Oh you just have to love Simon Cowell!

The X Factor judge has spoken in an interview about the recent feud between Louis Walsh and Cheryl Fernandez Versini.

Speaking honestly about the situation he admits that the pair were never the best of friends.

"There was always going to be a clash," he said.

He admitted: "They’ve never liked each other those two…[When Cheryl was in Girls Aloud ] he was their manager.

"Now Louis managing a girl band, disaster, he just doesn’t do it well"

Hmmm, Simon doesn't seem too bothered then.

Louis and Cheryl were at war recently as Louis called the stunning singer "lazy" and "irrelevant".

Cheryl was quick to defend herself as she shared with Twitter the fact that she thinks Louis is obsessed with her.

Who isn't obsessed with Cheryl though?

Simon Cowell is really planning major changes for the X Factor. After apparently axing Louis Walsh and Mel B, and making Caroline Flack and Olly Murs the new hosts, we have no doubt that the show will be a breath of fresh air this time around.

Another dramatic change has now been revealed, Simon is considering making the judges houses live.

This means the contestants and viewers will be informed of decisions at the same time.

Well now we're very glad we didn't audition for the next season…

A source has told The Sun: "This is a hugely ambitious plan and in many ways we are giving ourselves a massive headache, but if it comes off, it will be gripping TV. The emotion of the judges' houses stage is always one of the best things about the series, so if we can capture that live, it's going to be amazing."

We bet this will be much more thrilling, but nerve wracking if you're a contestant.

We don't yet know how it will work, being all over the world and in different time zones because the judges bring their acts to many different places.

However, we're sure Simon will work something out.

Uh-oh: after months of rumour, it's being reported that Louis Walsh has officially been axed from The X Factor.

The pop-music manager has been a judge on the show for an incredible 11 years – but it seems that Simon Cowell has now wielded the axe, telling Louis in person that there's no room for him in this year's line-up.

A source told today's Sun On Sunday: "They are close friends so Simon wanted to do this the right way."

With falling viewing figures and critics calling the show past its prime, Mr Cowell is under pressure to seriously shake up the format for 2015.

A second source added in The Sun that audiences had become "sick of Louis's constant use of tired cliches and the same old jokes".

Mel B's contract will also not be renewed, but Cheryl Fernandez Versini has already signed a multi-million euro deal to return.

Still, it is unlikely that Louis, 62, was shocked by the recent revelation. Last month he told Lucy Kennedy and Martin King on TV3's The Seven O'Clock show: "I’m done with X Factor, honestly.

"I've done 11 seasons and that's a long time in television – I don't think I'll be going back."

Louis is currently managing Hometown. The six-piece boyband has enjoyed two No.1 hits in the Irish charts.

It looks like the X Factor will definitely be facing some major changes this year in a bid to raise the ratings.

Spice Girl Mel B will not be returning for this year's show as Simon Cowell has decided not to renew her contract. A source told The Sun: "Bosses are evolving The X Factor and it has been decided Mel won't return."

However, Mel B fans don't need to worry just yet because while discussing a replacement for Mel on the judging panel, the source claims: "If they fail to find a suitable candidate there is a small chance she could be back."

“Some fans will be disappointed though as some viewers felt she was the best thing about the show last year,” the source said.

Mel was known for her straight up attitude and opinions, but missed the final of the last series.

This won't be the only change for the show as Olly Murs and Caroline Flack are replacing Dermot O'Leary as the new presenters and Louis Walsh has claimed: "I'm done with X Factor."

Saying that, it would not surprise us if Louis is back for the next series because he has claimed in the past that he will leave the show but never has.

Cheryl-Fernandez-Versini is more than likely going to be returning to the show, but Simon admits that there is nothing "set in stone" just yet. She has been offered a £2 million contract to return to the judging panel, £500,000 more than her last contract.

We really, really hope this is true…

It looks like Kim Kardashian could be moving from one reality show to another with the news that Simon Cowell is chasing her to be a judge for the next series of The X Factor.

