The X Factor was set to return bigger and better this year with new judges, new hosts and even rumours of a new format, but there have already been problems one week in.

The series got off to a bad start at the weekend when the Manchester live auditions were cancelled due to the death of Simon Cowell's mother. But with the auditions rescheduled for today and tomorrow (July 6th and 7th), new judge Rita Ora has already had to pull out, as well as Olly Murs' co-host Caroline Flack.

Rita had apparently cleared her diary for the original audition dates last weekend, and with the changes she will no longer be able to appear on the show tomorrow.

While the Shine Ya Light singer will be there to film today, she then flies out to France for commitments at Paris Fashion Week with Karl Lagerfeld, according to The Mirror.

She had hoped to make it back for a 1pm start in Manchester on Thursday but now has decided to pull out of tomorrow's filming altogether. A spokesperson for ITV confirmed the news, saying the producers were making other arrangements for tomorrow. "Rita obviously wanted to be there but it is just unfortunate that with the change in filming dates there is an issue," the rep said.

"We will go ahead either with Simon, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Nick Grimshaw, or drafting in a guest judge." 

Rita was confirmed as a new judge on the show last month, along with BBC Radio 1 host Nick. The pair will join Cheryl and Simon on the panel for this series.

As for hosting duties, Olly Murs will be left to run the show by himself as Caroline flies to Mallorca to work on another project. "Caroline has to jet off to Majorca to film Love Island, so Olly… is going to have to host on his own," a source revealed.

Hopefully by the next round of auditions everyone will be present and correct once again…

Calvin Harris is currently being jetted around Europe courtesy of his new girlfriend Taylor Swift, but she's not his first high-profile girlfriend.

Long before even meeting Taylor, Calvin dated How We Do singer Rita Ora, and although things ended extremely messily, Rita says there's no bad feelings there at all nowadays.

Although Calvin was dating another woman prior to meeting Taylor – model Aarika Wolf – all eyes are on Rita now to see what she thinks of her ex's romance with a rival singer. There's no drama here though, as Rita says she's simply not the jealous type.

"I'm a girl's girl. I'm not going to have that first instinct of jealousy vibe," she told the Evening Standard.

Taylor and Rita have been pictured together numerous times at award shows, although they haven't seen much of each other since Calvin came on the scene. In fact, it's rumoured Rita stayed backstage at the recent Billboard Music Awards to avoid coming face-to-face with the couple. However Rita still speaks highly of the Shake It Off singer and says she has the utmost respect for her work.

"I think she's one of the most incredible songwriters of our generation. I'm not even just saying it," she told music channel Noisey back in May. "I support women and it comes back to you. I'd love that support. There's a fine line between believing in yourself and being a f***ng arsehole. I don't step on people's toes," she added.

Calvin and Rita dated for a year before things came to a sudden end last summer. Relations soon turned hostile when Scottish DJ Calvin refused to let his ex perform their joint track I Will Never Let You Down at last year's Teen Choice Awards, something which Rita says made things a bit "weird" between them.

We're glad to see there's no grudges being held after all of that drama.

What do you do if you're the girl who has everything? Start giving some of it away, of course.

Singer Rita Ora has had an incredible year, from her first cinematic role in Fifty Shades of Grey, her work on The Voice and The X Factor, and of course her BRIT and Billboard Award nominations.

She's definitely not one to take things for granted though, and admitted in an interview this week that she's given back some good karma into the world lately. How? By turning over the keys of her €1.8m London pad to her parents, Vera and Besnik.

Rita initially bought the lavish six-bedroom home for herself shortly before Christmas, but felt her mum and dad would get more use out of it.  "I think I've ended up giving the house to my parents, actually," she told Free Radio. "They need it more than me. I'm never really in one place." 

While Rita is now technically homeless, she didn't seem too put out, saying, "I'm back to square one but at least my parents have a place." World's Best Daughter? Absolutely.

Earlier this year it was reported that the singer had moved her boyfriend Ricky Hil into the house with her, but with rumours last month that the pair had parted ways it seems Rita's not so keen to live there any more.

As well as all those bedroom, the London mini-mansion also has three reception rooms, a garden and access to nearby tennis courts, according to The Sun. So we're sure Vera and Besnik will find somewhere to house Rita when she's home:

According to Simon Cowell, this year is the “make or break” year for The X Factor.

Joining the notorious music mogul on the panel this time round are Rita Ora, Nick Grimshaw and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.

The singing competition has suffered a huge loss of ratings in the last few years. Its last season struggled to compete with other talent shows, primarily Strictly Come Dancing.

