It doesn’t matter where you went to school in Ireland – these lot were there.

Which famous clique were you a part of growing up?

1. The D4′s
Whether or not they were from Dublin4, it didn’t change the fact they rocked Dubes, had Roxy schoolbags and wore those coral necklaces. Activities from this gang would usually include going on shopping trips to New York and supporting the local rugby team.

The_O.C._-_The_Core_Four2. The Scary Crowd
“WHAT ARE YOU LOOKIN’ AT?” Everyone who was not in this group, tended to stay the hell away from them. The Scary Crowd were always a frightening bunch and straightening/gelling their hair to bits was a general past time for these lovely class members. It seems that no matter what you did, you somehow managed to slag their cousin.

14brgig3. The Messers
Ah these classmates were always good craic. The Messers tended to be good-hearted people who wanted to bring a little laughter into the school day. Whether that was drawing a penis on the blackboard or slagging the teacher, the Messers were no doubt the best craic in the year.

tumblr_l66vip1geF1qzdf0go1_4004. The Sporty People
The Sporty people tend to be almost always out of class. This made everyone jealous that they got to miss the horrible maths test and occasional homework. It felt like they were excused from academic work because they could kick a football or something.

tumblr_inline_mv6r2rxauX1qcryb65. The Emo Kids
This group mostly kept to themselves. They did not indulge in socialising often, especially not in school. You often find them hanging out with other angsty teenagers at the weekend in town squares or at Central Bank, wearing nothing but black. They would also often inscribe worrying lyrics into tables during class.

tumblr_lm390bs01h1qcqavbo1_5006. The Nerds
These were the folk who stayed in and did their homework while the rest of us were off drinking in the local field. These people were generally terrified of interaction with others who were not nerds for the fear they would be asked for the answer of last night’s maths questions. Realistically they’re probably rolling around in money somewhere right now.

82606-nerd-alert-gif-Austin-Powers-tVhE7. The Bebo Stunnahs
They had 100,000+ pages views on Bebo, and were constantly getting in trouble for having too many piercings/blue hair/wearing a hello kitty onesie instead of their uniform. These people have no doubt evolved into Hipsters and are now roaming the streets in over-sized denim jackets and vintage rubbish bags.

giphy8. The Rockers
It was band t-shirt and combat trousers all round in this group. When they weren’t busy not taking a shower, they would spend they’re time listening or pretending to like Metallica and praised Tenacious D. Generally a friendly group of teens, looking more threatening than they actually were.

10. The Popular People
Don’t lie, we all wanted to hang out with the popular people. They had the best parties and knew all the good sessions. They resembled the cast members of The O.C and didn’t have a spot or a blemish in sight. Jerks.

While some of these may be similar for people who went to singe sex schools too, it’s just not quite the same as having boys in your class!

1. You can’t stand the sight of uniforms
In mixed schools everyone has to wear the same uniform. They may have these in single sex schools too, but it’s harder for us – we’re trying to impress here!

disgusted-Al-Bundy2. Transition year was the best year of your life
Fun in the sun, getting to really know your class…ya, it was a great year.

post-27420-Taylor-Swift-I-love-you-guys-g-HbE93. Sports days
Boys against girls was always the biggest rush ever! They always won tug-of-war, but we kicked their asses in rounders!

tumblr_lex7uq3fxJ1qdubemo1_5004. P.E.
The guys would slag the girls who always pretended they couldn’t play – but they secretly loved to see us watching from the sidelines.

5.  The Beep test
We all remember the dreaded beep test that we had to do every year. The guys that played sports always dropped out early and the smokers did better than expected. Then they were those who would use every excuse in the book to get out of doing it.

489788396. Getting jocked
You think this only happened to guys? Oh, no. Instead of our skirts being pulled down, they were instead pulled up over our heads. Thank God for leggings which came back into fashion circa 2002.

troll-dude-pulling-down-reporters-pants-on-live-tv7. Strange nicknames
They were always after some sort of animal or a strange object because we knew that giving someone a nickname was the ultimate revenge. Anytime you would meet old friends from school they always call you by your nickname.

tumblr_mjctzi4xdN1r70r3vo2_4008. On non-uniform days you dressed to impress
It’s your time to shine!

tumblr_lljlqjGrdr1qja3x0o1_4009. Classroom romance
Of course, there were many couples down through the years, which at best lasted for a week or two. However, there is that one couple who are still together. WTF?

tumblr_m7lhxiezv31rtg9im10. Your textbooks were full of lovehearts and penises
Everyone gets bored in class so we would resort to doodling. For girls, it was whoever their crush was at the time and, of course, for guys they couldn’t help drawing  penises on their textbooks for some strange reason.