Simon's long-time BFF Sinitta apparently put the idea in his head, and now the X Factor boss is keen to get Kim on board. Speaking to the Daily Star, Sinitta said that the idea of Kim as a judge excites her "quite a lot."

The news comes just weeks after ITV bosses revealed that there were big changes ahead for the show, and veteran judge Louis Walsh announced he'd come to the end of his X Factor journey.

"I've done 11 seasons and that's a long time in television – I don't think I'll be going back," he said on TV3's Seven O'Clock Show last week.

Dermot O'Leary also announced he would be stepping down as presenter after seven years, with Olly Murs hotly tipped to replace him.

X Factor's executive producer Richard Holloway also said that there will be "some surprises" this year in terms of judges, but that Simon's place on the panel is of course "safe."

Although Kim's family has no experience with the UK version of the show, Khloé did present the US version for one season alongside Mario Lopez.

We reckon Kim would do an incredible job as judge – we can see some spats ahead between her and Cheryl, though!

Simon Cowell isn't exactly Mr. Nice Guy but he really made poor Amanda Holden squirm this morning when he pulled off a pretty epic prank.

The X Factor and Britain's Got Talent boss was appearing on Nick Grimshaw's Breakfast Show on BBC Radio 1 when he called up Amanda as part of Nick's Call or Delete segment to tell her some pretty awful news.

After some small talk, Simon asked Amanda if she was alone, telling her to leave the room as he had something to discuss with her. Then he broke the news that he'd be replacing her with Cheryl Fernandez-Versini on Britain's Got Talent for two days every week.

"Our idea is you do Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, obviously the final and then Tuesday and Thursday we replace you with Cheryl," he told her.

We totally admire Amanda for not shouting a series of expletives at Simon, especially when he casually told her Cheryl would work well because "she's younger and because she's a singer…it'll bring in a different audience."

Things reached critical cringe level when Simon defended his decision by saying "All I care about is the show, babe." Ouch!

To finish things off, Simon told Amanda he'd be replacing David Walliams for the BGT final with Jeremy Clarkson, before breaking the news that he was only having a laugh at her expense.

Amanda seemed a good sport on Twitter this morning, though she did take the opportunity to finally lash out at Simon:

You said it, girl!

It’s been two weeks now since Zayn Malik’s departure from One Direction and nobody saw it coming – not even Simon Cowell.

Speaking out about Zayn’s decision to leave the superstar band, Simon said the singer needs some time to get his head together: “He’s a fantastic singer, he’s got to get his head together a little bit and needs time on his own.”

The X Factor judge also added that Zayn’s departure took him by surprise, saying: “I wasn’t expecting it to happen so quickly. You just have to deal with it.”

We’re trying here, Simon. Give us a break.

Meanwhile, the remaining One Direction lads have released their first poster as a foursome:

Something tells us they'll do okay – and Simon think so too: "As long as the boys want it, and I think they do, they will continue to be successul."

Well said, Simon!

There have been many rumours about Cheryl’s future as a judge on The X Factor following her highly anticipated return last season.

Now, it would seem Simon has made a decision and it planning to keep Cheryl on the reality TV show ‘at all costs’.

According to The Sun, Mel B may not be as lucky as Cheryl this year: “They haven’t signed a deal yet but Simon, Cheryl and ITV are all on the same page. But that’s really bad news for Mel. She had a good first year but bosses want a new line-up.”

It had been said week following Dermot O’Leary’s shock departure that The X Factor producers were doing their all to shake things up for next year.

Does that mean that Olly Murs will step in for the much-loved presenter? Not without his BFF Caroline Flack: “The only way I would even think or talk about it would be if Caroline was doing it with me because me and Caroline were great together.”

It sounds as if things are going to be very different indeed this season!

With devastated One Direction fans still in the pits of despair over the news that Zayn Malik has quit the band for good, we can’t imagine that they will be too pleased by the latest news.

According to reports, Simon Cowell has already snapped Zayn up as a solo artist on his Syco record label, and will be mentoring him as he prepares to go it alone.

