Twitter is having none of Conor McGregor’s Late Late ‘apology’
Conor McGregor left many viewers feeling cold after a preview of his interview on this Friday's The Late Late Show was released.
In the clip, the MMA icon can be heard describing a recent incident where he was caught using a homophobic slur as an example of people throwing him 'under a bus.'
'I meant no disrespect to nobody of the LGBT community,' the clip shows.
May not be a popular opinion but I don't get the McGregor hype dedicated athlete maybe – but seeing young men worship him is worrying

'I didn’t mean no disrespect.'
'You’d swear I was screaming at two people of the same sex kissing.'
Twitter have reacted en masse to the apology, and many feel it simply isn't good enough:
If you think McGregor's 'apology' is good enough you're part of the problem. Check your privilege.

If Conor McGregor had said 'I know now that that word is completely unnacceptable in any regard – I'm sorry' I'd have some respect for him x

"You’d swear I was screaming at two people of the same sex kissing." McGregor using the "I'm sorry you need an apology" form of apologising.

Imagine being someone who jumps in to defend Conor McGregor to strangers on the internet because he used a homophobic word.

He won’t lose much support among his fan base but sadly as a role model , his use of the “F” legitimizes it among his fan base
