the late late show

Well this is probably one of the strangest celebrity friendships we have heard of yet.

Last night on Celebrity Big Brother, 'world's first super model' Janice Dickinson was dropping names all over the place. The one name we couldn't help to ay attention to though was her favourite Irish celeb.

Janice and Ryan Tubridy are apparently the best of friends. Well, sort of anyway.

The American TV personality was having a tough time of it in the house and just couldn't face the cold anymore. She was overwhelmed with emotion when she received a care package.

Included in the package wre some extra warm jumpers from her fiancé Ricky. One of these was an Aran jumper that Ryan gifted her after her appearance on The Late Late Show

Her shout out was part of a strange goodbye speech, which was odd enough seeing as she wasn't actually going anywhere, in which she offered the jumpers to her fellow housemates.

Janice was gifted the jumper from Tubs back in 2010 when she explained that she hadn;t been able to find one anywhere. Bizarre, but also quite sweet.

Although the people of Twitter were very confused about the whole thing:

Oh Janice, you never fail to disappoint:

Host of the Late Late Show James Corden has seen his career go from strength to strength of late.

After a move to the states to take over the job of hosting one of their most popular late night talk shows, he managed to win over plenty of viewers with his humour. Car pool Karaoke has seen him take on some absolutely hilarious tunes and we got to hear Jennifer Hudson give the most ridiculous live performance, ever.

However, obviously James is keen to make sure he doesn't get pigeon-holed with his latest career venture.

He decided that he wanted to see what all the football fuss was about in the states and managed to get himself onto the pitch with the Oakland Raiders team.

The team have a crowd of fans that are notorious hard to please as far as American football goes, but James seemed eager to rise to the challenge.

He also spent some time trying to get on their good side as he joined the fans in one of their favourite pre-match activities, tail-gating.

This is essentially a lot of food and drinks enjoyed in a car park type setting. James did not arrive empty handed though, he brought his own snacks. Serrano ham to be exact, because he's fancy.

Ah the Late Late Show. A sure sign that our Irish summer is drawing to a close is hearing that familiar theme song coming from the telly ona Friday night.

There's just something about it that we can't turn our back on. We're not the only ones, over the years Ryan and previous hosts have had some pretty incredible guests on the show. Many of whom are musically inclined.

To highlight the musical talents, and just star power in general, that has graced the show, the folks at RTE put together a brilliant new sing-a-long trailer.

Oh you might laugh at how cringe it seems, but trust us, you'll be singing long by the time the chorus kicks in.

The hilarious Betty White was making an appearance on James Corden’s, The Late Late Show and, ever the joker, decided to prank-call the host before her arrival.

A bewildered James Corden politely obliges the comedy legend as she makes some outrageous diva-esque requests.

Oh yes – ranging from demanding a change in dressing room colour to supplying just one flavour of M&Ms (yellow), the 93-year-old sure knows how to act the prima donna.

With his comedy background it’s a wonder the 36-year-old Londoner didn’t realise that it was a prank sooner. Although, with some celebrities' reputations, he can probably never be too sure.

Watch the hilarious clip where a secret camera captures James’ flabbergasted reaction.

Justin Bieber just won back a few fans at SHEmazing! Towers with this latest interview.

The singer hasn't exactly been on his best behaviour over the last couple of years, letting his career (and his relationship with Selena Gomez) fall by the wayside in favour of partying.

Now though, he seems determined to get himself back on track in some way, and he's starting by reaching out to his fans.

Biebs followed on from Mariah Carey, Jennifer Hudson and more by driving shotgun with US Late Late Show host James Corden in a new clip which aired last night, and we have to admit, he kinda won us over.

As well as some downright incredible lip syncing to Baby and Where Are U Now, Justin answered a few very important questions, such as how often he makes love to his own music (never), if he throws out his underwear after one wear (yes) and if he really can solve a Rubik's Cube in under two minutes (HELL yes).

The 21-year-old even played down the success of his record-breaking hit Baby, telling James, "It’s got the most dislikes on the internet."

James himself seemed to have warmed to the singer in a big way, taking to Twitter to tell fans how "incredible" Justin was:

A few more interviews like this and we reckon Biebs will surely have his fans back on side.

Former Irish rugby pro Ronan O'Gara was forced to publicly apologise today after making an unfortunate remark on Friday night's Late Late Show.

When asked by host Ryan Tubridy whether his proudest achievement was having had five kids under the ages of six with his wife Jessica, or scoring 2,625 points for Munster during his playing career, the sports star answered, "I wouldn't be nervous getting up on Jessica but I would be nervous kicking a ball."

Cue gasps from Ryan and raucous laughter from the audience, with Ronan trying to calm things down by referring to Jessica as "a champion of a wife."

While it definitely made for great TV, it seems Ronan's wife Jessica wasn't too happy about the whole thing!

Ronan took to Twitter today to apologise for any offence he had caused and to let followers know he had smoothed things over with his wife, writing, "Back home in Paris. I have apologised to @jessieog and i'm also sorry if i offended anyone else with my very poor joke on @RTELateLateShow."

Bet there was some serious grovelling done over the weekend!

Finally something interesting happens on The Late Late Show!

Things nearly ended in a physical fight during last night’s Eurosong competition between Louis Walsh, Linda Martin and Aslan’s Billy McGuinness.

After Billy called the competition a fix due to Louis’ association with two of the acts, Linda marched into the audience to confront the Aslan musician and things got so heated, Tubridy was forced to step in between them.

You have to watch it.
