First Instagram, now Facebook is following the shopping online suit.

The social network will not only be the place where you stalk your boyfriend's ex; but also where you can make regrettable impulse buys late at night.

Yes, Facebook are now making it possible to shop from your favourite stores though the site.

The website is launching a few new features for businesses that will make them easier to shop through your phone.

First, they're testing a Call To Action button on certain pages that will practically shout at you to shop in their store. They are also set to feature a new Shop Now button.

As well as that, they're allowing pages to have specific tabs titled Shop and Services

The Services tab is like seeing the full menu of a restaurant – you still have to go through the company to make a purchase, but it's a shortcut all the same to help figure out where you want to shop, eat or get a mani-pedi.

The Shop tab will let retailers showcase their products through the site, and let customers pay with the handy Shop Now button. Easy!

At this point, the shopping section of the app will pop up gradually throughout the next few months, so be careful next time you go on Facebook after a few too many glasses of wine.

Not only your head but you wallet will hurt come morning.

Kildare Village has just introduced a new service for canine-keen customers: kennels for dogs so you can bring them along with you while you shop.

Yep, forget about a creche for the kids – dog minding is about to take over.

The chic shopping outlet has introduced a total of four new kennels on site so you can leave your pooch behind while you have a look around the shops in peace.

The service is complimentary too: just go to the Tourist Information Centre when you arrive and they will sort you and your hound out.

It is the first service of its kind in Ireland.

The Village itself is currently expanding with 36 new shops due to open this November. The retail spot first opened in 2006.

Have you ever had that horrible moment when you bring your latest fashion purchase home and realise it looks completely different than it did in the shop?

You’re not alone, it happens to people everywhere, every single say. Needless to say, it can get frustrating.

In attempts to remove this annoyance from the lives of any and all shoppers, Buzzfeed went to 20 different dressing rooms to find out why we feel like shadow monsters in some, and fashionistas in others.

Kristin was able to divide the dressing rooms into various categories after her adventures.

  1. These had terribly harsh overhead lighting which she reported was not flattering
  2. Similar to a public bathroom, the overhead lighting wasn’t dedicated to a single stall, meaning everything gets a bit washed out
  3. Lights everywhere! Overhead lights combined with front lights were found to be unnecessary.
  4. The dressing rooms that allow for even the most pale to embrace their bronzed goddess.
  5. The ones that let you know exactly where all of your body parts belong, in case you forgot.
  6. The magic dressing rooms full of flattery.

After visiting 20 different dressing rooms and realising in almost each one she appeared entirely different despite wearing the same outfit, Kristin shared her findings:

“There is no such thing as “normal” lighting. But if you change your environment and you still like what you look like, then congratulations: You have won at shopping.”

She continued; harsh overhead lights are not flattering for anyone and those weird bumps and lumps are in your imagination, magnified by the lighting. Dressing rooms with vertical lights on either side of the mirror are amazing, just be careful you don’t get caught up in the excitement and blow your entire budget in one go.

Still not certain you want to proceed with your purchase? Apparently the wisest option is to try and step outside of the dressing room and take picture, or ask for someone else’s opinion. Just make sure your shopping buddy is someone you have style trust in.

We have some excellent news for online shopaholics, and also people who just couldn’t be bothered to get up and walk to the other side of the room and rummage around in their handbag for their purse.

MasterCard is soon going to start testing their newest feature that is going to revolutionise your selfie game, and your shopping habits.

The new feature will enable you to make purchases through a facial scan. Welcome to the future.

If you’re online shopping, you’ll be prompted to snap a selfie at the checkout in order to complete the purchase. MasterCard think it’s going to be much easier than remembering your password.

We have to agree. Who can ever remember that extra pesky password that only some websites ask you for? We know, online shopping safety is an important issue but you know the frustration we’re talking about here.

CNN Money reports that the feature is initially going to be tested on a group of 500 customers. The lucky bunch.

The MasterCard will prompt you to choose a method of authorisation, if you choose the facial recognition you just need to look at the camera, and blink, once. MasterCard won’t actually receive your image, and as of yet there haven’t been any real criteria for the selfies released.

So pajama selfies could soon be a legitimate payment method? This is going to take our lazy game to a whole new level.

The credit company said “The new generation, which is into selfies … I think they’ll find it cool. They’ll embrace it.”

The new generation is now also going to be more tempted than ever to make some ridiculous online purchases if this goes to plan.

Goodbye passwords, our desire for fierce brows and good lighting just increased rapidly.

She's surely well-used to KUWTK enthusiasts getting up close and personal, but Kylie Jenner did not take kindly to one brash fan's remarks yesterday.

Out in Beverly Hills shopping with her model sister, Kendall, the siblings were making their way back to their silver Mercedes Benz G-Wagon when a man filming on his phone got a little too close to the 17-year-old reality TV star.

Dressed in a white t-shirt, black Nike shorts and wearing sunglass, he repeatedly asked her "what that mouth do?" while pushing his phone up towards her lips.

The annoyance eventually prompted the usually-composed Kylie to respond with: "Get the f*** out of my face."

And her fans are definitely on her side.

Calling the as-yet unidentified individual, who appears to be in his 30s or 40s, "rude," a "d***," and a "twat," one Instagram user furthermore stated: "I'm judging anyone defending this disgusting guy.

"He made sexual comments towards a 17 year old while shoving a camera right in her face. If you defend that, you have issues."

And others thought she was remarkably restrained given the circumstances. "I would have kicked him in the nuts," another user said.

