The 2015 Billboard Music Awards took place last night in Las Vegas, and though only US viewers were lucky enough to watch it live, we made do with an online stream and the help of Vine/Twitter/Instagram.

Here are just a few of the feelings that struck us as we watched…

1. Intense life envy for Taylor Swift
Eight awards. EIGHT. And if sitting beside her new boyfriend Calvin Harris wasn't enough, Ed Sheeran was there too.

 

2. Major cringing when we saw that first hug/kiss/nuzzle between her and Calvin
Oh god, look away NOW, cameras.

 

3. Fear for Niall Horan's sperm count after Harry Styles "playfully" grabbed him by the balls
JEEZ, HARRY.

 

4. Relief that Liam Payne didn't make a big deal about being cut off during the lads' acceptance speech
Someone obviously forget that all four of them were meant to speak…

 

4. A strong sense of Irish pride seeing both Niall AND Hozier accepting awards on stage
Represent.

 

5. Stress for poor Mariah attempting those high notes
Not tonight, love.

 

6. And even more stress for J-Lo trying to look sincere as she clapped for her
We're guessing she didn't enjoy it…

 

8. Worry that poor Kanye was going to pass out from smoke inhalation
His closing performance had so many pyrotechnics that it was near impossible to see him, and the song was so heavily censored for curse words than his singing was barely audible. Oops.

Ever since Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris were first spotted together back in March, we've been waiting for them to officially confirmed their relationship.

The pair have been spotted holding hands a few times, and Calvin's even braved a severe cat hair allergy to hang out with Taylor's feline pals, but until now that's about as far as the rumoured romance has gone.

Now though, the pair have openly addressed things for the first time, getting seriously cosy at last night's Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas. Taylor took home a whopping eight awards on the night, and was quick to show her happiness by leaning in for a kiss and a hug with her new man on more than one occasion.

According to Us Weekly, the singer got up and chatted to numerous friends during the show's commercial breaks, and introduced Calvin to pals including Hailee Steinfeld, Nick Jonas and others.

Calvin definitely passed the "suitable boyfriend" test by getting pally with Taylor's bestie Ed Sheeran, who sat next to the pair during the show.

We sense a serious bromance here:

Sources close to Taylor say that she is smitten with Calvin, and that the pair make a great team. "They're making time for each other in a way that other guys she's been with haven't before," an an insider told Us Weekly. "They're taking it one step at a time."

The Shake It Off singer opened up about her dating woes in a recent interview with Glamour US, saying the media refused to allow her to have a normal love life like any other twenty-something.

"I think the media has sent me a really unfair message over the past couple of years, which is that I’m not allowed to date for excitement, or fun, or new experiences or learning lessons," she admitted. "I’m only allowed to date if it’s for a lasting, multiple-year relationship. Otherwise I’m a, quote, ‘serial dater’. Or, quote, ‘boy crazy.’"

We're delighted to see things working out for her.

After promoting her upcoming Bad Blood video all week via social media, Taylor Swift finally debuted it at the Billboard Music Awards last night.

The singer definitely called in a few favours from friends, as the video's star-studded female cast is like nothing we've ever seen before.

As well as Taylor's BFFs Lena Dunham, Selena Gomez, Lily Aldridge, Cara Delevingne, Ellie Goulding, Gigi Hadid and Karlie Kloss, the video also featured Hailee Steinfeld, Ellen Pompeo, Zendaya, Hayley Williams, Jessica Alba, Cindy Crawford and more. With a badass Sin City feel, this video is a change from the norm for the pop singer.

Taylor teased the video's cast via Instagram and Twitter last week, sharing film noir style posters featuring each star along with their sassy alter ego name, from 'Knockout' for Karlie Kloss to 'Slay-Z' for Gigi Hadid.

Taylor Swift is getting ready to become a godmother for the first time thanks to her BFF Jaime King, and she's already been sharing her excitement with fans.

However the singer may have let a big piece of information slip when she shared this sweet video earlier today of herself and Jaime checking out the baby's movements. 

In the video, simply captioned "checking up on these two :)", Taylor's hand can be seen on her friend's bump as the little one kicks inside.

The expectant mum is heard saying, "He's sticking his arm up for you," before Taylor responds, "That's crazy! Happy Mother's Day!"

Although model Jaime admitted to E! News a while back that she was aware of her new baby's sex, she refused to disclose the gender at the time.

