We cannot believe it is this time of the year already.

The Christmas tree is up, the shopping lists have been made and the X Factor final is hitting our television screens tonight!

The show is due to be filmed in Wembley stadium in London as Che Chesterman, Louisa Johnson and Reggie' N' Bollie attempt to battle it out to be crowned the 2015 winner.

But WHAT are the finalists singing? And WHO is performing on the big night?

And of course, we have seen the likes of Beyonce and Kylie perform with finalists in the past but who will be joining this years contestants for a sing song?

Well, it's no surprise that Louisa will be linking up with her mentor Rita Ora to perform a yet to be confirmed track.

Louisa will also be singing Fighter by Christina Aguilera and I Believe I can Fly by R. Kelly.

Che will be joined on stage by none other than Rod Stewart and the young soulful singer will also be singing Valerie by Mark Ronson featuring Amy Winehouse.

And in perhaps the most exciting of the celebrity duets, Reggie and Bollie will be joined onstage by our favourite 90s soul singer Craig David.

The hyperactive duo will also be singing a mash up of Spice Up Your Life by the Spice Girls.

We can't wait to see these numbers on stage!

Tune in to watch the final on ITV at 8pm tonight.

Even though Olly is not sure whether he will come back to host the X Factor in 2016, it seems that Simon Cowell doesn't really want him back.

Rumour has it that Simon actually has his eye on another presenting duo and we think they would be great!

So who is the lucky pair? Only Big Brother's Emma Willis and Rylan Clark-Neal.

Emma currently hosts the main Channel 5 show while Rylan took the reigns of the Bit on the Side spin off show this year.

While both hosts did a stellar job, they never got to enjoy much on screen time together and we think they would be a winning fit for the ITV talent show.

The role would be a fitting career move for Rylan who made his big break on the X Factor in 2012.

WHO could forget the crying.

Following a number of pretty embarrassing blunders, it seems that Olly and Caroline will more than likely not be taking the helm of Simon's show next year but nothing has been confirmed.

We love this hosting idea but could Simon cough up enough to steal Rylan and Emma from the Big Brother series? And how will Emma be able to cope considering she has just announced she is pregnant with her third child?

The jury is still out on this one.

Any burglary can be scary, but when you're metres away from raiders stealing from your home, it can be even more terrifying.

That's what happened to Simon Cowell and his family in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Simon was burgled at his £10m (€13m) London home in the middle of the night as he, his girlfriend Lauren Silverman and son Eric slept inside. The raiders escaped with jewellery and cash worth a mighty six-figure sum, the Daily Mail reports.

They sneaked into the Holland Park property at 2.20am yesterday and after searching the downstairs of the house, spotted a key to a safe.

The safe was completely emptied of cash and jewellery before the raiders fled as the police were called.

Simon only became aware of the situation when his personal bodyguard woke him up after the burglars ran.

Even after the stressful ordeal, Simon still made it to rehearsals for tonights X Factor and put on a brave face in front of the cameras as he waved a peace sign on his way out of the studio.

Simon Cowell has been quite candid about his love for smoking, but for this year's X Factor, it's costing the judge quite a bit.

Due to strict rules in the studio, anyone who is smoking inside has to pay a fine of £100 (€141), which means for every single smoke he takes, he has to pay that amount, costing him thousands during the series.

With the judge's tight time schedule during filming, and his love of tobacco, the 56-year-old has been forced to light-up despite it being classed as a place of work.

The severe pace of the show is said to be why the record label executive couldn't wait till after the cameras stopped rolling.

The insider explained to The Mirror: 'Simon makes no secret of the fact that he enjoys a cigarette to help him relax and obviously being on the judging panel while also running the show is very stressful."

OK, so the ratings haven't been as impressive for Cowell & Co recently. AND sure we know it's probably all fixed from the outset, but we still love the X Factor.

Apart from having an excuse to stuff our faces and sit on the couch every Saturday night, we also love all the behind the scenes gossip (in fact, that's arguably a lot more entertaining than what's going on on stage).

And following the swift exit of Kiera Weathers and Seann Miley Moore over recent weekends, it has now been reported that Lauren Murray had also left the contestants' house.

Though she is still a part of the competition itself, Lauren has packed her bags and departed from the swanky pad.

The 26 year old told The Mirror that she found living in the house too "intense" (although we're wondering how living in a luxury London mansion can be too intense).

"I found the filming the hardest to deal with," said Rita Ora's girl. "The camera is there when you wake up, it's there when you go to sleep. I felt like I could never relax. It's intense."

