We all know that the high street and designer markets do not really cater to us more vivacious ladies. 

So it is always a welcome announcement when a well known fashion brand leads the pack and releases a plus size collection designed especially for curvy women. 

And of course River Island are combining their amazing eye for current trends with comfortable and easy to wear silhouettes to suit all shapes and sizes. 

The collection is set to debut in March of next year and will include a number of pieces from the core collections available in sizes 18-24. 

And the GORGEOUS Candice Huffine (who was the first plus-size model to land a cover of Vogue) is set to front the exciting campaign. 

"The fact that River Island is extending their sizing while staying true to their brand is perfection," said the stunning Candice.

And it seems that high street giant has acknowledged to benefits of expanding their sizing to suit a wider portion of the market.

"We're excited about giving great fashion to more women, we feel this is the right time for the brand to expand our size range offering," said River Island marketing director Josie Roscop to Vogue UK.

"Ultimately, it's about fashion and being inclusive."

Every Christmas season there's a key festive fashion stable that seems to take over. 

And this year – we're particularly taken with the red fringe shoes that are on a whole load of seriously stylish feet right now.

Better still: two killer versions are available in two of our favourite stores – River Island AND Penneys.

This version from River Island is now reduced to €45

 

Previously, the former pair were priced at a cool €75, but it's now come to our attention that riversland.com (as well as stores nationwide) has marked them down to just €45.

Thank you, wardrobe gods!

But here's the spanner in the works: Penneys is selling its red fringe shoes for just €19. And other than a little tassel detail on the ankle, they are remarkable similar.

Well, we'd only be delira with either offering: indeed, a quick reconnaissance mission to Penneys and River Island – along with a bank balance evaluation – should help us along our way.

Yesterday SHEmazing! got the chance to have a sneak preview of what is set to hit River Island shops in the coming months, and we are SO excited. 

This season has been dominated by camel colours, fringe and statement jewellery, and don't worry, these trends are not going anywhere yet as River Island have brought them back again with a more autumn/winter spin. The A/W15 collection also features loads of faux fur, perfect for looking chic on colder days.

We're talking coats, jackets, bags and shoes, it's so stylish and with plenty of colour. But our favourite thing of all about this new collection has to be the sixties and seventies running throughout: think over-the-knee boots, miniskirts and vintage-style prints.

We know you're not ready to let go of the summer clothes just yet, but we guarantee you'll be tempted to plan ahead when you see what's on offer for A/W15.

We thought that we knew Rihanna as an eight-time Grammy winning pop star and social media extraordinaire (check out her Snapchat stories for guaranteed laughs).

Now though, it has finally happened: Riri is set to have her very own fashion line.

Never one to just go with the crowd when it comes to her fashion choices, the one-time creative director for Puma and the River Island collaborator is going to have her very own line of clothing. Yay!

According to reports by Grazia the Umbrella singer has filed an application with the US Patent And Trademarks Office for the name $CHOOL Kills. The patent is filed under “leather products” and “clothing products” categories.

If the rumours are true and the patent filings mean what we all hope they mean, this would be Rihanna’s first ever exclusive clothing line.

Not too surprising considering Rihanna has had previous ventures into the fashion industry.

Her Rihanna For River Island designs were responsible for boosting the retailer's sales in 2014.

But given their chief executive Ben Lewis has previous said there were no further collaborations planned with the singer, we’ve all been hoping her unique style choices would be available to us mere mortals soon.

We're thinking lots of sport luxe bomber jackets and dramatic maxi dresses. Also, plenty of gold accessories and snapbacks. 

While we wait impatiently for further news on Riri’s future fashion adventures, we can always check in with the superstar’s Instagram account for some fashion inspiration.

After all, no one rocks a crop top or over the knee socks quite like this fashion icon.

Ok, so we have picked out a few things you need to purchase on your next pay day, and, yes you guessed it, they are all SHOES!

We know the good weather isn't always promised but June has been good so far so we definitely think it's safe to invest in a few sandals.

With mid-season sales beginning everywhere at the moment, we don't think you need much convincing either…

First up, for those summer nights out, you need a good pair of wedges. These will see you through the long BBQ/evening pints that turn into a full blown night of dancing as they are SO comfortable!

River Island has to be one of our favourite highstreet stores here in SHEmazing HQ, so when they invited us into their showroom to get a sneak peek of their new Autumn Winter collection before it hits the stores, well we jumped at the opportunity! Ciara O’Doherty popped into their showroom recently, and saw everything from basic leather pieces, gorgeous full coats, and even some fabulous statement flats. Millie Mackintosh and Professor Green have recreated John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s bed protest for charity.

The celebrity couple have collaborated with River Island to raise money for charity War Child.

Former Made in Chelsea star Millie left her designer clobber at home in favour of a charity T-shirt designed by River Island, which will go on sale from tomorrow for the charity.

The couple recreated the Beatles‘ star and Yoko’s “bed-in” from their 1969 protest against the Vietnam War.

Millie said she felt “flattered” to recreate the “bed-in” as John and Yoko “were one of the most iconic couples” ever.

The T-shirt is an exact replica of the one John Lennon wore to the Cannes Film Festival in 1971, and is available at River Island from tomorrow.