11. Girls made it really obvious when they liked someone
It would appear that the art of subtlety wasn’t instilled into us until some time around 5th year.

that-awkward-moment-when-you-say-hi-to-your-crush_152812. The hot male/female teacher
There was always one teacher that every guy liked, usually the sexy English teacher and for girls it was the Art teacher that  had amazing hair. On results night, everyone made their embarrassing attempts to try and hook up with them.

 13. The day everyone got injections
It was like an emergency room: people fainting, people getting sick and that one lad who’s arm bruised up. No one likes needles, but anytime we heard that we had to get injections, our hearts would collectively sink.

giphy14. Unisex scraps
We all had that one person we didn’t get on with in schoolwhether you were a guy or a girl. After school or even sometimes during lunch, fights were organized. Usually it was between two lads, but there was always a fair share of girls that fought because they didn’t like each others hair.

giphy15. You know not to get on the bad side of a girl with an attitude
There is always that one girl that had a bad temper and called herself a ghetto bitch. It is best just to stay clear off her and hope you don’t get paired up in class.

tumblr_mu0i462kS61riqrcno1_50016.  Mitching off school to head into town
And then getting caught before you even reach the school gate – dammit!

BreakfastClub17. You lived for class trips
Getting away from the daily grind of school life was always the best part of your year. The lucky ones got to go abroad to Paris or Berlin, but for everyone else they had to make do with an adventure centre. Either way, school trips down the country meant no homework , no study and no parents.

Ah college, you served us well. Now that we have entered the dreaded real world, we have come to appreciate the time we spent in college, lazing away and occasionally strolling around the library.

Here are some of the things we are still mourning about college life:

1. It’s still socially acceptable to be an immature eejit
Not a girl, not yet a woman.

12. College is the last time you’ll have absolutely zero responsibility
The only task you have is to pass your exams, everything else ultimately ends up in the care of someone else.

23. It’s okay to scrounge off your parents
You can call up your parents and ask them for rent (beer) money without hesitation, and they will usually give in to your request.

34. You don’t mind drinking cheap beer and vodka
Tesco finest vodka and gin and maybe some Buckfast for good measure.

image505. You don’t work a full-time job
Because you can’t. Hello, we have tutorials. Zzz…

u6. Having the freedom to come and go as you please
Missed a lecture? It’s graaaaand, you’ll totally make it next week. But you miss work ONE time and they freak. What’s the deal?

giphy7. Not having mind-crushing hangovers
Remember when you could down a naggin and wake up singing? Us neither, puuuke!

l

8. It was still somewhat somewhat acceptable to take weird drunken photos.
Now you’ll never get hired if these hit your newsfeed…

Drunk-People-horse9. You enjoy living weekend to weekend
Before you started working full time, you could party anytime you like, now it’s strictly Friday and Saturday nights. How dull.

giphy10. 4 months off in the summer
Ah, them were the days. This gem even inspired a lot of us to become teachers, you know.

The professional procrastinator has the ability to see an interest in every single thing around them…except what they should be doing. Have you experienced any of these?

1. Sleeping.

You have a few days extra at home before you have to make the trek back to college, and everyone knows that no bed is as comfortable as your bed at home.

2. Binge watching netflix series

3. Obsessively painting nails a different colour…every hour

4. Trying out every single hairstyle on Lauren Conrad’s website

5. Shopping

6. Downloading new music

Illegally downloading tonnes of tracks to get your pre-drinks playlist ready for summer. Sure it doesn’t even take that long!

7. Dancing.

8. Playing an instrument.

Sure the parents will only be delighted that you’ve taken an interest in the violin after the years of lessons they forced you to take.

9. Trying out new make-up looks

10. Making millions of cups of tea

Miley Cyrus said she was bullied at school for having acne.

The Wreaking Ball singer said she was picked on by her classmates for having “really bad skin”. The singer also opened up about her battle with depression at that time.

”I went through a time where I was really depressed. Like, I locked myself in my room and my dad had to break my door down,” said Miley. ”It was a lot to do with… I had really bad skin and I felt really bullied because of that.”

”But I never was depressed because of the way someone else made me feel. I just was depressed,” she said.

Miley has had an emotional few days after her beloved dog Floyd passed away last Tuesday.

The star posted a series of distressed messages on Twitter last weekend writing, ”I wanna sleep but all I can do is cry I never wanna go home to a house where Floyd isnt running & playing how do I get thru this.”