They then added: "She has a lot more grace than I would have had if someone would be asking offensive s*** like this."

Also at the weekend, Kylie made a successful appearance in Miami, where she was promoting the Sugar Factory, a candy-themed restaurant.

It’s a scenario that most of us will be familiar with: we spot a must-have item, try it on, and fall desperately in love. The only problem? You’re weeks away from pay-day and the price-tag is less than obliging.

Still, there’s a tried-and-tested defence that we’ve probably all drawn on at some stage or another: “I’ll get loads of wear out of it.” In fact, the line is our number one excuse to justify shopping – according to research carried out by gift card company, One4all.

Incredibly, one in five shop for new clothes every single week, and close-to one in four shop monthly. A massive 78 percent of us treat ourselves to something new when we reach a milestone, and more than half use shopping as a pick-me-up when we’re feeling down.

And now there’s yet another excuse – namely the wholly commendable Shop4Crumlin campaign.

From May 9 to May 17 if you make a purchase using your One4all gift card in any of their 6,000 retail outlets nationwide or online, One4all will donate 50c to Our Lady’s Hospital Crumlin. Better still, if you shop in Brown Thomas, Marks & Spencer, Debenhams, Arnotts, or Life Style Sports, the retailers will match your donation with another 50c, bringing your total donation to €1.

“The money raised from this campaign will help fund new radiography equipment which will reduce the radiation dose to a child while also improving X-ray imagery,” Crumlin says, adding that some of the money will also go towards its Giggle Fund, which helps put a smile on the face of a sick child.

One4all is now telling people to dig out their gift cards – so if there’s an unused Christmas or birthday present knocking around still, then get spending guilt-free from May 9 – 17.

There are a whole variety of characters you might meet on any given day in the shops. Most of them are not so fun.

Here are the 8 types of people you meet while shopping… we're sure you can relate.

1. The awkward boyfriend
Standing uncomfortably beside his girlfriend while she bra shops.

2. The slow walkers
Excuse me lady, Penneys isn't going to destroy itself.

3. The woman with the buggy in front of you during the River Island sale
Why today? Why now? Why me?

4. The not-so-innocent old lady
I know you're elderly but this is the last size ten so I'll fight to the grave.

5. The person texting in front of you
You can't tell you're annoying me but you really are.

6. The unsure mother
You have seven seconds to decide whether or not you're going to purchase that for your daughter because if not, coral looks great on me.

7. The person who complains about you for no reason
We're clothes shopping, it's all about competition and possible violence…

8. The gathering of the size threes
All shoes are reduced and the only ones left are size three. Let the games begin…

Sometimes we can feel a little guilty indulging ourselves in shops when we know we should be saving – but there has never been a better or more charitable reason to go shopping than this…

Bestseller, the retail company behind some of our favourite stores such as Vila, Vera Moda and Only are running the Give-A-Day campaign in aid of Crumlin Children's Hospital tomorrow across its Irish stores.

In aid of CMRF Crumlin, the children’s hospital will receive an incredible 50% of the net turnover generated in its stores across Ireland on Friday 10th April. The other 50% will go to a global charity.

With 81 stores across Ireland, this campaign could raise some much-needed funds for Crumlin Children’s Hospital.

So, ladies has there ever been a better reason to check out the high street tomorrow? We thought not.

If you don’t need anything yourself, don’t forget that Jack & Jones is also a Bestseller store so you could pick up something nice for your boyfriend, dad or brother.

Happy shopping!

So many of us consider a day of shopping the ultimate treat… and then we do it.

Why, oh why, do we always forget how stressful it can be?

Are we suffering from retail-induced amnesia or do we just refuse to admit that we find something which has been marketed to us as a traditional female pleasure completely unpleasurable at times?

Let’s all stand tall and admit that shopping is a MAJOR head-melt more often than not.

Here are 10 reasons why.

1) When the hangers don’t match the tags so finding your size on the rail is like an episode of Crystal Maze.

Question: Do the staff do it for their own personal entertainment?
Answer: Yes

2) When you’ve finally landed upon your dream dress and then discover a line of foundation along the collar.

Mmmm… another girl’s face. I’ll take it!

3) When the size 10 is too small and the size 12 is too big.

Why don’t sizes 9, 11, 13 and 15 exist? Why?

4) When a garment is absolutely perfect except for one detail which you can’t overlook.

Glitter epaulettes, anyone? *sigh*

5) When all ten items you’ve brought into the fitting room look so atrocious, you question your sanity and vision for having chosen them in the first place.

Get them off! Get them off!

6) When the mirrors are OUTSIDE the cubicle and you have to skulk out from behind the curtain to see yourself in ankle socks, hairy legs and a dress with glitter epaulettes.

It's fun being me.

7) When you’re dress shopping in winter and every fitting room expedition demands you strip off the 13 layers you dressed in.

This is a great way to spend a day. No, really.

8) Being told you’re only entitled to credit, so you take it as a personal challenge, but choose something you don’t even want, won’t even wear and aren’t even quite sure what it is.

Is it a cape? Is it a skirt? What are these tassels all about? I’d like one, please.

8) Being told it’s 3 for 2 on the rare occasion you couldn’t possibly need any more make-up or toiletries.

Argh, what’s this thing do? Nose-hair trimmer? Gimme and get me the hell out of here.

9) When a store decides you're three sizes larger than you actually are.

Thanks for that, guys.

10) Having no money and seeing all the things; having loads of money and seeing NONE of the things.

Why won’t you shut up and take my cash dammit!
