Former Strictly Come Dancing dancer  Aliona Kavanagh (maiden name, Vilani) has announced she's pregnant!

Aliona won the last series of Strictly with Jay McGuinness but this year wanted to concentrate on her new marriage with Vincent Kavanagh.

The star took to Twitter  to share the "wonderful news."

"Just want to share our amazing news! Vin & I are pregnant and we are sooo excited to have our little miracle!!!"

Fans rushed to account to wish her congratulations. One follower wrote, "Congratulations lovely lady, if you're half the mother you are dancer, you'll be amazing."

We're delighted for the parents-to-be.

Earlier this week, Charlotte Crosby aggravated fans by jokingly tweeting that she will be appearing on this year’s I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!.

The Geordie’s followers were less than impressed to learn that the news was untrue and openly asked Charlotte why she would pull such a peculiar prank.

While the reality star did not answer the puzzling question online, she has since revealed to The Sun that she made the claim to prove a point to I’m a Celeb… producers who she says have banned her from taking part in the show.

 

“Everyone was so excited so I’m hoping it gave the producers the push to think they should let me on the show,” the former Geordie Shore star told the site.

“My fans were so upset because they want us on.”

“I can’t go on as they won’t have us,” she revealed.  “I’ve been banned because I was on Big Brother and they won’t follow suit…It’s out of my control.”

The 26-year-old also confessed that she will not be appearing on Strictly Come Dancing in the near future, despite having a strong desire to do so.

“I would love to do Strictly Come Dancing,” she said.  “I want that to happen so bad.”

“I’m not allowed on that as they don’t think I’m PG enough.  Kids love me though.  I’m gonna try me best to get on that.”

Laura Whitmore had to bow out gracefully from last week's Strictly Come Dancing due to an ankle injury.

The Bray native will take to the dance floor again tonight but has admitted she's lost a lot of confidence in herself.

She told the Irish Mirror: “I am a really confident person when it comes to presenting on TV but I’ve lost it.

“I feel like I’m not 100% me. When you start the show you’re so out of your depth.

“I felt terrible last Saturday but I’ve given myself a new lease. You can only do your best.

“The support from everyone willing you on makes such a difference," she added.

Strictly Come Dancing has taken to its Twitter account to share the news that Laura Whitmore will not be dancing in this week's show.

The tweet said: "Sadly Laura @thewhitmore is suffering from an ankle injury and won’t be dancing on #Strictly tonight". 

Laura also took to Twitter to say she was devastated by the news.

Laura and her partner Giovanni Pernice were all set to dance the jive, but due to an injury sustained earlier in the week, she was advised by the medical team to rest. 

Laura and Giovanni will go straight through to next week and the show will continue with a public vote as usual tonight.

As fans come to terms with Will Young’s shock Strictly departure, reports are emerging which suggest that the singer may have grown “fed up” of his dance partner, Karen Clifton.

According to The Mirror, the Leave Right Now performer was struggling to deal with the workload placed on him by the dancer in the run-up to him quitting the show for “personal reasons”.

A source told the paper that the 37-year-old did not like being consistently scrutinised and as a result had “squabbled” with Karen last week during rehearsals for the show.

“Karen was just doing her job, she was training him hard but in the end he just didn’t want to keep getting told off and corrected all the time,” they said.

“It infuriated him. They squabbled a few times during rehearsals and it left him feeling exhausted. He just found the whole process too taxing and didn't think it was worth such a huge effort.”

However, the source’s claims run contrary to a statement released by the star himself on Tuesday.

When announcing he would be leaving the hit series, Will said: “I have found a creative partnership with Karen that has been the most wonderful thing to experience.”

“I will be eternally grateful to her for her direction, talent and guiding me through three wonderful dances that I will be able to show my grandkids in years to come.”

Will Young shocked his fans this week when he quit Strictly Come Dancing.

The show is only in it's third week but Will pulled out due to "personal reasons."

And now, it's revealed just how much money he'll lose by breaking his contract with the BBC.

According to The Telegraph, the singer faces a loss of £20,000 (€22,000) for quitting the show, which means he'll only receive £5,000 (€5,500) of his reported fee for taking part.

There has been a lot of speculation surrounding his exit from the infamous series, with many saying it's because of his bust-up with Len Goodman on the second week of the show.

Others are claiming that it's because of his anxiety issues, while more sources are saying he's just "dandy."

Whatever the reason, we'll miss him.

Will Young has unexpectedly quit this year’s Strictly Come Dancing for “personal reasons”.

