The world was stunned by the sudden death of Dolores O’Riordan in the January of this year. The Cranberries singer was found dead in her hotel room in London, however, no cause of death was confirmed at the time of her passing.

An inquest has found that the Zombie singer died by drowning due to alcohol intoxication.

The 46-year-old was laid to rest at her hometown in Limerick. Thousands gathered to pay their respects.

The Irish musician’s mum Eileen thanked the public for their constant support at the time of her death: “We want to thank all the people of Limerick who have remembered Dolores this week. The people who queued to sign the book of condolence – some of them standing in the rain – it has meant a huge amount to us and has been a great source of comfort.”

Tickets are priced from €49.65, and go on sale this Friday, February 10 at 9am on Ticketmaster.

The Cranberries are set to regroup and tour the festival circuit this summer according to founding member, Noel Hogan.

The guitarist and songwriter for the band took to Twitter to announce that the popular Limerick group will be doing "a few shows" this summer and we can't wait to hear which Irish festivals make the cut.

The band, best known for their songs Zombie and Linger, have only yet announced one of the upcoming shows, which is at the Festi’neuch festival in Neuchatel, Switzerland on June 9.

The band has not performed live together since the release of their 2009 album Roses, the bands first new material since 2001.

We have our fingers crossed for an Electric Picnic headline spot.

The regrouping comes just two years after lead singer Dolores O' Riordan initiated High Court proceedings against songwriter Noel Hogan.

Though there is no reports over what the action was about, the proceedings were eventually struck out.

Dolores is also facing four charges which include assault after she was arrested last year. In November 2014 she was arrested in Shannon Airport following a flight from New York.

Cranberries singer Dolores O’Riordan, 43, has been receiving “on going” medical treatment and is said by her solicitor to be too ill to attend her court date.

She is facing four charges which include assault after she was arrested last year. In November 2014 she was arrested in Shannon Airport following a flight from New York.

She is also being charged with one offence of wilful obstruction of a Garda.

The Independent reported that concerns had been raised for Dolores when she was taken into custody and was then “engaged in a chorus of singing and shouting from her jail cell.”

Her solicitor Bill O’Donnell told Ennis District Court that she has been receiving residential medical treatment and would be able to make an appearance.

He asked for the case to be adjourned for three months and added that Dolores would “benefit” from the delay. He said:

“My client is presently receiving ongoing medical treatment and presently she's receiving residential treatment, hence her absence from court.”

Judge Patrick Durcan has agreed to the adjournment and adding that if someone is need of medical treatment he believes the court “should facilitate that.”

Shortly after the incident, it was revealed that the mother of three was in the middle of separating from her husband of 20 years Don Burton.

Her mother Eileen explained:

“She is going through a marriage separation at the moment; that’s hard for anyone.”

She also added that she was concerned for her daughter’s health at the time, adding that she had hoped her daughter would return from New York in good health.

“She wouldn’t have the support there. She is suffering from lack of sleep over the weeks and her brain is racing all the time. She is working very hard. When she was in New York she kept saying ‘when I go home to my mother in Ireland, I will be fine.”

There is shocking news in the world of Irish music today as it has been revealed that The Voice Of Ireland judge, Dolores O’Riordan has split with her husband of twenty years.

In an exclusive interview with The Limerick Leader, Eileen O’Riordan, Dolores’ mum said that her daughter is in a “very vulnerable” state and is currently “under the care of a psychiatric doctor”.

Eileen also confirmed the split, saying: “She is going through a marriage separation at the moment. That’s hard for anyone.”

Dolores was married to Don Burton in Tipperary back in 1994.

The couple have three children together; Taylor, Molly and Dakota.

The sad news comes days after Dolores was arrested for assaulting an air host and a member of the guards on a flight from New York to Shannon.

She was later released by Garda.

We really hope Dolores feels better soon – this sounds like a very hard time for her and her family.

The new addition to The Voice is proving a great success all round. Dolores is already emerging as the most sought after and most entertaining judge to take up a red seat on the show so far.

When all four judges turned last night for John Hogan Jr., a Wicklow native living in Galway, it seemed Kian, Bressie and Jamelia knew they didn’t stand a chance as Dolores had turned also.

John’s song, written by himself was described as a polite version of a rap song and it really impressed Dolores it would seem; “I’m very proud to come back and see this talent in my country.”

Dolores also came out on top when Ciara Donnelly chose Bressie over Kian and Jamelia but also added; “I had it in my mind who I was going to go for when I came in and she (Dolores) didn’t turn around so I’m going to go for Bressie”.

RTE The Voice have even released a hilarious video called ‘Doloresisms’ which you can watch here. G’wan Dolores!
