It's been barely a month since Hollywood's golden couple Kermit The Frog and Miss Piggy shocked us all with news of their split… and it seems the Green Machine has already found a new lady.

The above incriminating picture made its way online today via The Muppets official Twitter account, who tweeted to say, "Kermit definitely has a thing for pigs."

So what do we know about Kermit's rumoured new flame so far? Well, her name is Denise, she works for ABC, and she seems kinda… basic. At least Twitter seems to think so:

While we kinda think Denise has a Kardashian look going on, others have been comparing her to a certain English actress:

Yup, we can totally see that.

It's definitely waaaay too soon for Kermit to be moving on in our opinion, but it seems he's not the only one. His ex Miss Piggy was pictured yesterday with a VERY familiar beau by her side:

Miley's ex Liam Hemsworth joined Instagram this week, and so far this is his only photo. Seems like Miss Piggy's already got him doing her dirty work…

First Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, then Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards… we're not sure we can take any more celebrity splits today, and so we were devastated to find out yet another relationship had ended.

We hate to be the bearer of bad news, folks, but it looks like Kermit The Frog and Miss Piggy are no more. The iconic animal couple took to social media (of course) today to post an update that left us all in shock. 

"Here is the official statement on @KermitTheFrog and moi's relationship termination," wrote the world's most glam pig earlier this evening. Kermit also tweeted the same statement.

The puppet pair said they had made the "difficult decision" to end their relationship, which spans decades, after "careful though, thoughtful consideration and considerable squabbling."

Sadly for their fans, Kermit and Piggy confirmed they would now be "seeing other people, pigs, frogs, et al."

IS NOTHING SACRED?!

While we are understandably broken by this sad news, it's worth noting that a new ABC mockumentary series about The Muppets premieres this fall… so the whole thing could very likely be a big publicity stunt.

We wish we could say the same for Zayn and Perrie's split…

The Jim Henson Company has announced the tragic death of John Henson, son to Muppets creator, Jim.

John, who was a board member of The Jim Henson Company, died suddenly of a heart attack after building an igloo in the snow with his daughter.

The company’s statement read: “It is with great sadness that we confirm that John Henson, son of Jim and Jane Henson and brother to Lisa, Cheryl, Brian and Heather, died at age 48 of a sudden massive heart attack on Friday, February 14, while at home with his daughter.”

John followed in is his father’s footsteps and was also a puppeteer for the company, working on a number of Muppets projects, including Muppet Treasure Island.

Our thoughts are with the Henson family.
