Cillian Murphy says Peaky Blinders will return…but fans will be waiting
With Cillian Murphy leading the way as the notorious Tommy Shelby, the Peaky Blinders was bound to become an instant hit.
But unfortunately for fans of the gritty period drama, it looks Series 4 will not hit screens until late 2017.
Speaking to The Birmingham Mail at the premiere of Free Fire, Cork native Cillian revealed that filming will begin in March 2017, which means the first episode is unlikely to air before next Autumn.
The 40-year-old star explained: “We start shooting the next series next March, I think.”
“The success of it is down to really great writing. People in America love it, people in Australia love it, people in Poland love it – it’s mad.”
In May, it was announced that two more seasons of family-fuelled Birmingham-based crime would go into production.
The news came after the third series of the show was broadcast worldwide via Netflix.