This evening, the Leave Right Now singer said in a statement: “To be a part of Strictly has been a long time ambition of mine.  As a performer, a viewer, and a fan of the show, to dance as a contestant was an experience I always hoped for.”

“I have made some great friends, and am in awe of their performances week in, week out.” 

“I have found a creative partnership with Karen that has been the most wonderful thing to experience,” he continued.

“I will be eternally grateful to her for her direction, talent and guiding me through three wonderful dances that I will be able to show my grandkids in years to come.”

“Unfortunately, I am leaving the show for personal reasons.  I leave with joy in my heart that I have been able to take part in one of the most loved shows on British television.” 

While fans of the show have been quick to speculate that the 37-year-old’s shock departure could be linked to criticism he received from Strictly judge Len Goodman on Saturday night, sources say the row had nothing to do with his decision to leave.

She wowed the judges with her latest Strictly performance, but that doesn’t mean Laura Whitmore is without her critics.

Last week, the Bray native hit headlines after reportedly ignoring Georgia May Foote’s request to stop posting photos of her dance partner and Georgia’s ex, Giovanni Pernice, on social media.

Since then, the former Coronation Street star has unfollowed the popular presenter online, presumably in a bid to distance herself from her former friend’s dance practices.

Now, Geordie Shore’s Marnie Simpson has decided to weigh in on the drama by criticising both Laura and Giovanni in her latest Star magazine column.

Fresh from her stint in Lithuania with Chloe Ferry, Lewis Bloor’s girlfriend wrote: “I don’t know why Georgia May Foote is bothered about her ex Giovanni Pernice – he’s not even nice.”

“She’s a beautiful girl and can do so much better.”

“People are saying he’ll hook up with his new partner Laura Whitmore,” she continued.  “But Georgia is way better.”

The 24-year-old Celebrity Big Brother contestant added: “Laura was really cold to me when I met her.”

If the last few years are anything to go by, it's safe to say a professional dancer and a contestant will hook up on this series of Strictly Come Dancing.

And now, the bets are on for Laura Whitmore to get with her dancing partner Giovanni Pernice.

As we all know, last year Gio got in a relationship with his last partner, Georgia May Foote, after the show ended. But, that romance swiftly came to an end when Giovanni began practise for this season of the show.

However, it's not the punters making bets about this possibility, it's other dancers.

Gleb Savchenko, who was previously a pro on the show told Star magazine: "I bet you £100 Gioanni will get with Laura this year.

"Next season I'll bet you another £100 he will get with his new partner.

"Georgia and Giovanni were never going to get married, have kids and live happily ever after."

OUCH… Can you see it happening?

We're all looking forward to Laura Whitmore competing in Strictly Come Dancing, and now the first official photo of her with her dance partner Giovanni Pernice is finally here.

And we have to say, Laura looks the BOMB.

Posing in a sparkling yellow tassel dress, the former MTV presenter is all smiles for the camera.

The BBC captioned the snap, "@thewhitmore @pernicegiovann1 It's your first official photo as a pair! Whatcha think? #Strictly."

Laura recently told the Daily Star that the training with Giovanni has been hard and she's been working her "ass off."

It looks like Olly Murs is throwing a bit of shade at the X Factor since he's going to be performing on Strictly Come Dancing – Simon Cowell's arch nemesis in the TV world.

RadioTimes.com has confirmed that Olly and another former X Factor contestant, Rebecca Ferguson, will both appear as musical guests at the launch of the series.

Now, we all know that nearly everyone in the UK and Ireland have to do an annual swapathon with the channels, but Strictly is looking to take the top spot on Saturday September 3, when the first episode of the series will air.

And with Daisy Lowe, Anastacia, Ed Balls, Will Young, Louise Redknapp and Danny Mac all taking part, we're really looking forward to it.

Being a successful TV presenter obviously has its perks – you get to meet incredible people, travel to exclusive locations and wear the nicest gear.  But as Laura Whitmore just pointed out, fame also has some major disadvantages.

It’s only been a day since the Bray native announced that she will be taking part in the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing and already the paparazzi are creeping on her gaff.

And while many people would board up their windows in a bid to protect their privacy, Laura has decided to call out the “creepy photographer” in question for his actions.

 

 

In her latest tweet the 31-year-old star shared a picture of the photographer who is trying to snap a photo of her from a Mini parked outside her house.

In the accompanying message the London-based presenter said: “Creepy photographer outside my house…I see you.  Thanks for making me feel intimidated in my own home.”

Laura’s followers have been quick to support her statement as one tweeted “Disgusting!  Your home is where you are supposed to feel safe,” while another adopted a more light-hearted approach by writing: “@thewhitmore do a few dance steps for him.”