Lauren went on to describe living in the house as "Big Brother meets Glee meets prison". Well, nope, that does not sound fun.

The singer went on to discuss how she found the six-chair challenge particularly demanding.

"I was drained. I definitely think they should get rid of six-chair challenge. I found it horrific. But they won't – it's too good TV. Imagine if I had fainted. Someone would have got a bonus!"

Yikes!

We applaud Lauren for her candid honesty but we're not sure how much longer she will last if she keeps criticising the nature of the show? Watch out girl!

We know that Olly Murs is not a television presenter by trade, but we can't help but squirm after watching last night's X Factor fiasco.

First of all, the singer and Simon Cowell favourite (he was the hit show's runners-up in 2009) kinda forgot about arguably the most popular member of the biggest boyband on the planet.

Yes, One Direction came back to the place where it all began and performed their new single, Perfect, on the X Factor stage.

Following a flawless performance, Olly chatted to the band members about their tour and being back in front of the judging panel. Olly goes down the line chatting to Niall first before questioning Liam and Louis.

He then just ignores Harry. Yikes!

We don't know if it was intentional but it sure as hell was awkward to watch… and understandably the One Directioners present on the evening were less than impressed in the aftermath.

Indeed, with the audience booing and desperately urging Mr Murs to turn his attention to Mr Styles, the former had no choice but to awkwardly throw in a "hope it's not too bad down there" in the latter's direction.

However, the slip-up could be considered small in comparison to the major blunder he had later on in the show.

Following the sing-off between Simon's Anton Stephans and Rita's gal, Monica Michael, the judges took the vote to deadlock – meaning that the contestant with the lowest public vote would leave the competition.

Before the envelope supposedly containing the name of the contestant going out of the competition arrived on stage, Olly told Monica she was leaving.

Ouch.

Caroline quickly reacted by pointing out that her co-host was mistaken. Apologising, Olly and Caroline go on to reveal that it is in fact (quelle surprise) Monica who is leaving.

You can watch the absolutely cringe inducing moment below.

Olly afterwards took to Twitter to apologise but fans were already crying out that the mishap proves the popular Saturday night show is fixed.

Lucky for man himself, there was one TV presenter quick to defend him.

It may happen to the best TV presenters, but we sure as hell don't remember Dermot ever making a mistake. We miss you, Dermo!

He's in the notoriously tricky Overs category – not to mention that he doesn't get a whole load of love from the X Factor judges either.

But it seems that the wider public is really getting behind Anton Stephens: leaked figures show almost a quarter of voters (23 percent) gave him the nod a week ago – meaning he beat bookies favourite Louisa Johnson (13 percent) by almost two-to-one.

Still, his most recent offering prompted the four-strong judging panel to throw a load of negative comments in his direction.

Indeed, Mr Stephens, who is being mentored by Simon Cowell, has now admitted even he wasn't a fan of the performance.

On the Xtra Factor the singer, who sang a mash of Meghan Trainor’s All About That Bass and Jessie J’s Bang Bang, explained: "I hated it. When I watched it back I just thought, 'Oh My God'.

"All that gold, and very little of me!"

And speaking about the song choices, Anton described singing them as like "wearing shoes that aren’t your size".

Nick Grimshaw had earlier stated that the staging as "like watching a really bad musical". "Those two songs are the worst songs you could have done," he added.

The same figures, obtained by The Daily Star On Sunday and collected on October 31, show that Seann Miley Moore made it into third place – just 1 percent behind Louisa.

However, despite this initial popularity, shockingly he went home last night as part of double-elimination special.

The final twelve X Factor contestants have been put through months of gruelling auditions, trials and competitions, but now it seems the lucky dozen can live in luxury for the rest of their time on the show.

The Mail Online exclusively revealed that this year's X Factor house is in Barnet's Beech Hill, North London and costs a cool £7m (€9m) to buy or £20,000 (€27,000) to rent each month.

It comes complete with a cinema room, an indoor swimming pool and a steam room as well as a state-of-the-art car lift (OK, then?).

The seven-bedroom detached property is in one of London's most prestigious streets and described by estate agents as a 'premier road', where homes are entered via high electric gates.

The gates open up into a large driveway where cars can collect contestants and take them to the show's nearby studio.

The unveiling of the property comes after X Factor judges Simon, Cherly, Rita and Nick chose their final three acts for the live rounds of the show.

Judge Nick Grimshaw selected Mason Noise, Che Chesterman and Seann Miley Moore as his final three Boys, while Rita Ora announced Louisa Johnson, Lauren Murray and Keira Weathers as her Girls.

