Danish band Lukas Graham have landed in hot water after covering the late rapper XXXTenacion's song SAD!, claiming to have no knowledge of his violent past.

The track was covered as a stripped-down version for the Spotify Singles series, and now the lead singer Lukas Forchammer has stated that the song will be removed from streaming services.

He posted a now-deleted statement to Instagram, writing; “Our cover of ‘SAD!’ will be taken down ASAP. I had no knowledge of his violent history. I’m very sorry for the pain I’ve caused. Again, I’m very sorry.”

The band allegedly had no clue about the deceased rap artist's controversial history with the law.

At the time of his death back in 2016, he was facing trial for a number of charges including false imprisonment and aggravated battery of a pregnant woman.

The band's apology referenced XXX's domestic abuse charges from October 2016, after he was shot and killed in June of that year.

The 20-year-old's multi-platinum-selling posthumous album ? has been boosted and featured by a number of famous hip-hop and rap artists.

The rapper confessed to “f*cking up” his ex-girlfriend, in addition to a number of other violent crimes in a secret video which was made public after his death.

Real name Jahseh Onfroy said in an interview with the podcast No Jumper that he nearly killed his gay prison inmate who was staring at him. He laughed throughout the interview, showing no remorse.

"I was going crazy,” he told the interviewer. “I smear his blood on my face, on my hands. I got it, like, in my nails. I got it all over me. I was going f*cking crazy.”

We all crave new Beyoncé music every day, because without her collection of life-altering tunes, where would we be? God knows.

Mysterious music was leaked online the other day on iTunes, totally unauthorised.

The musical goddess has been known to randomly drop albums, ever since 2016's iconic Lemonade release, but this seemed a little too random…fans quickly realised it was old music though:

The old recordings were released under the name Queen Carter, and iTunes somehow allowed it to be uploaded until fans pointed out the strange mistake.

The albums Back Up, Rewind and Have Your Way appeared on Apple Music and Spotify, and was comprised of demos, unreleased tracks and demo songs by Queen Bey, which were removed a few hours later.

Songs such as After All Is Said and Done, a duet with Marc Nelson from 1999, Hollywood with Jay-Z from his 2006 album Kingdom Come, and another song from Austin Powers called Hey Goldmember.

A Missy Elliot collaboration from the rapper's second album was also on the tracklist, as well as Keep Giving Your Love to Me from Bad Boys II, and Control, a stand-alone song.

Beyoncé has dropped her last three albums as surprises, her 2013 self-titled project, Lemonade, and Everything is Love by The Carters.

We'll take ANYTHING she graciously offers, but unreleased songs without her authorisation is damn wrong, let the Queen have control over her own music.

Grammy-nominated R&B singer SZA was also victim to this same mysterious hacking, with old music being uploaded to iTunes under the name Sister Solana (her real name is Solana Rowe).

SZA addressed the album of old demo tracks being released on streaming services on her Instagram, calling the project "random scratches from 2015" and claimed that the songs are "def not new new!"

It's all very mysterious behaviour altogether.

Apple Music and Spotify have yet to comment on the matter, but we'd bet that Beyoncé ain't happy about this at all.

Who is the culprit making drama for no apparent reason, though? Spill the lemonade tea.

2018 has been a whirlwind year for Ariana Grande, from her career skyrocketing with her massively successful album, Sweetener, breaking streaming and chart records to blowing our minds with her Thank U, Next music video.

However, just as her career has catapulted, her love life has given her increasing trouble. After her former love Mac Miller passed away earlier in the year, Ariana broke off her engagement with SNL comedian Pete Davidson.

She has now decided to channel those turbulent emotions into her Christmas decorations…

Her brother Frankie Grande posted a picture to Twitter of Grande's upside-down Christmas tree, evoking her trademark upside-down captions.

The tree is legitimately defying gravity up on the ceiling, and when asked out in NYC today why her tree resembles this shape, she replied;

"Sometimes life just be upside down." The lady ain't wrong. Her life is hectic as hell.

Between a much-publicised break-up, a called-off engagement, a planned world tour, a massively successful album, an ex-boyfriend dying of a drug overdose and a feud between Drake and Kanye which she accidentally joins, Ariana has had an absolutely wild year.

Feliz NaviDAMN she makes a good metaphor.

Merry Christmas Ari, we love the tree. You go Glen Coco.

Good morning only to Cardi B.

First of all, let it be said that nobody knows the ins and outs of anyone else's personal relationship, so this opinion feature is purely based off the recent chain of public events involving Cardi and her (*cough* loser) hubby.

tonight show yes GIF by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

The infamous American rapper has hit the headlines time and time again since her meteoric rise in 2016, for a variety of reasons.