So could this latest video mean that Jaime and her husband Kyle Newman are expecting a second boy? It certainly seems that way…

It didn't seem like the American model was too annoyed about the big reveal though, as she took to Instagram herself later on to repost Taylor's video with the caption, "#Regram from our special visitor tonight @taylorswift – baby is ready to play with his God Mother. Like, NOW! Get ready Meredith and Olivia because this one is gonna wanna cuddle and dance alllll day with your mama! I love you so much Tay. Thank you…. Always x"

Jaime and Kyle are already parents to one-year-old James, who they welcomed back in October 2013.

In February the couple revealed they were expecting again with an adorable Instagram post showing little James holding a sign that read, "I'm gonna be a big brother! Who da boss now, I'm so excited!!!!"

How cute?!

We're delighted to hear the couple will now have another little boy to add to their brood, and we know who to turn to for Jaime's baby updates in the future…

TayTay is well known for her kind and loving nature, she often reaches out and offers advice to Swifties in need and this is one of our favourite things about her.

The singer has done it again in a very moving Tumblr post to support a heartbroken girl on Mother's Day.

A fan called Kaileen wrote to Taylor telling her about her beloved mother, how "she's in heaven" and how hard it is at the moment because her mum was her best friend, Taylor then responded with an emotional piece about how losing her own mother is her worst fear and telling Kaileen that she is sending her a hug during this difficult time. 

This comes after the recent news that Taylor's own mother, Andrea, is battling cancer. Taylor expressed her sadness to her loyal followers on Tumblr last month by writing: "I’m saddened to tell you that my mom has been diagnosed with cancer.” 

This will no doubt be a big struggle for Taylor as she tries to focus on her 1989 world tour, without her mum being there for all of her shows. 

We adore how supportive Taylor is of all of her fans, we love that girl too much.

Our thoughts are with Kaileen and Taylor during these tough times.

Apart from being an amazing singer and best friends with Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift is also just an ordinary woman just like the rest of us. Her music has always been relatable and many of us grew up as she did, so she was like the big sister we never met. 

In a recent interview with Elle, she has done it again and spoken up about the difficulty of heartache. She began speaking about her 1989 song Clean and said "so it shows you where I ended up mentally." She then went on to open up about her own experience of heartbreak and we can completely relate. 

"You know how it is when you're going through heartbreak. A heartbroken person is unlike any other person. Their time moves at a completely different pace than ours," she said.

She then went on to admit: "It's this mental, physical, emotional ache and feeling so conflicted. Nothing distracts you from it. Then time passes, and the more you live your life and create new habits, you get used to not having a text message every morning saying, "Hello, beautiful. Good morning."

The singer then went on to talk about getting used to new habits and letting go of the old ones. 

"You get used to not calling someone at night to tell them how your day was. You replace these old habits with new habits, like texting your friends in a group chat all day and planning fun dinner parties and going out on adventures with your girlfriends, and then all of a sudden one day you're in London and you realise you've been in the same place as your ex for two weeks and you're fine. And you hope he's fine," she said.

"The first thought that came to my mind was, 'I'm finally clean.'"

Could the London reference mean Taylor was referring to her break-up with Harry Styles?

No matter who it was about, we will have this song on repeat tonight. Broken hearts do heal.

There seems to be no stopping the Jenner girls' world-domination. And while their names are clearly big business already – now Kendall and Kylie Jenner want to make that official.

Last month, the mega-celebrity sisters made an application to the US Patent And Trademark Office in a bid to exercise greater control over how their names are used.

Kylie applied to have both her full name and first name trademarked, while the elder sister made the application just for her full name.

TMZ also says they’re making the move to trademark “Kendall & Kylie”, as well as “Kendall and Kylie”.

All of which means that a range of goods such as bags, umbrellas, clothing, hair accessories, and beauty products all bearing the Jenner girls’ monikers are on the way.

The duo have a number of projects in the pipeline

 

Recently Taylor Swift went down a similar route, trade-marking a number of phrases, including “Party Like It’s 1989”, “This Sick Beat”, and “Nice to Meet You, Where You Been?” from her latest album.

Kendall, 19, is worth €5.4m while Kylie, 17, is worth €4.5m. Still, their half-sister Kim Kardashian is valued at €76.5m.