Cheryl Fernandez Versini has 4th Impact, Alien Uncovered, and Reggie n Bollie as her Groups.

Simon Cowell has Max Stone, Bupsi and Anton Stephans in his Overs category.

First, we heard the news that Liam Payne is planning to write songs for other boybands, and now it has been revealed that Louis Tomlinson is planning to work at Simon Cowell's record label Syco.

The boyband star is set to run his own label imprint, as well as guest star on The X Factor.

That will bring Louis and Simon back together to put some new talent out there, including potentially a “girl band,” as Louis told The X Factor’s Xtra recently.

“I’ve got, like, a little label imprint, so I’m trying to work with that at the moment,” Louis told hosts Melvin and Rochelle.

“I’m lucky enough to be working with Simon. We’ve got a few different projects going on at the moment — one of which is we’re actually trying to put a girl band together."

"Yeah, it’s just really exciting to be involved in the different side of it, the background.”

Simon Cowell has opened up about his fears about becoming a father for the first time, and what advice he has for another famous father to-be.

He spoke with Good Morning Britain and explained that while he had something of a shaky start, he has since embraced fatherhood.

The X Factor judge, and music mogul, is father to Eric who is almost two years old.

Simon admitted that when he was Louis Tomlinson’s age, he doesn’t know how he would have cope with the news he was going to be a dad.

“But he did call me and I said, ‘When you’ve embraced it, you’ll be amazed how much you are going to love it.”

Louis is expecting his first child with stylist Briana Jungwirth in early 2016.

56-year old Simon added that he told Louis that having a child “will change your life for the better.”

He did admit that when he and Lauren Silverman first welcome their son into the world, he didn’t adjust as quickly as he would have liked.

“When he was about 5 or 6 [months old], I was like … I just don’t know what to do! Because he wasn’t reacting to me and I thought, ‘Maybe he hates me.’ ”

He explained that someone told him he needed to have more patience, and eventually it just clicked for him:

“Suddenly one day they are talking, listening, responding … communicating. It’s a whole different ball game.”

He did confess that he is not sure if Eric taking on all of his dad’s personality traits is such a “good thing” but his taste in music makes up for any of those worries.

“One of the first records I got on tape of him playing along to was a One Direction record, so he’s got good taste.”

According to some rumours he's set to make a dramatic return to the X Factor to help the show's falling ratings. Now Louis Walsh has hinted he'll be heading to the jungle instead.

Dropping the biggest hint yet that he will take part in the forthcoming series of I'm A Celebrity, the 63-year-old music manager revealed he does want to appear on the show.

Speaking with the Mirror, Louis hinted that a trip to Australia – where the reality TV series is filmed – in a few weeks might be a possibility: “If I'm not in the jungle this year, I'll do it next year.”

There had been speculation Louis would be making a return to Simon Cowell's flagship show after the 12th season has been suffering from disappointing ratings.

Having left the show last year, after 10 years as a judge, the former Boyzone manager has been heavily linked to I'm A Celebrity. Insiders are supposedly saying that the show's producers are very eager to sign him up.

Mail Online reports an insider saying: 'Louis would be fantastic in the jungle – we’d love to get him involved.

“He doesn’t hold back from saying what he thinks and he’s very, very funny.”

Louis also hinted that he may be making an X Factor comeback. Not too long ago on Loose Women, the veteran judge said:

“Simon said the door was open to me months ago. I talked to him last night. There is a possibility I might end up on the show, but I don't know for definite.

'I'd like to. I'm available. There is a possibility,” he added.

The X Factor winner Sam Bailey won the singing contest back in 2013, and to be honest, she hasn't really done much since then.

But in a recent interview with The Sunday Times, Sam slammed Beyoncé asking, "Who does she think she is?"

The former winner said Queen Bey didn't have the "decency" to say hello when she opened for her in Birmingham as part of her X Factor prize.

"I supported Beyoncé as part of my X Factor prize, but she didn't even bother to meet me. I'd never do that. I'd have the decency to say hello."

"Who does she think she is?!"

"But I got my own back. When she was on stage, I was at the front, and while she was proper going for it my son spent the whole time playing Minecraft on his iPad."

Yep, Sam, we're sure that really hurt Beyoncé's feelings!

She also spoke about this year's X Factor judging line up and revealed she's not keen on Nick Grimshaw or Rita Ora.

Sam also got dropped from Simon Cowell's Syco Record Label earlier this year, something she says has made her happier in general.