Most recently, it’s as a result of her estranged husband and fellow rapper Offset, of hip-hop group Migos.

After a string of alleged affairs and cheating scandals, Cardi announced their separation earlier this month, stating that they “grew out of love.”

That was all fine and dandy, until Saturday night, when Offset decided to gate-crash her headline show.

Oh, by the way, this was the FIRST EVER FEMALE headliner show of Rolling Loud in Los Angeles, but he decided to take this moment away from her in order to beg for her forgiveness.

He ruined the moment that was years in the making, so instead of the attention being on the rap star, it was transferred to her estranged husband.

After saying that he loved her and would do whatever it takes to get her back,  his embarrassment of Cardi did not result in reunited love. Shocker.

Naturally, he abandoned the stage to scattered boos. Of course, the internet had it’s weave snatched, and targeted her ex-husband with (semi-deserved) enraged tweets which only worsened the issue at hand.

He doesn’t need more attention than he’s getting, attention is power, and only Cardi deserves empowerment at this time.

Now where in the world could Offset have gotten the not-so-bright idea to interrupt her mid-show to roll out flowers that spelled out the words ‘Take Me Back Cardi’?

Maybe, from every rom-com ever?

Where normally the male protagonist does something unforgivable, or at least extremely disrespectful to the female character, and then carries out a grand show of his affection and apologises in public before she gives in and kisses him, cue the credits rolling?

love actually christmas GIF

Yes, I’m looking at you, Love Actually.

Most people claim that, by declaring his love for her so publicly and essentially opening himself up to media frenzy, he is profiting and capitalising off their relationship issues.

Problems which he and only he caused by cheating on a rap goddess who has worked incredibly hard to get to where she is now.

black cardi b GIF by 2017 MTV Video Music Awards

It has also been pointed out that he is emotionally manipulating her by using an audience to sway her into accepting his apology.

Needless to say, Cardi was NOT impressed with his actions. Rolling Loud are also deservedly getting dragged for allowing the whole charade to take place.

Tariq Cherif, co-founder of the festival, has even released a statement to Us Weekly saying:

"Headliners and their teams have full control of the stage and who is allowed on it during their set at Rolling Loud. The festival does not interfere with or influence a headliner’s set list. We have never and will never do anything to change a headliner’s set."

The big reunion which Offset had hoped for did not happen, but maybe the entire thing was just for publicity sake. If it was, it worked.

He’s now firmly the focus of the entertainment media for the next week at least, and then he’ll most likely be yesterday’s news.

Anyone online who demands that Cardi return to a relationship where she was not being treated as she deserved to be need to called out for this gross error in judgement.

Offset wanted his ego stroked, and stormed into her place of work, calling to mind that absurd episode of Friends where Ross crashed into Rachel’s office with a picnic because he felt threatened by a male co-worker.

Toxic relationships become the centre of the stage, rather than the talent of the women involved. It’s as if they aren’t allowed to have love and a career.

His obvious display of toxic masculinity squashes any sense of true love, he simply shifted the power towards his side of the net by making himself the victim.

He most likely knew that his show of humiliation wouldn’t be met with joy by Cardi, but by putting himself in that position, he now has millions of fans feeling pity for him because of her rejection.

It’s a classic tactic done time and time again by people who want to have their cake and eat it too, they never hear the word ‘no’.

The entire debacle is problematic for a rake of reasons.

First of all, Cardi has been open in the past about her experiences with domestic abuse, and dating an incarcerated man. Both to escape abusive behaviours such as violence as well as poverty, Cardi B then turned to stripping.

She was in the Bloods gang from the age of sixteen, and in an abusive relationship at just 19. Exotic dancing was her key to success; her videos describing her experiences in the trade racked up millions of views online.

After already suffering at the hands of men she was in relationships with, before building up a HUGELY successful career, watching her allowing herself to be associated with a man who (allegedly…but pretty obviously) cheated on her is painful for her fans.

She is a much-loved personality whose music is an emblem of her own fiery energy.

Her music has broken hundreds of records, from SEVEN Grammy nominations, MTV VMA awards, to Billboard Hot 100 accolades such as the longest running female at the top of the charts for Bodak Yellow.

Her official debut album, Invasion of Privacy, has already broken streaming figure records and is Certified Gold in the US. She’s also a self-proclaimed feminist who believes in boosting other women, not to mention equality for men and women.

She is so unapologetic in the rap scene, dominating American charts especially because of how women relate and respond to her.

Her take-no-prisoners Bronx attitude and accent have attracted fascination and fans worldwide.

She is a figure who is far more complex than people give her credit for, and deciding whether or not to find the energy to forgive the father of your child for breaking your heart must be incredibly hard.

