Rita Ora  is seen suffering from a serious bout of anxiety on tonight's X Factor.

The singer, 24, is the first to be faced with the new Six Chair Challenge – in which she must whittle down her Girls from 16 to six – alongside her fellow judges Simon Cowell, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Nick Grimshaw.

But Rita visibly struggles making her choice between two contestants, as the audience reacts aggressively.

"The crowd is crazy out there. I think I'm having a mini panic attack. Oh my God! I feel so sick."

The audience then begin to boo and mock her for not making a choice, to which she tearfully says: "I can't do it. I actually can't do it."

She then goes on to say, "It's getting definitely intense. I'm probably the most hated person in the UK right now. It's so unfair. This is the hardest thing in the world – they hate me right now."

Rita is then seen falling out with main judge Simon, calling him "rude" as they fight about the contestants.

With this amount of drama, tonight's episode will not want to be missed!

According to certain reports, Mayo native Louis Walsh is set to make a big return to X Factor in order to help the show out of the ratings slump is has hit this year.

After being part of the show for ten years, this year he was left out of the judges panel line-up but apparently he would still 'sit in a special place' separate to the judging panel. The highly-anticipated panel this year has seen viewers fall by one million so far.

Mail Online reports that ITV bosses are planning a huge shake-up in order to bring some viewers back to the series, one of these is possibly a change in the judging panel. The Sun also reported that Simon Cowell doesn't feel the same about the show without Louis being a part of it.

"Louis could annoy a lot of people, but he was brilliant at creating the drama required to make a show like X Factor worked," a source told the paper. While X Factor boss Richard Halloway was has been quoted as saying:

"[X Factor] will have a finite life span. But I think you then rest it, then you bring it back.

Viewing habits have changed enormously, especially in the last couple of years… we all got to appreciate that and kind of consider it more," he added.

Meanwhile Louis, 63, has declined to comment on the reports but is said to address the speculation before the weekend. He has already said this year that he feels the show is lacking something. Namely himself and Dermot O'Leary, of course:

"Simon's got a new face himself, he wanted younger faces so he hired them. I think Dermot’s missed big time. I really do. I think the older people like me and Dermot."

This year X Factor has gone through more changes than we can keep up with; between judges swaps and contestants walking out there has been a lot of news surrounding the singing competition.

However, the latest report from the series is probably one of the biggest changes to date for contestants and audiences. We’re not entirely thrilled with the news either, but with the way things are going it could all change tomorrow.

Despite talks attempting to set up the judge’s houses segments as this year’s big twist, it seems that instead the judge’s houses portion won’t be broadcast at all.

According to certain reports, Simon Cowell and his team decided that attempting to show the judge’s houses live would have been too difficult logistically.

The big twist will come in the form of the contestants being told their fate weeks after they spent some time lounging in swanky south of France mansions.

The results of their judges’ houses performances will be revealed live at Wembley in October.

Talking about the changes a source has apparently told the Sun that this is an embarrassing moment for the series.

“The team have had to admit they just won’t be able to pull it off. Realistically there were too many things that could have gone wrong and if it all went to pot on live TV it would have been disastrous.”

While it is a shame we won’t be getting to see any real live performances any time soon there is at least going to be one tension-building moment for audiences to look forward to.

Chat show host and general funny man Graham Norton has voiced his displeasure with one famous singing competition.

The 52-year old blasted the X Factor saying the series has “lost its credibility”. The BBC star admitted that he has not lost faith in all reality competitions as he still tunes into Strictly Come Dancing.

Strictly is the X Factor’s biggest rival, and has come under fire in recent months after making changes to the judges’ panel as well as the hosts.

Graham revealed he hasn’t been tuning in “for the past few years because it just seems so long now- it’s endless.”

The TV star also commented on the talent which the show brings in, or lack thereof:

“The people aren’t very good, so to all the judges’ comments of, I’d buy your album tomorrow’ you think, ‘You’re never having an album. You wouldn’t throw 50p at them if they were busking in the Tube’.”

