Simon Cowell is said to be going all out to lure super star Rihanna into joining The X Factor as his fourth ‘ shock’ judge.

RiRi arranged a secret meeting with Simon this week after flying into London yesterday, and the music supremo is said to be desperate to sign her up for the show.

Simon has a mere two months to fill that last judging chair and believes the Rude Boy singer would bring a certain edge to the show

Maybe Rihanna’s good pal Cheryl Cole can convince her to join the panel as Simon has promised her a big say in the decision.

All this teaser talk about who the last judge will be is pure torture, and names such as Joss Stone, Ellie Goulding,  Mel B and Black Eyed Peas star Fergie have also been circulating.

Just put us out of our misery Simon.

It seems that Cheryl is calling all the shots when it comes to the new X Factor series, as Simon wants to ensure that 30-year-old singer is happy with everything that is going on the reality music show.

Cowell is said to be keeping his promise to Cole and is making sure she is having say on everything. This includes who will be joining her and Simon on the judging panel to who she gets to mentor and reports have revealed that she wants the groups.

Simon has already said whoever will be joining the panel would be decided between Cheryl and him: “When Cheryl came back, we decided we’d agree together. I’m not going to put someone beside her who she hates.”

Rumours have been circulating that Fergie or Ellie Goulding could be joining the X Factor judging panel but nothing has been confirmed yet.

But whoever is joining the panel, Cheryl is determined to win and is even enlisting the help of her old band mates Kimberley Walsh and Sarah Harding to help select the next X Factor winner.

New dad Simon Cowell has splashed out a whopping £2,000 on an Aston Martin pram for new baby boy Eric.

It seems that the X-Factor boss wants his son to enjoy the same luxuries he does, forking out for the top-of-the-range buggy that’s based on the Aston Martin’s flashy £1.2 million One-77 model.

There is currently only 800 models of the pram or “the world’s most outstanding contemporary baby travel system”, available for purchase.

Simon and his partner Lauren Silverman bought the pricey pram on a recent shopping trip to Harrods.

The pram features a hand stitched Italian leather interior, and is modelling off the £1.2 million Aston Martin One-77 coupe.

Simon recently insisted he was “born” for fatherhood, although he admitted he had his doubts before the birth of his son.

He said, “I was born to be a dad … I actually said to Lauren beforehand, ‘What if I like the dogs more than him?’ – and she said, ‘You’re gonna be absolutely fine,’ and then literally within seconds of him being born, I got it!”

She back, she’s back!

Cheryl Cole has decided to return to this year’s X Factor.

Cheryl made the announcement via her Instagram account where she posted this hilariuos photo of herself and Simon with the caption “GUESS WHAT!!!…I’m baaaacccckkkkk!!!! #iMayActuallyRingHisNeck”.

It’s been four years since the Girls Aloud star has been on the panel and she will be the second highest paid judge behind Simon himself.

Well, at least we have a reason to tune in this year! Welcome back Cheryl!

Kian Egan has received praise of his interview skills from the harshest critic of all, Simon Cowell.

Simon was reported to have told Kian: “Kiddo, I can see the TV career on the horizon. That was a great interview you were very good.”

Kian has been continually winning over the public after being crowned King of the Jungle on the last series of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! He is also a judge on The Voice of Ireland alongside Bressie, Dolores O’Riordan and Jamelia.

According to reports, Simon Cowell’s first words to his newly-born son were: “I’ve waited all my life for you.”

And we were hoping it was going to be “you definitely have the X Factor”.

Apparently the music mogul cried as he held his baby boy in his arms – so sweet! A pox on anyone who said Simon didn’t have a heart.

Baby Eric will have Philip has a middle name and it’s nice to see they didn’t go with ‘Simon’ after all.

Simon Cowell is making his way to New York on his private jet as his girlfriend, Lauren Silverman, has started to show early signs of labour.

According to reports, the X Factor boss will be missing Britain’s Got Talent auditions today as Lauren has gone into labour.

However, while he will be at the birth, the music mogul has said that he will be far away. He said: “I would like to be at the birth… but a little bit far away.”

Unfortunately for Lauren, Cowell  has admitted that he won’t be changing any nappies saying that he has never “changed a nappy before and [he] won’t” when his son is born.

The 54-year-old has also revealed that he would consider calling his son Simon, so there might be another Simon Cowell in the world very soon.

It has been confirmed that Nicole Scherzinger won’t be returning to the X Factor UK this year.

The singer is said to wish to concentrate on her music career after putting it on hold for The X Factor last year.

Nicole has also recently reconciled with her ex fiancée, Lewis Hamilton, who resides in the US – could this have something to do with her decision? The couple have been on-again-off-again for almost six years so perhaps they have decided to give it their all this time around.

One thing is for sure: X Factor is doomed if Cheryl Cole doesn’t return!

It has been confirmed that not only will Simon Cowell return to his rightful place on the X Factor UK judging panel – but that the X Factor US has been cancelled altogether.

Fox announced it was axing the show because “there is no X Factor US without Simon Cowell but we understand and support his decision to focus on the international formats and on the next phase of his personal life”.

In relation to his personal life there is no doubt that Fox are talking about the impending birth of Simon’s first child with Lauren Silverman, due at the end of this month.

Simon seemed delighted with his decision to move to the UK version of the show saying: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be returning to the X Factor UK. It’s been three years since I last judged the competition so I’m excited to find a global superstar again.”

The biggest question of all remains to be seen – will Cheryl Cole get her seat on the judging panel? We hope so!

It’s no secret that the X Factor’s ratings have declined significantly in recent years.

The show’s bosses are pulling out all the stops to return the star-making programme to its former glory, bringing our favourite sassy mum, Sharon Osbourne back into the fold.

Considering the popularity of that move, it’s no surprise that they’ve delved back into the pool of judges from the show’s golden years.

But who’s making a dramatic return?

We still have our fingers crossed that Cheryl will be on our screens once again, but reports now reveal that Simon Cowell is currently finalising a deal with the show’s chiefs.

The dad-to-be will rejoin the judging panel in August after a three-year hiatus.

It’s not yet known if he’ll continue on the X Factor’s US edition, but either way, we’ll be happy to have Simon back where he belongs.

We might even get another One Direction out of the deal!
