Late actress to give her last ever performance four years after her death
Brittany Murphy’s last ever movie will finally hit the big screen – more than four years after her death.
Described as a thriller about love gone wrong, Something Wicked stars Brittany as a psychiatrist attempting to uncover sinister forces causing a newly-wed couple’s relationship to fall apart.
Murphy died in 2009 after collapsing at her LA home. The coroner determined the primary cause of death was pneumonia, but said multiple drug intoxication was also a secondary factor.
The movie will first be released in on April 4th in Eugene, Oregon – in honour of where it was filmed – and will be shown at various cinemas in the coming weeks.
Producer Joe Colleran praised Murphy’s acting in a 2011 interview with USA Today, calling a moment in the film “one of the best scenes of her career.”
Something Wicked also stars One Tree Hill’s Shantel VanSanten and Pretty Little Liars Julian Morris.
