It's official! Bob Geldof has married his long term girlfriend Jeanne Marine!

The pair wed at a star-studded romantic ceremony in the South of France yesterday afternoon.

It was reported that Bob, 63, and French actress Jeanne, 49, had already married in the resort of Rayol-Canadel-sur-Mer, but it was confirmed that they were simply signing paperwork ahead of their big day. 

A source told the Sunday Mirror: "In France a formal wedding has usually two parts, and this weekend was the main event."

The wedding followed a heartbreaking 18 months for Bob after the untimely death of his daughter Peaches.

His other daughters, Fifi, 32, and Pixie, 25, were guests as the couple exchanged their vows at a beach house near Nice. 

Also in attendance was the Duchess of York who arrived with her boyfriend Manuel Fernandez, 47. 

Hollywood actress Demi Moore led guests to the ceremony across a public beach.

Other attendees included Richard Branson and his wife Joan, model Jerry Hall, Richard Curtis and Richard E. Grant. 

One source said: "It's quite an intimate affair. Bob doesn't really go in for all of that celebrity excess."

"He just likes to be around his closest friends and family."