However, you can dry those eyes because all hope is not lost just yet.

Speaking to the Daily Star Sunday, the 55-year-old admitted that “It does feel like make or break this year, but I feel like every year is make or break to be honest.”

He went even further saying, that “There were certain years when certain people won and it was like, ‘Oh, Christ’.”

Who could you ever be talking about, Simon? While he didn’t elaborate, we certainly have a few names in mind!

Although the father-of-one is certainly worried about the show’s ratings, he is forever inspired by the possibility of finding new talent. “Last year’s show made me realise there’s still a lot of talent to be discovered,” he admitted.

“You never forget those days when you feel a star is being born.”

This year Caroline Flack and Olly Murs will be co-hosting, while Rochelle Humes and Melvin Odoom are to present The Xtra Factor.

With so many names in the hat for the brand new X Factor judging panel, everyone from Niall Horan to Carly Rae Jepson has been linked with a spot. However, the latest name to be thrown into the mix has come as quite a surprise to us.

According to reports this weekend, none other than Rita Ora – as in, The Voice UK judge – is set to take up Mel B’s vacant seat on the panel.

Sources have told The Sun that the signing of her good pal Nick Grimshaw made her reconsider previous offers by Simon Cowell, and she is poised to ink a deal very soon.

“Re-signing Cheryl and getting Grimmy have changed everything. Rita really wants to be on the panel now, so it’s a matter of making the logistics work. There’s a lot to work through,” the source said.

While Rita is said to be in ‘advanced negotiations’ with Cowell and co, an X Factor spokesperson remained tight-lipped, merely saying that “no formal decision has been made about the line-up as yet”.

Other names that have been bandied about for this year’s panel are Louis Tomlinson, Ellie Goulding and even former judge Tulisa Contostavlos.

We think Rita would be perfect for the role, particularly after the success of her guest judging appearance three years ago. What are your thoughts?

Boy, does she move fast!

Photos of a loved-up Taylor Swift, 25, and her DJ boyfriend Calvin Harris, 31, having been popping up everywhere over the last few weeks.

The couple reportedly only met for the first time in February when they both attended the BRIT Awards in London – and it's certainly been a whirlwind romance ever since.

The first photos of the couple kissing surfaced at the Billboard Music Awards earlier this month, and since then they have been spotted everywhere together.

Only two nights ago the Feel So Close singer and Ms Swift were seen leaving her swish New York apartment to go on a date. He has previously dated Ellie Goulding and more recently had a nasty split from Rita Ora.

Tay-Tay has, of course, previously been linked to the likes of Harry Styles, Jake Gyllenhaal, and John Mayer.

And on Tuesday she was added to the prestigious Forbes 100 Most Powerful Women list.

The elite business publication stated that Taylor “has not only broken record sales and captivated the world with her fantastically honest lyrics, but she has proven herself as an impressive businesswoman.”

Let’s hope that this time round Taylor’s success will stretch to her love life too… we reckon she deserves it.

You would think Rita Ora would strongly dislike Taylor Swift since she is dating Rita's ex, Calvin Harris.

However, the 24-year-old doesn't have a bad word to say about Tay.

After the Billboard Music Awards, rumours spread that she had been backstage all night to avoid the newly loved-up couple, but that is not the case.

In a recent interview with Vice magazine, Rita said: "I think she's one of the most incredible songwriters of our generation. I'm not even just saying it. I absolutely adore her music and love what she stands for."

She also added: "You pay respect to people who deserve it—Beyoncé and Madonna. When Madonna was going through it on this last record, I was one of the first people to post my support on Instagram. Don't battle her because of her age. I'm a girl's girl, I support women and it comes back to you. I'd love that support. There's a fine line between believing in yourself and being a f**king arsehole. I don't step on people's toes."

Aw, how sweet of her.

We're sure Taylor would be delighted to hear this as it doesn't look like her romance with Calvin is just a fling.

The pair have been spotted looking very loved-up recently and we don't know who we are more jealous of…

Rita Ora has revealed that she has collaborated with our favourite man to sing about their friendship, and we could not be anymore excited.

During an interview with Noisey, Rita said: “I did this incredibly beautiful song with Ed about our friendship; he's one of my best friends."

"It's amazing having a friend in this industry of the opposite sex that you haven't hooked up with. He's such a legend. I respect him in so many ways," she said.

Lets face it though, who doesn't love Ed?

She has also admitted that her new music is a lot of her complaining about her love stories that went wrong while showing "gratitude and appreciation" at the same time.