The day after all of this drama, the 26-year-old asked her fans to abandon their tirade against her ex, saying;

"I know I see a lot of people bashing me because I'm defending my baby's father, they think I'm gonna get back together with him. I'm not saying that I'm gonna get back together with him, I just don't like that bashing online thing.”

She’s being the bigger person after having her gig interrupted, suffering infidelity and humiliation as a result of his actions, and yet he thinks he deserves to have her back?

If he actually cared about her at all, he would give her the peace needed to heal from the damage which he has caused, and leave her the hell alone.

Cut off the negativity and toxicity from your life, and you will see how much you are worth. Only you can decide your worth, not some guy who thinks it’s okay to cheat on someone as amazing as you.

Cardi doesn’t waste her time, she doesn’t waste her money, and she certainly shouldn’t waste her life on someone like Offset.

Rant over, mic dropped, bodak yellowed.

Ariana Grande took the title of most listened to female artist of 2018 on Spotify, with her Sweetener album deservedly breaking numerous records. Slay queen.

Pop superstar Taylor Swift has officially signed a new record deal with Universal Music, which marks her first signing with a major label.

Before this, all of her music has been released on independent country label, Big Machine. She signed with the small recording company, which is an imprint of giant UMG, when she was only 14-years-old, and her deal has now expired.

At the age of 28, she will now release her music globally through Universal Music Group.

The news came after she uploaded a photo to Instagram of herself posing with Universal executives Lucian Grange and Monte Lipman.

One year one from the release of her triple-platinum album Reputation, Swift underwent talks with every major record group, and requested more financial and creative freedom from a potential new deal.

This is massive news for Taylor, as she will now own all of the music which she records, resulting in the singer earning more money through sales and album streams.

Universal have also agreed to repay their artists with any money made from Spotify streams.

This is not the first time Taylor has campaigned for streaming service rights for artists; in 2015 she played a large role in persuading Apple Music to change how they pay artists.

The singer wrote a now-iconic open letter to Apple requesting that artists, producers, and creatives are fairly paid for their work:

"I say to Apple with all due respect, it’s not too late to change this policy and change the minds of those in the music industry who will be deeply and gravely affected by this."

Swift has now utterly changed the streaming game, with Universal now accepting her terms in the newly arranged deal.

"As part of my new contract with Universal Music Group, I asked that any sale of their Spotify shares result in a distribution of money to their artists," she wrote on Instagram.

"They have generously agreed to this, at what they believe will be much better terms than paid out previously by other major labels."

"I see this as a sign that we are headed towards positive change for creators – a goal I'm never going to stop trying to help achieve."

"I want to express my heartfelt thanks to Scott Borchetta for believing in me as a 14-year-old and for guiding me through over a decade of work that I will always be so proud of."

"The best thing I've been lucky enough to receive is the dedication, trust and loyalty of the fans who have cared about the words and melodies I've written. My biggest goal moving forward is to make you proud."

Chairman and CEO of UMG Lucien Grainge spoke out to praise Swift for her work:

"Few artists in history approach Taylor Swift's combination of massive global hits and creative brilliance. She is so multi-talented, she can achieve anything. I have such enormous respect for Taylor, in particular for her use of her hard-earned influence to promote positive change.

Lipman, founder and CEO of Republic Records, added: "Taylor has not only captured the imagination of an entire generation, but has also redefined the paradigm of the modern music industry."

Swift's latest album Reputation received unprecedented critical acclaim before becoming the biggest-selling album of 2017, selling around 1.3 MILLION albums in just one week.

So a few weeks back, we decided to set up a SHEmazing Spotify account – because we just love good tunes.

We created a playlist that was made of up of songs by some of our favourite females, from TLC to Dua Lipa.

We had so much fun making the playlist, and sharing it with you – so we've decided to make a new playlist!

We did a poll on Facebook, asking you gorgeous humans if you'd prefer a gym playlist or a boy band one.

In a not-so-shocking twist, the boy bands won out, and so we got to work!

We'd like to introduce you to 'Boyband Lovin', the perfect compilation of all your favourite fellas.

We included some of the most iconic 90s hits from The Backstreet Boys and NSync, as well as some tunes from the likes of Blue and Westlife.

We'll be doing a few polls in the coming weeks to ask you all what we should add to the boy band playlist.

Enjoy, ladies!

We have set ourselves up on Spotify, and created the grooviest playlist ever (think all the best in 90s pop, plus Dua Lipa and the gals).

Currently, we have about 45 songs on it, but we are so open to suggestions. Have a song you love? Let us know, and sure we'll add it on for you.

So we added that, and 4 other bangers for you!
