squad goals

She might count Lorde, Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss and Lena Dunham amongst her besties, but the very first member of Taylor's squad was her childhood friend Britany Maack.

The pair have known each other since they were just a couple of weeks old, and so it was inevitable that Taylor would step up to the plate as Britany's maid of honour last month in Philadelphia, with both of them clad in custom Reem Acra courtesy of Tay.

Some luck (or Taylor-approved planning) with the wedding date meant that Tay was long finished with her world tour and so was able to head to Philly for the rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony and reception.

So there's more than a few sightings of her in the 11-minute wedding video, which Britany shared yesterday. And there are definitely a few nuggets of info that we didn't know until now.

That Taylor performed at the reception for example:

Or that she partied 'til the wee hours on the dancefloor:

Or, most touchingly, that she made a super-cheesy but super-lovely maid of honour speech on the day. The video features some clips from the speech, which – if Britany and her husband Ben's reactions were anything to go by – went down a treat.

"He [Ben] would chase her, and pursue her through middle school and junior high and high school," she said of the happy couple.

"And their paths would diverge, and then come back together, and it would be so magically unpredictable but at the same time, so incredibly fated, just like the best love stories are."

She also made reference to the fact that her life has gone down a drastically different path than Britany's has, but added that their friendship has always endured.

"Everything in my life has changed except for me and Britany.

"She was my partner in crime at Brownies sleepaway camp, and she was my date to the Grammys."

Too cute. Watch the video in full here:
