A recent study carried out by journal, Cyberpsychology, Behavior and Social Networking, found that couples who use Twitter a lot tend to fight more.

The study was carried out by asking people in a relationship how much time they spend on Twitter and if they have ever emotionally cheated using the social media medium.

It was found that long-term and short-term couples are equally affected by their use of Twitter unlike Facebook which doesn’t impact long-term relationships as much.

The research was carried out on 581 Twitter users in a relationship who were asked how often they use Twitter as well as questions regarding their relationship.

Hmm, looks like you may want to stick with Facebook if you are in your relationship for the long haul!

It can be hard not to get a pang of jealousy when that impossibly pretty girl you went to school with puts up a gorgeous photo of her new Christian Louboutins or her amazing designer wardrobe.

Rather than get down about it and allow yourself to be jealous (which is bad for your body and mind ladies) here are some ways you can stop it in it’s tracks.

1. Life on social media is all filters and chosen carefully. Realise that nobody would bother post a picture of their smelly 5 year-old runners, the new pink Nike ones work better, obviously. People choose what they put up on their social media feeds, and obviously, like yourself, they choose the best.

2. Don’t be a bitch. Always be gracious and never resort to bitchy comments on another girl’s social media feed. So not cool.

3. Realise that life’s successes aren’t measured through social media. Yes, that Marc Jacobs handbag is uh-mazing but what about the things you have that this person may not?

4. Be happy for them. Turn your negativity into positivity. If she can get a banging body she loves enough to put on the internet then good for her!

5. Don’t try to live up to their lives. Be you. Have what you have and be grateful.

There is a new wedding trend on the rise and we are torn on it.

You could now, for a hefty sum, hire a social media coordinator to make sure your wedding is on the net. As it happens.

Yes, that’s right, somebody who would take pretty Instagram photos, live tweet the whole day, make Pinterest boards and Vine videos all for your big day.

The trend was advertised by W Hotels in NYC who were giving couples the chance to hire a social media coordinator for the price of $3,000. Eek, that is steep!

While it does sound a little bit extravagant and an added cost that you may not need, it would be nice to know that people are interacting with your big day on the internet as it happens.

Plus, if you look stunning anyway, think of how you’ll look with an Instagram filter….

Will Ferrell used his popularity and comic genius for good yesterday when he ran an “Ask me Anything” session on the social network Reddit.

The actor used the session to raise money for the charity Cancer for College which helps provide college scholarships for cancer survivors.

Some funny questions that came Ferrell’s way from fans and the public included, “What does Mark Whalberg smell like”? and “What was the craziest Hollywood party you’ve ever been to”?

One particularly good one was, “Is there any movie role, outside of comedy, that you wish you could have landed?” to which Ferrell wittingly answered: “Yes. It was down to me or Tobey Maguire for Spider-Man and they harshly told me I was too fat for the suit.”

Will was also asked about Pearl the landlady from the hilarious Funny or Die sketch which we have attached for you here because it never gets old.will_2

Katy Perry is officially the first celebrity to hit 50 million followers on Twitter, beating the likes of Beyoncé, Madonna and Lady Gaga.

Katy used the opportunity to plug her boyfriend John Mayer’s re-emergence to the Twittersphere by urging her fans to follow his page that has been in a “coma state”.

However it doesn’t seem as if John was too happy about rejoining the social media platform, joking that he had “mixed emojis”.
