First rumours spread, that Katy was spotted kissing Robert Pattinson at the Coachella Music Festival.

Then, she went onto say that she was single and was looking for a partner, on Tinder.

Now, apparently if rumours are correct, Katy Perry is currently dating bad boy, DJ. Diplo.

The 29-year-old singer was spotted getting close with the music producer over dinner in New York, last Thursday.

A close source and onlooker said that both Katy and Diplo were all over each other.

“Diplo and Katy were super affectionate. It’s a really fun relationship for them both, easy and casual.”

They were originally spotted together at the Coachella festival but, this was quickly overshadowed by that Robert and Katy kiss rumour.

One thing is for sure, Katy knows how to keep us guessing.

Despite rumours popping up in the last few days that Robert Pattinson and Katy Perry were caught smooching at the Coachella festival.

Katy Perry has confirmed that she is still single and often spends a lot of her time on the dating app, Tinder.

The signer was questioned on her single status whilst out promoting her new single, Birthday. She said she was addicted to the dating app, as she doesn’t have a lot of time to meet new guys.

“Uh, yes I am, hello. I’m really deep on Tinder so I don’t have a whole lot of time.”

The 29-year-old singer spilt with her previous boyfriend John Mayer, last February and is said to be happy with her new single status.

Tinder, Snapchat, Plenty of Fish – wherever you try to find your potential new squeeze, there are certain similar characteristics that these platforms hold. We’ve become a society that has accepted online dating, snapchatting strangers and swiping left or right based on first physical impressions. We retain our romantic hopes, but the reality is much less enchanting.

Situation: Saying hi

Expectation: This will get the budding relationship off to the perfect start.

Reality: Very likely you’re going to get a penis pic in return – BOOM there it is.

Situation: Receiving messages

Expectation – Depending on what speed you want things to progress there can be different expectations. Maybe you’ll want cute messages, flirty messages or maybe a conversation in which he reveals his hopes and dreams. Whichever you’re looking for, you want his messages to show he’s interested in you.

Reality: He’ll slip up somewhere along the line, answering a question you haven’t asked therefore shooting himself in the foot and confirming he’s chatting at least one other person someone, but probably more, the cyber slut.

Situation: Arranging dates

Expectation: You will both have similar interests and the venue you both choose is your dream date destination.

Reality: There will be no date. He just wants to sit at home, get a few nudey pics from you and mess around with himself….that perv!

Situation: Meeting in person for the first time

Expectation: You will meet up in a neutral (dream date destination) place and he will be even better looking and kind in person.

Reality: His pictures were taken three years ago while he was in the best shape of his life. Now, however, he is an overweight 30-something, dressed head to toe in a Manchester United kit. His hairline has also receded 3 inches from what it was in the pictures. Basically, he’s Wayne Rooney without the money.

Situation: Rejection

Expectation: It doesn’t bother you that much and you move onto the next one..

Reality: It bothers you a little, but then you quickly get over it and move onto the next one.

The chances of coming across your celebrity crush on Tinder have just seriously increased.

Tinder are set to introduce a verification for celebrities so you can decipher the real accounts from the fakes – yay!

It seems as if celebrities have it harder than we think in finding romance.

Tinder CEO Sean Rad has said that the verification for celebrities is to combat fake profiles that are so often made for high-profile stars.

As a Facebook account is needed to use Tinder, this poses another obstacle for famous faces as many use aliases or simply don’t use it at all.

Rad says this is being dealt with and that a famous person will be able to change his/her Tinder name as well as preserving their Facebook privacy.

Now, it’s time to swipe until we find Bradley Cooper.

New dating app to judge on personality rather than looks

Revealr, the new dating app, aims to find people dates without the superficial use of photos.

Instead, the app will allow potential dates to hear a 20-second clip of one another’s voice to determine if they may be compatible.

One of the creators, Guy Harrington, has said that the idea came to him after a disastrous date he went on through Tinder: “One morning, after a Tinder date, my flat mate Paul and I were sat hungover in our underpants and thought, why don’t we do a blind date style app not based on looks but on the voice which shows their personality? That’s how Revealr was born.”
