There’s a NEW Starbucks autumn drink… but is it coming to Ireland?
When it comes to seasonal drinks, Starbucks definitely have the monopoly on the latter half of the year.
Any new flavour launched by the company results in worldwide excitement, and it was no different when the Toasted Graham Latte was revealed this morning.
The new drink will stand alongside the Pumpkin Spice Latte to form the coffee giant's limited edition range of autumnal drinks… with special fall-themed cups, too.
For those of you who have never tried a graham cracker (that would be pretty much any Irish person), it is something akin to a Digestive biscuit.
They're made of graham flour, a type of whole-wheat flour which gives them their mealy, sweet taste.
Graham crackers are often used in cheesecake bases, and now they're entering the world of beverages with Starbucks' newest addition.
Described as an "espresso beverage with steamed milk, flavours of graham and sweet cream and finished with a sprinkling of cinnamon graham crumbles," the Toasted Graham Latte sounds DELISH.
And we reckon it'll be much more universally appealing than the strong cinnamon spice of the PSL.
But – the big question – will the Toasted Graham Latte be available in Ireland?
Sadly it seems like the new drink won't be making it over to this side of the pond, with official press statements saying it's just a US and Canada addition.
Starbucks Ireland have made no mention of the new drink on Facebook or Twitter, nor have they responded to questions about it today.
A visit to our local branch of Starbucks revealed that staff knew nothing of any new additions, though we were told that there IS hopefully another flavour coming in November… "Spiced Apple or something."
For now though, we'll just have to be happy with Pumpkin Spice, and the return of the Toffee Nut Latte, Eggnog Latte and more come Red Cup season.