Compared to previous years where the X Factor managed to pull in around 9 million viewers, this year the show is facing a decrease in two million. This year the series' opening episode was the lowest-rated since 2006.

Simon Cowell may have to retract his comment from earlier this year when he boasted the show would beat Strictly with this year's ratings:

"This show does feel better, the talent’s great, they’re interesting, so if it’s us versus Peter Andre, I’m going to put my money on us."

The Mirror claims a source for the show has hit back at Graham's comments:

“I’m surprised to hear these comments given that The X Factor is the only TV show which has produced credible artists, including One Direction , Little Mix, Olly Murs and Ella Henderson, as well as the anticipated releases from Ben Haenow and Fleur East from last year’s series."

They also added that once 'catch-up' viewers are taken into account that almost 10 million people have viewed some episodes so fat this year.

Speaking with Radio Times in an interview Graham also admitted that there is one other TV series that he will be tuning in to watch. When asked about his viewing habits regarding his own chat show he responded

“If I’m in I’ll watch it when it’s on, and I’ll definitely watch it along the line. If I haven’t bothered to watch it, why would anybody else?”

After competition hopeful Josh Daniel’s performance on the X Factor moved judges to tears, Simon Cowell has admitted that he found the show particularly difficult to watch.

Simon revealed that after the death of his mother, Julie, who had passed away only days before the audition took place, the performance Josh gave was a painful reminder of the famous judge’s mom.

He was left in tears after Josh took to the stage to perform the song Jealous.

The 55-year old music mogul explained that he found it extremely difficult to watch himself become so emotional on screen when the episode aired.

'When I watched it on the show, it was very difficult to watch back, but that's just what happens when you make one of these shows. Of course, it brought it all back,” he said.

According to The Sun, Simon has insisted he didn’t want to audition to be cut from the show and felt that ultimately it was the producers’ decision whether or not to leave it in the episode.

'They were very cautious about showing the footage to me in the first place for obvious reasons.

But then you've got to take your personal hat off and put on your producer's hat, because what happened and it's not fair on the contestant not to show it.”

He explained that the moment was very “raw” and it did take him back to a painful moment in his life. Ultimately though he said:

“You can’t censor stuff like that… It’s not fair on the contestant not to show it.”

Josh, 21, chose to sing the Labrinth song in memory of his friend from school Thomas who passed away in 2013.

She remarried last year – to dashing French businessman Jean Bernard Fernandez Versini – and has recently begun filming the 12th series of The X Factor.

But despite her sucess, it seems that Cheryl Fernandez Versini is not immune to criticism.

Indeed, in recent months her continued weight-loss and tiny frame has sparked concern among fans and observers.

Still, the 32-year-old has angrily insisted on several occasions that she is fit, healthy and strong – and that she does eat.

Now she’s come out fighting again – going as far as to call for body-shaming to be made “illegal”.

“It’s bulls***,” she told ES magazine. “Something has to be done, changed, even if it’s done in law.

“I am very happy and very healthy. Every woman has a different body type.”

She went on to tell the publication that she has even cut back on gym sessions.

Meanwhile, her boss Simon Cowell felt compelled to defend her recently – claiming publicly that far from starving herself, she actually “eats like a horse”.

This summer, the singer attributed her noticeable weight-loss to being busy, as well as the stress of losing her father-in-law.

Taking to Twitter a couple of months ago – and evidently feeling particularly irked at the time – the Girls Aloud songstress declared: "I am so sick and tired of it being ok to call somebody too thin or a ‘bag of bones’.

“I would never dream of calling somebody too fat and that they should maybe cut down on their food intake? What is the difference?

“You have no idea what I have been through. Just losing my father in law v recently and everything that comes with that. Not that I am or should justify myself to anyone.”

She continued: "I’m so f***ing sick of people thinking it’s ok to be mean or body shame anyone.”

It’s all about to get seriously emotional on Sunday night’s X Factor – which begins at 8pm.

Yes, in the second instalment of the reality TV show’s inaugural weekend for 2015, Cheryl Fernandez Versini AND Simon Cowell both end up in tears… at the same time.

