Gone! Kaley Cuoco’s marriage is over, and so is her wedding tattoo

She called off her marriage just two months ago, but Kaley Cuoco is already taking decisive action to erase all memories of the past.

The actress set about "righting wrongs" yesterday, heading to a tattoo parlour in Los Angeles to have a very meaningful tattoo covered up.

Her inking, a set of roman numerals which represent the date of her wedding to ex-husband Ryan Sweeting, is now covered up by a large moth tattoo.

During the work-in-progress, Kaley posted a snap to Instagram thanking tattoo artist Justin Nero for his work and adding, "Note to self- do not mark your body with any future wedding dates #under30mistakes #donttakeyourselftooseriouslykids."

Kaley's tattoo, which sat at the nape of her neck, marked her New Year's Eve wedding to tennis pro Ryan back in 2013. At the time the newlyweds got matching inkings, with Ryan's still visible on his wrist alongside Kaley's name in large script.

The couple ended their 21-month marriage in September after almost a year of speculation in the media that something was amiss.

According to various sources, Kaley's decision to end things was spurred on her her husband's addiction to prescription painkillers, which started when he injured his back shortly after getting married.

"She supported him, but she said he couldn't make the commitment to get sober," a source told Us Weekly last month.

"He'd tell her he was working on it, and instead go get wasted."

Meanwhile, Kaley has been busy fending off claims that her increased closeness to actor Johnny Galecki was the reason for her split.

The pair, who star together on The Big Bang Theory, dated back in 2008 and still remain good friends.

Just last month, they took to social media to insist they were just good pals.

But a new snap of Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki looking flirtier than ever has us thinking we're not quite getting the full story.

The Big Bang Theory co-stars, who did date back in 2009, were partying together in Los Angeles on Saturday night – and no doubt a few eyebrows were raised when Johnny posted this selfie to Instagram:

"Hilarious night out in the LA Arts District w/@normancook #BFFsbite," the actor wrote alongsid ea picture of him biting a laughing Kaley on the neck.

The pair are both free agents these days, after Kaley filed for divorce from her husband Ryan Sweeting back in September.

It's thought the couple's shock split was related to Ryan's addiction issues, in particular his dependence on prescription painkillers – something which only became an issue when he injured his back shortly after their December 2013 wedding.

But despite her ongoing flirty friendship with Johnny, Kaley has been keen to make it clear nothing is going on.

"So sorry to disappoint, but no home wreckers or secret flings going on here," she wrote next to a picture of herself and Johnny on Instagram three weeks ago.

With an estimated worth of €37million, it's no surprise Kaley Cuoco was keen to get a pre-nuptial agreement before her ill-fated marriage to Ryan Sweeting.

But splitting up a marriage is never going to be as easy as following the rules of a contract… or so Ryan believes.

The former tennis pro, who has assets worth around €2million himself, is said to be seeking 'spousal support' from Kaley, after the couple confirmed their split last month.

Ryan filed the claim last week, three weeks after Kaley filed for divorce.

Generally with a pre-nup, a divorce can go through quite quickly, but with Ryan's new request for financial support, the process could take a lot longer.

It's thought the couple's shock split was related to Ryan's addiction issues, in particular his dependence on prescription painkillers – something which only became an issue when he injured his back shortly after their December 2013 wedding.

Barely three weeks after confirming her divorce from Ryan Sweeting, Kaley Cuoco has taken to Instagram to address some other romance-related rumours.

The actress didn't mince her words with a post yesterday that flat-out denied there was anything going on with her Big Bang Theory co-star Johnny Galecki.

"So sorry to disappoint, but no home wreckers or secret flings going on here," she wrote next to a picture of herself and Johnny.

"Me and @sanctionedjohnnygalecki are just the best of buds- Leonard and Penny will just have to suffice!!!"

As well as having an on-screen romance for The Big Bang Theory, Kaley and Johnny did date back in 2008 and 2009 – but she swears they are just friends now.

Johnny echoed the sentiment with a similar – and equally blunt – Instagram post.

"No scandals / home wreckers / pregnancies here, y'all. Just profound friendship," he wrote.

Various reports of late suggested that Kaley and Johnny's growing closeness had fuelled her split from Ryan, who she married less than two years ago.

Although she has yet to speak about the split to the media, and official statement from Kaley and Ryan's reps said they had "mutually decided" to end things.

Just days before the break-up, Kaley spoke happily about how well herself, Johnny and Ryan got on, saying there was no awkwardness.

"He [Johnny] is one of my dearest friends and Ryan loves him. Johnny loves [Ryan]," she said. "I got lucky."

Big Bang Theory actress Kaley Cuoco was due to mark her second wedding anniversary in just a few short months, but this evening she confirmed it was all over.

Kaley and her husband Ryan Sweeting revealed they were getting a divorce in a joint statement, saying they had "mutually decided" to end things.

The pair said they would be issuing no further statements and asked for privacy from the media.

Though it seems fans will have to wait a while for a tell-all interview, Kaley did give some indication as to how she was coping this evening, posting a telling picture to Instagram with the hashtag #mood:

Rosé and puppy hangouts… the perfect cure for a broken heart.

In a standard break-up move, Kaley has already deleted all pictures of herself and Ryan from her Instagram, which she runs under her dog's name, Norman Cook.

She's also unfollowed all Ryan's social media accounts, though as of now he's still mentioned in her Instagram bio:

Kaley and her now-estranged husband married on New Year's Eve 2013 after a whirlwind romance, getting engaged just three months into their relationship.

Despite the speed at which things moved, Kaley seemed content in the early days of the marriage, even joking about how things must look from the outside.

"It sounds so slutty, but it wasn't," she told David Letterman.

"We met on a blind date… We texted a little bit, dinner was great, and then he moved in the next day."

Back in May, Kaley took to Instagram to fend off rumours that things were rocky for her and Ryan.

"[A]ll of you who take it upon yourselves to trash our marriage, daily workings of our relationship and everything in between, go ahead and keep doing it, cause it only makes us stronger," she wrote.

"I'm so proud of his [Ryan's] passion and his inner strength to fight back, but most of all I am proud to be his wife."

We can imagine that it’s pretty exhausting to be actress Kaley Cuoco. As well as being one of Hollywood’s top actresses, she seems to find herself at the centre of crazy rumours on a weekly basis.

The latest reports have deviated between her being pregnant, and divorcing husband Ryan Sweeting, so the Big Bang Theory star decided to tackle them head-on via Instagram this weekend.

The 29-year-old posted a tongue-in-cheek photo montage of herself and Ryan looking very cosy indeed, quite literally laughing off the rumours in the photo’s caption.

“We are totally getting divorced, can’t you tell!!?! 4 weeks apart and finally reunited – I missed this guy more than anything!” she wrote.

Those pesky ‘sources’ should be silenced after reading Kaley’s accompanying hashtags; ‘rumours’, ‘not pregnant’ and ‘totally married’.

So there you have it, from the horses’ mouths!

Kaley and professional tennis player Ryan began dating in 2013, going on to get engaged just three months later, in September. The couple went on to exchange vows in front of family and friends on New Year’s Eve of 2013, with Kaley wearing a pretty pink gown for her big day.
