Tommy Bowe is all set for presenting role on RTÉ travel series
Tommy Bowe is headed to our television screens, but this time there won't be a rugby ball in sight.
The rugby star, turned fashion designer has been offered a role on the presenting team of RTÉ One's travel programme Getaways, while he recovers from the ankle injury sustained during this year's Six Nations.
Speaking to the Irish Independent Tommy said, "I’m very excited to be part of the Getaways team this year."
"I was disappointed after my injury in the Six Nations but this gives me an opportunity to explore another avenue while preparing myself for next season. Being a part of a great series like Getaways is a dream come true for me and I’m looking forward to the new challenge."
The Ulster man will join presenters, Joe Lindsay, Mairead Ronan and Vogue Williams, as they travel to exotic locations that are easily accessible to Irish holiday-makers.
New dad, Tommy will travel to Ibiza, with aims of revealing a calmer, more family orientated side to the island.
The series will include a host of gorgeous destinations, including the French Riviera and New York as well as locations closer to home.
Getaways is set to air in early 2018 and we can't wait to see Tommy gets on in his new role.