Josh Daniels’s version of Jealous by Labrinth evidently proved incredibly moving – especially as the contestant dedicated his performance to his best friend who died at the age of 18.

At the time of the audition, Mr Cowell was still freshly grieving for his own mother: Julie died aged 89 in London in early July.

Daniel can be seen tonight telling the judges: “I lost my best friend a couple of years ago.

“We were really, really close, we did everything together. He’s moved on to a better place and I can’t be with him.

“I’m jealous that he’s happy in heaven.”

Then, as his performance progresses, Simon can be seen wiping a tear from his eye. The rest of the judges (Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw as well as Cheryl) eventually give the X Factor hopeful a standing ovation, although Simon remains far too emotional to speak.

Meanwhile, and despite a publicity push, several overhauls, and a rake of new faces in front of cameras, Saturday night’s opening episode last night failed to impress when compared to other series.

Now in its 12th series, it managed to tempt a total of 7.6million viewers to watch, but even last year that figure stood at close-to 9million.

At the height of X Factor mania in 2011, around 11 to 12million people were hooked weekly.

As we all know The X Factor has undergone a MAJOR transformation this year – full of new judges and new presenters (not to mention no Louis Walsh).

But boss-man Simon Cowell has given the newbies a huge warning, telling them they're going to have to work hard in order to maintain their part on the reality TV show.

Earlier this year, we saw (random, we know) Nick Grimshaw, 31, and Rita Ora, 24, replace judges Louis Walsh and Mel B – with Cheryl, 32, also returning to the show.

But The Daily Star reported during the week that Simon Cowell will ask Louis Walsh back on to the judging panel in a flash if Rita and Nick fail to impress.

We don't blame Simon either: Strictly Come Dancing consistently beat The X Factor in TV ratings last year – and it already seems unlikely the latter will be able to turn that around in 2015.

Still, Simon, 55, wants the show to be as controversial as it can be in order to get the series back on top of its game.

“If they’re not talking about you then you’ve got a problem," he also told The Star. "I think it’s a good thing. I think we’re lucky"

“When you have the opportunity to make a couple of shows like ours then there’s more fun than problems".

We can't wait to see all the drama in store!

We're frankly pretty disappointed that Louis Walsh hasn't been included in this year's X Factor line-up… because for 2015, all the judges have been allocated an emoji – and we would have LOVED to have seen the Mayoman as a cartoon smiley.

Never mind, we nevertheless reckon the rest of them – Nick, Rita, Cheryl and, of course, Simon – look rather fetching.

The emojis are all part of the newly-spruced up show's attempts to win back viewers, and it has now been revealed that at-home audiences will also get to decide which judge takes on which category.

Girls, Boys, Groups, and Unders; the judges never want the latter two and Simon usually takes the most promising bunch for himself anyway.

Not this time around, however: with the first airing of the 12th series going out on Saturday, people will be able to vote to determine who gets what using Twitter hashtags.

Now this is a twist we really like – but will you be watching this year?

Each week we speak to an inspiring go-getter as part of our Rising Stars series.

Here, singer Roberta Howett joins us to candidly talk about the very first X Factor, about the undeniable glamour of the industry – and going it alone…

Most people will have attended the likes of Oxegen and Glastonbury at some point in their lives… but not everyone can say they took to the stage and played to the tens of thousands in attendance there.

But then, Dublin-born singer Roberta Howett isn’t like most people.

Throughout the course of her music career, the 33 year-old London-based beauty has become more than familiar with playing to sold out arenas. Her stage presence is as natural as her powerful voice… something recognised by none-other than Simon Cowell when she took to the very first X Factor stage 11 years ago.

She made it through to the live finals, her subsequent departure leaving even her mentor Sharon Osbourne in floods of tears.

At least, and unlike many who took to The X Factor stage after her, Roberta has since gone on to develop a highly successful career in the industry.

A gifted songwriter with a powerful voice, her latest single, Broken Wings, certainly impresses.

The lyrics, which rally against those who judge people for choosing to be single, have already become the war cry of a load of singletons.

