Sophie Ellis Bextor stepped out on the red carpet last night looking absolutely stunning, but one accessory in particular had everyone talking – her noticeable baby bump.
The singer made a rare appearance the Lorraine Kelly Fashion Awards wearing a flowing green and white dress that gently skimmed her large bump.
Sophie, 36, is already the proud mum to three children under 11 – Sonny, Ray and Kit – with her long-term partner Richard Jones who is best known as the bassist from The Feeling.
The pair make a concerted effort to keep their children's lives as normal as possible, and to date Sophie has only ever shown the backs of their heads on her personal social media, so it's no surprise she kept news of baby number four under wraps.
Sophie, who made five albums during the height of her pop career, is best known for her hit song Murder On The Dancefloor.
Nowadays she says she has stopped worrying about her next hit or what other people think. "I’ve got to this point and maybe I’ve earned the right to just be whoever I want to be and have some fun," she told The Telegraph last year.
The singer met her partner Richard when she was 25, and six weeks later found out she was pregnant with her first child, Sonny. "Knowing that my mum had had me at 23, I had it in my head that: 'Oh, that’s probably the sort of age I’ll have my first baby.’ It definitely didn’t feel like a mistake or a shock," she said of the surprise first pregnancy.
Congrats to Sophie and Richard on news of a fourth addition to their brood!
