumours down during a recent radio session, saying: “Don’t you dare disrespect Beyoncé like that ever again in your entire life. You should know better than that … that’s just straight up disrespect. You can’t even go there.”

Now, she proves her allegiance to her idol even more as she performed Bey’s song on television.

The singer was seen performing at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Glasgow yesterday and showed off her new colourful braids along with an impressive set of cornrows.

Rita rarely shies away from her blonde hair so it is refreshing to see her take a risk and change it.

Things just keep on getting better for Rita Ora, as she revealed today that she is continuing to make a bigger impact in the world of fashion.

Rita Ora took to Instagram to tell her followers that she has now become the new face of sporting brand, Adidas.

Rita has become the first female artist to become a face of the sporting brand and it was also revealed that Adidas’ new collection has been inspired by the singer’s own sense of style.

Rita gave her fans a sneak peak of the new colourful collection on Instagram, by sharing a snap of her wearing a bright blue hoodie from the new collection.

Rita said her collaboration with Adidas is perfect for her, as she grew up wearing various sporting clothes as child.

“I grew up working at a sneaker store when I was 16 and am a huge sneakerhead. It’s so cool that I’m able to do this with a brand that I sold when I was younger.”

Rita Ora recently spoke of what it was like to work with the cast of her new raunchy film, Fifty Shades of Grey especially with her famous co-star, Jamie Dornan.

Speaking on her first filming experience with Dornan, she said she considered Jamie a friend and that she also thought he was “gorgeous”.

But if Jamie’s recent remarks at Sunday’s BAFTA are anything to go by, he doesn’t seem that overly impressed by his co-star’s comments.

Apparently Jamie was questioned on whether he found Rita’s remarks about him to be flattering, to which he gave a blunt response of “No, I don’t”.

Jamie  apparently added to this, by saying Rita’s appearance on set was brief, so he didn’t understand how the two of them could be considered friends.

“She was only on set for two days. I wouldn’t say we’re friends.”

Ouch, we wonder what Rita would have to say about this?

Eek! We’re not so sure Rita Ora will be too happy about this!

Calvin Harris has been uploading selfies – with his ex-girlfriend Kesha.

The two were partying in Las Vegas when Calvin uploaded the photo to his Instagram account.

We’re sure Rita is secure in her relationship with Calvin – but is it ever easy to see your boyfriend with an ex?

Calvin first started seeing Kesha back in 2011 and the two have apparently remained close despite the relationship not working out.

2014 is definitely Rita Ora’s year, as she has already had a hit single in her song, I Will Never Let You Down and also managed to get herself a starring role on the new raunchy film, Fifty Shades of Grey.

But Rita has admitted that her experience on the Fifty Shades of Grey film set was a daunting one and she really felt like “an amateur” there.

“Working on Fifty Shades of Grey, I feel like an amateur in the background just watching and learning.”

Despite feeling uncomfortable on the film, Rita said the experience hasn’t put her off acting, as she revealed that she still wants to pursue further film roles in the future.

We’re not too sure what Michelle Rodriguez is going to make of this news!

Rita Ora has said that she has previously kissed her good pal, Cara Delevingne.

The singer told BBC 3 show, Sweat the Small Stuff, that she has kissed, or in her own words, “got off” with a few famous faces, Cara being one of them.

Rita is now dating DJ, Calvin Harris, we wonder what he makes of all of this!

Meanwhile, Cara is said to have split from her girlfriend, Michelle Rodriguez as the two have not been seen together for a few weeks now.

Rita Ora has admitted that working on the raunchy film Fifty Shades of Grey was a bit daunting.

The singer opened up about her experience recently and said that she enjoyed her time on the film, but was afraid she would embarrass her cast mates.

“I’ve just shot the movie, Fifty Shades Of Grey. That took up a lot of my time as I didn’t wanna embarrass anybody, so I made sure I knew exactly what I was doing. It was an incredible experience”

But it seems Rita got over first time film fears, as she now knows her way around a film set and has become really close with her cast mates.

“I went from not knowing what it’s like being on a movie set, to feeling like I knew them all for years, and I wasn’t even there for that long. They’d already been filming for months and months, so I came in mid-way through the film. I can honestly say it’s so cool to be in it. I’m so excited, I was really nervous. I kind of came in last minute, I auditioned last minute.”

Rita finished filming on Fifty Shades of Grey last month and is now promoting her new album.

Rita Ora is really going places; first she lands a contract with Rimmel London, then a role in the controversial film, Fifty Shades of Grey and now it looks highly likely that she will be the new face of Roberto Cavalli’s new collection.

The rumour mill went into overdrive when Rita herself shared an Instagram snap of her embracing Eva Cavalli, the designer’s wife last week.

Rita captioned the shot: “Get ready bots we might have another surprise for you @eva_cavalli’ and we’ve since been speculating wildly about the fabulous possibilities…”

While the Italian designer has refused to confirm whether or not Rita will be featuring on his new campaign, we reckon it won’t be long before Ora is fronting some big designer collection.