The sisters have already hosted several high-profile events together

 

The Jenner sisters have also already hosted the likes of the 2014 Much Music Video Awards and 2014 Billboard Music Awards together, as well as several red carpet events.

They have their own clothing, handbag, shoe, and jewellery lines and co-wrote a sci-fi novel, Rebels: City of Indra. Projects in the pipeline include a mobile phone game.

For the first time outside of the US, this summer Topshop will carry the newest Kendall and Kylie clothing and accessories range.

Taylor Swift has opened up about how she feels about Kanye West in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. 

It looks like we should be expecting a collaboration between the pair very soon.

"We've never been in a studio together, but he's got a lot of amazing ideas," Taylor explained.

She continued: ""He's one of those people that's just like idea, idea, idea. Like, 'What do you think of this? What do you think of that?'"

The singer claims: "He's very creative and like, I think we've talked about it but we've also talked about so many other things. I think I completely respect his vision as a producer. So, that's all I know now. I have no idea what the next album's gonna be, though."

It looks like Taylor and Kanye have definitely gotten over their awkward moment at the 2009 VMAs.

After recently breaking up with his girlfriend, Athina Andrelos, Ed Sheeran is ready to find the one.

The pair dated for almost a year, but the singer has now confessed: "My parents have been married for 30 years, my grandparents were together 66 years. I'm definitely bred into that life of you find a partner and you stick with them."

He has described his celebrity bestie, Taylor Swift, as a "brilliant wingman" as he begins to move on from Athina. People once speculated whether Ed and TayTay were romantically involved, but those rumours were not true and they really are just great friends. Awww, bless.

Ed has also spoken up about his friend, Shane Warne, when it comes to charming the ladies: “He’s hugely impressive. It’s an art form with him.”

We can't help but feel sorry for Calvin Harris's love-interests. 

Rumours have now surfaced that he was still with his model girlfriend, Aarika Wolf, when he first began dating Taylor Swift. 

A source told Confidenti@l that the world's richest DJ confessed to a friend that he had cheated on Aarika with TayTay. The source explained: “Calvin and Aarika met on the set of his music video ‘Blame’ in August, and they started officially dating in October.

“They were full-on boyfriend/girlfriend for about six months; totally joined at the hip,” they added

Apparently, Taylor is an innocent party and certainly had no idea when they met that Calvin was linked to anyone else.

“He ended up breaking up with Aarika, and then just pretended that the Taylor Swift stuff happened after (the breakup). Aarika probably knows now that she was cheated on,” the source went on to claim. 

Although she hasn't confirmed or denied the rumours, Aarika has since deleted all images of her and Calvin from her Instagram account.

The source also admitted that there may be trouble in Swift-Harris paradise already: “It’s awkward because Calvin’s friends are very much the late-night club and DJ crowd; Taylor doesn’t seem to fit in.”

They added: “Calvin’s friends think he’s doing it because it’s good for his profile.”

Uh-oh… let's hope there's no substance to the rumours: this is one celebrity romance we want to last.

She may be one tough cookie, but it seems that all the coverage of Taylor Swift’s love life really did get to her.

With the Shake It Off star’s romantic endeavours often taking up more headline space than her music, Taylor has finally spoken out about the impact all of that media attention has had on her.

Opening up in an interview with Glamour magazine, the 25-year-old admitted that the portrayal of her as “boy crazy” was what ultimately turned her off dating for the past three years.

“I do feel jaded about relationships, to be honest. I think the media has sent me a really unfair message over the past couple of years, which is that I’m not allowed to date for excitement, or fun, or new experiences or learning lessons,” she said.

The Style singer added: “I’m only allowed to date if it’s for a lasting, multiple-year relationship. Otherwise I’m a, quote, serial dater. Or, quote, boy crazy.”

Taylor, who is now reportedly dating fellow music star Calvin Harris, even went so far as to blame the media for a number of her break-ups.

“You know what has been the reason? The media. You take something very fragile, like trying to get to know someone, and it feels like walking out into the middle of a gladiator arena with someone you’ve just met. All of a sudden the public and the media are allowed to say thumbs up or thumbs down. So I just don’t try it anymore,” she added.

Poor Taylor. Stepping out with your crush is difficult enough, without the added pressure of, oh, just the world’s paparazzi chasing you! Fair play to her for speaking out.