The 24-year-old went on: “The selective people that have written with me have seen that I'm writing about controversial things, but they understand that it's time.

"It's time for me to share it, to state the reason for why people think I'm famous."

We had no idea about the feud between Rihanna and Rita Ora. 

Rihanna held a Met Gala after party at Up & Down nightclub in New York City on Monday following the Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

For some reason, the singer refused to give Rita Ora an invitation to the event, which was attended by celebrities such as Kylie Jenner and Justin Bieber.

A source told the Sun: "She has a real issue with Rita and this was her chance for revenge." 

"She made it clear when organising her party that Rita was not to gatecrash under any circumstances," they added.

The 27-year-old reportedly spent a lot of the night hanging out with Cara Delevingne, Rita's ex best friend which caused an awkward atmosphere between the 24-year-old and the model. 

A source said: "It was very icy between Rita and Cara. They spent the night trying to ignore each other. Rita decided to hang out with Miley Cyrus instead. She was never going to attend Rihanna's party because she'd made plans to go to another bash."

Rita ended up at Lady Gaga's after party at the Diamond Horseshoe nightclub instead. 

Hmmm, we wonder what drama has previously gone on there…

Anyone who has had their wisdom teeth removed will know the pain of waking up after surgery but not quite being ‘with it’.

After having her teeth removed recently, Rita Ora now knows all about this too.

Thankfully, the singer saw the hilarious side to her incoherent mumblings, sharing a video on Instagram and writing: “So I just took my wisdom teeth out and I think what I’m trying to say is chickens…oh god watching this back I don’t remember anything!!!! Straight to bed for me…byeeeee.”

Poor Rita, it’s never fun having surgery – and wisdom teeth removal can be particularly sore.

Rita’s future on The Voice has also been thrown into doubt after it was rumoured she would not return for another instalment of the talent show.

It was just days ago that she shared a snap of herself with fellow judges, Ricky, Tom Jones and Will I Am, writing: “I’m Gona [sic] miss these guys….thank you for being 3 of the best people to work with ever!! @bbcthevoice #TheCoachesBiatches.”

Aww, we’ll really miss Rita is she quits The Voice – she was always so nice and caring to the contestants.

And another one bites the dust.

This morning we reported that Hollyaoks star Stephanie Waring had called time on her relationship with boyfriend Riad Erraji, and now it has been revealed that The Voice judge Ricky Wilson is also now single.

The Kaiser Chiefs frontman admitted this weekend that he has split from his girlfriend of five years, TV producer Lesley Williams.

Opening up on the reason behind the break-up, Ricky revealed that the fame brought by his new role on the BBC talent show had its role to play.

“I took the risk of putting myself out there and I knew it was going to change me. I feel quite uncomfortable that I dragged someone else in who didn’t want that. It’s a huge part of my life and I find it tricky that I can’t have it both ways,” he said.

A source also told The Sun newspaper: “Ricky always wanted to keep Lesley out of the limelight and hates the idea that people will be talking about their break-up.”

Meanwhile, plenty of viewers have drawn attention to Ricky’s flirting with singer and fellow The Voice judge Rita Ora, who is in a relationship with designer Tommy Hilfiger’s son, Ricky.

Could there on-screen chemistry have also made for uncomfortable viewing?

Calvin Harris is a single man again after just seven months!

The DJ had been dating model Aarika Wolf since last summer, but they reportedly broke up recently. A source close to Calvin said the relationship ended "around the time of the BRITs last month."

The source added that things had ended well between Calvin and 21-year-old Aarika. "They were both into each other for a long time but it just didn't work out and they'll stay friends. Calvin is always really busy and is constantly travelling around to DJ gigs so he's happy to be single for a while."

It's thought the pair first met when Aarika was cast in the video for Calvin's song Blame back in August.

Calvin might have already moved on though, as there is speculation that he and Taylor Swift could be more than friends. The pair were seen chatting together at the BRITs with Calvin apparently being VERY "touchy feely," and Taylor even flew out to Nevada to watch Calvin DJ earlier this month – though she kept quiet about it on social media!

Before meeting Aarika, Calvin dated singer Rita Ora for nine months, a relationship which ended messily last year when Calvin prevented Rita from performing a song he had written and produced for her at the Teen Choice Awards.

Rita did not cope well with the split, saying at the time that she was "not doing too great" but that she was still "doing better than [she would have] thought," adding, "I adore him and he’s such an amazing human being. It was more about the situation. It was inconvenient. It sucks. It wasn’t about ‘us.’ It was about the world we live in."

We hope Calvin's coping well with the break-up this time around!