While this is good news for those die-hard Zayn fans who just want to hear that beautiful voice, no doubt many will be gutted by the move.

Sources claim that Simon secured an agreement with Zayn right after he quit the band, so as to avoid any release clashes with One Direction.

“Simon was very understanding about him leaving the band but quickly made it clear he would stay a Syco artist for his future projects. He’ll now be able to make sure any releases are timed so they don’t clash with anything by One Direction,” an insider told The Sun.

The news that Zayn is going solo has no doubt come as a shock to disappointed fans, particularly after saying that the reason he quit One Direction was so that he could ‘be a normal 22-year-old’.

It will be interesting to see how his new career pans out.

X Factor producers have revealed there is a big shake-up on the way for the next series of the show, in a bid to boost ratings.

The official judging panel line-up will not be announced until May but at the moment only Simon Cowell has been confirmed as safe.

"There will be some exciting changes. The name of the show will stay the same but we are looking at format and the judges. There will be some surprises this year. But I can’t go into detail," said X Factor executive producer Richard Holloway in an interview with The Mirror.

Speaking about the new plans, Richard said it was definitely time for a change. "We have been making the show for 10 years and to make it popular you have to refresh the show." However he admitted Simon would not be turned away from the panel, adding, "It is safe to say Simon is staying."

Given that Simon's production company Syco was the brains behind the show, we reckon he wouldn't be too happy to be kicked out!

Richard says that X Factor bosses would "love to beat" Strictly Come Dancing once again when it comes to viewer numbers. "There is an ongoing battle with Strictly," he revealed. "On overall volume they beat us last year. It has been a few years since we beat them on overall volume. It is quite interesting the split of the audience. It is very defined."

So with Simon confirmed, what about Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Mel B and Louis Walsh?

Mel B's last few weeks as a judge on the 2014 series of the show were full of drama as she had to miss the live semi-final for a mystery trip to hospital, amid reports she had left her husband Stephen Belafonte.

"It could be the case that Mel, Cheryl and Louis all don’t return but it’s still early days in discussions to say for certain and too soon to speculate," said Richard.

Hmmm… guess we'll have to wait until May for the big reveal.

We’ve all been terrified (and strangely hopeful) that it would be announced that Katie Hopkins would join the judging panel of Britian’s Got Talent.

The rumours began last month when the Celebrity Big Brother star made the claim herself, saying she believed she would fit right onto the panel: There is a role for a Miss Nasty on any panel. We don’t have any good Miss Nasties at the moment because everyone wants to be sweet like Cheryl Cole. They want to be loved. It would be good to have someone different. There’s absolutely more TV coming up for me.”

Now, the truth is finally out and it seems like that won’t be happening if Simon has anything to do with it, which we all know he does…

The music mogul spoke out against the rumours today, with less-than-glowing things say about Katie: “I would rather take a bath, fill it with vinegar, cut myself a thousand times, immerse myself slowly for an hour, than work with her. So the answer is no.”

Yikes…no Katie it is then!

Unless of course, Simon is just trying to throw us off the scent. Hmm…

Be afraid. Be very, very afraid…

Britain’s Got Talent will never be the same again if this news is anything to go by.

It has been rumoured that Katie Hopkins may be joining the judging panel of the talent show, replacing Simon Cowell when he decides to leave – yikes!

Simon spoke recently about retiring, saying that he ‘can’t go on forever’: “I’ll do a couple more years, sure. I enjoy the shows. But I will retire.”

Now, it would appear that Katie, who is notorious for her cruel and mean remarks about pretty much everybody, could be tipped to replace the straight-talking music mogul. Speaking about her role, she said: “There is a role for a Miss Nasty on any panel. We don’t have any good Miss Nasties at the moment because everyone wants to be sweet like Cheryl Cole. They want to be loved. It would be good to have someone different. There’s absolutely more TV coming up for me.”

As she has appeared on I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here and Celebrity Big Brother last year and this year alone, perhaps the idea of Katie taking Simon's seat isn't as far-fetched as it seems. Making it a far more terrifying prospect that once though…