And while the music industry is cutthroat at the best of times, but Roberta admits that it is also fun, and at times quite glamorous.

“You get to dress up and sing to lots of people which feels incredible!” she smiles. “But another great part to it is that feeling when you write a good song, and you get to collaborate and create something from scratch.”

With her wealth of experience, Roberta is well-placed to offer advice on whether or not it’s a good idea for a budding singer to kick-start their music career on a TV talent show, a topic that has caused divide among music-lovers since the birth of such shows.

“I say go for it!” she enthuses. “It’s another opportunity and it could lead you somewhere really interesting. You can certainly meet great people that are in the industry already.

"It is a television show though rather than a music show, so keep that in mind.”

The one thing that has stood to Roberta throughout her career is her penchant for hard work.

When she produced and released music independent of any label, she took care of all the logistics – from music licencing, to management and legal matters.

So does she enjoy the hard work that comes with musical independence, or would she prefer the security of a label, the downside of which can sometimes include having very little musical control? Well… she’s torn between the two.

“It’s not as tricky as it seems to release,” she begins. “But there is some multi-tasking involved. I think having a label could be a great thing, especially to share the load a bit, but on the other hand, it’s also nice to be able to work to your own agenda and choose the direction.”

Given her success to date, SHEmazing! wouldn’t be surprised if in years to come, Roberta found herself back in TV talent show land, not as a competitor however, but as a mentor.

It has recently been all work, work, work and no play for the newest X Factor star but Rita Ora was spotted over the weekend partying on the sunny isle of Ibiza.

Not that this is your average package deal away: the 24 year old was seen frolicking on a private yacht named Gold Digger. Fancy!

For the occasion, The Hot Right Now singer wore a sexy and revealing two-piece bikini with tiny black and white straps. The monochrome number, which isn’t for the faint hearted, is by Sian Swimwear and cost nearly €100.

Rita definitely oozes body confidence with this number as it leaves little to the imagination but showed off her slim figure perfectly.

The busy star partied the day away, staying hydrated with ice cold drinks. She also busted some moves on the deck.

Rita has had a hectic schedule over the last few weeks as she moved from The Voice UK over to The X Factor along with new judge Nick Grimshaw and returning judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.

The judges have just spent the last few weeks filming the audition stages of the 12th series of the show which will hit ITV and TV3 this autumn.

And to add to her already manic schedule, Ms Ora is releasing her anticipated second studio album later this year, after unveiling her latest single Poison in June.

Over the weekend she also teased her new single Body On Me in which she collaborated with Chris Brown.

She also recently split from boyfriend Ricky Hilfiger after an on-off one year relationship.

They ended things mutually as the singer and Tommy Hilfiger’s son are said to be both concentrating on their careers.

It seems that 22-year old former One Direction star Zayn Malik has officially left his boy band life behind him.

Zayn was looking very pleased in a photograph which shows him signing his new deal with RCA records and according to him, he’s going to be much happier doing his own thing.

He wrote to his 15 million followers on Twitter in order to officially confirm the news. In March when he left the famous boy band it was revealed that he had also been dropped from Simon Cowell’s record label Syco which he had been signed to as a 1D member.

Simon himself took to social media to congratulate Zayn on his new deal saying:

“I believe they are the perfect label for @ZaynMalik’s solo career and I am sure whatever they release together will be special.”

is this zayn's moment he's taking off his hannah montana wig and now he's miley cyrus

Speaking with The Sun, a source has said that it was “a big move” for Simon to let Zayn go “because Zayn could have a very successful solo career but his priority absolutely remains the band.” According to the source this is a deal which “suits” Simon as Zayn is still within the Sony music family.

However, it doesn’t seem like we should be expecting any collaborations between Zayn and his former bandmates any time soon. After walking away from the band insisting he wished to be a “normal 22-year old”, fans were confused when he then started working on solo material.

His recent tweets about “real music” have also had some fans questioning his loyalty to his former band mates. The Mail Online reached out to Zayn for a response but he has yet to respond.
