So, it looks like we're in for another week of unpredictable weather.

Although conditions definitely look set to improve, patches of rain and drizzle will continue throughout the next few days.

This morning will give way to bright and sunny spells with just a few scattered showers.

Rain will then extend from the southwest coast through Munster and Connacht this afternoon and remaining areas later this evening. Top temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees.

It will be a cloudy and damp start tomorrow, but some bright periods are due to develop later in the afternoon. A mild day, with top temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees.

Scattered showers and sunny spells will continue throughout the rest of the week.

Friday looks set to be the warmest day with temperatures expected to reach highs of 17 to 20 degrees.

The outlook for the weekend is still unclear, however a lot of dry weather is expected, with occasional sunny spells and just a few showers.

Temperatures in the high teens for most areas.

Not the worst but certainly not the best. Fingers crossed for next week lads.

She may have arrived in the jungle looking pretty high-maintenance, but behind Scarlett Moffatt's nails, tan and hair extensions, it sounds like she was only dying to go au naturel.

After being crowned the Queen of the Jungle, the Gogglebox star opened up about her hygiene routine while Down Under, and it doesn't exactly tally with the gal who made a spray tan her priority before taking her place on I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, the reality star revealed that over the course of three weeks, she showered – wait for it – just four times.

Reflecting on her camp mate Sam Quek's shower routine, Scarlett said: "We did it together, so four! And I had a couple of dips in the creek."

Justifying her decision to avoid the shower, Scarlett joked: "It's not smell-o-vision, is it?"

"I fully embraced being feral. My hair still smells of campfire. I've tried washing it out and it just takes forever." the 26-year-old admitted.

And while the rest of us would just keep trying on that front, it sounds like Scarlett's mum, who rose to fame alongside her daughter on Gogglebox, has other ideas.

"My mam told me to Febreeze my hair. I said: 'I'm not Febreezing my hair!'" Scarlett exclaimed.

We're with her on that one, Betty.

You know how we're all so excited about this glorious weather? Well then you better gear up to hear this news.

Met Éireann has released an orange weather warning for the midlands, in the west and northwest areas.

"Intense thunderstorms" are predicted in these areas, which they are warning will cause roads to be "slippy" and have "poor visibility."

Heavy showers will continue throughout the day, with some turning thundery. They're predicting the showers will become heavy across the midlands, west and northwest.

On Tuesday, the rain will continue, however temperatures are expected to rise above 20 degrees.

We hate to break it to you, but acne is just one of those things that we wish we could leave behind with puberty. Unfortunately, that is sometimes just not the case.

While some of your blemishes can be the result of one too many trips to the take away or that time of the month, some people can face irritated skin or nasty breakouts as a result of one simple habit.

The water in your shower could be causing your skin to break out.

Life Script pointed out that changes in your environment can cause your skin to react badly.  This can be a result of our skin adjusting to different pH levels in the water.

However, Dr. Robynne Chutkan recently appeared on Today to inform us that hard water or soft water are the least of our worries. We might actually just be too clean, and that is what leads to break outs.

She says that a certain amount of grime is needed to keep our bodies full of friendly germs that we need to protect ourselves from those that can do us harm.

She explained that we may not actually need to be scouring ourselves in the shower daily with soap. In fact, by doing so, we could be removing bacteria that helps prevent certain skin issues, especially eczema.

She advises to forget about soaps, but if we insist to go for mild, organic products.

We can also ditch the hand sanitizers, unless you’re working in a contagious area of a hospital. While during flu season extra precaution is wise, apparently using too many antibacterial soaps is doing harm to our skin.

So, basically, repeatedly killing off good bacteria on our skin may break down our natural immunity and this can lead to breakouts and skin irritation.

We know that setting your alarm that extra 10 or 15 minutes early can be kind pretty painful. Nobody wants to get up any earlier than is absolutely necessary, do they?

However, as it happens, you might be seriously missing out if you’re inclined to keep pressing that snooze button until the last possible second.

Herbal Essences conducted a survey on women across the U.S and found that those who woke up earlier in the morning to hop in the shower said it changed their day in a positive way.

Also, and here’s what really made us think twice about this early bird business: people who wake up earlier and shower are more confident.

Apparently something as simple as a morning shower can help you feel more attractive and relaxed. So, now we know what Gigi Hadid and the likes are up to at the crack of dawn.

Researchers in Scandinavia have also discovered that cold showers in the morning can help you shed a few extra pounds if that’s what you’re after too. Elite Daily reports that it was discovered “that bodies exposed to cold temperatures increase the metabolic rate of brown fat fifteen-fold, which can help you lose 9 lbs a year if sustained.”

Cold showers are also better for you than that morning coffee too. The freezing cold ones, you know the ones that make you wonder if your skin is still attached, are a psychostimulant. Which means they have the same effect as caffeine.

There is also research that shows how it is possible to actually feel happier simply from having morning showers without all that steam.

The Commonwealth University School of Medicine found that short cold showers can stimulate the brain’s blue spot which is the primary source of noradrenaline — this can help chemically mitigate depression.

So, we might be giving the snooze button a skip in the future.
