tour

I’ve been a Taylor Swift fan since my early teens so when I found out I was going to her Dublin show on the Reputation tour I was overjoyed. I couldn’t help but shed a few happy tears.

I know she isn’t everyone's cup of tea, some people find her fake, others think her music is cringey, but one thing you must applaud her for is how she opened up about being a victim of sexual assault.

August 14 marked the one year anniversary of the day the jury sided in the singer’s favour in her case against former radio host David Mueller.

As she looked out at a crowd of loving fans, Taylor opened up about the trial: “A year ago I was not playing in a stadium in Tampa, I was in a courtroom in Denver, Colorado. This is the day the jury sided in my favor and said that they believed me.”

The Delicate singer welled up as she spoke about all of the victims who were ignored and pushed aside. The ones who weren’t taken seriously. The ones who weren’t listened to.

“I just think about all the people that weren’t believed and the people who haven’t been believed, and the people who are afraid to speak up because they think they won’t be believed,” Taylor said.

“I just wanted to say I’m sorry to anyone who ever wasn’t believed because I don’t know what turn my life would have taken if somebody didn’t believe me when I said something had happened to me.”

The You Belong With Me continued: "I just wanted to say we have so much further to go, and I’m so grateful to you guys for being there for me for what was really a horrible part of my life.”

Taylor thanked her fans for seeing her through all the good times- the number one songs, the sold out tours and the awards- and the bad times- the breakups, the online abuse and the groping trial.

She addressed the crowd: “I wanted to say that I’m so happy to see you and to have you and know you through the ups and the downs in my life.”

The singer struggled to hold back her tears during the moving speech: “Sorry I just haven’t really talked about it, and so I’m just not composed at all.”

Following the Look What You Made Me Do singer's tear-jerking speech, fans held up $1 notes to support Taylor and survivors of sexual abuse.

Reasons like this remind me of why I have adored the Call It What You Want singer since I was a teenager. Sure, you may not enjoy her music, but her courage is something we should all appreciate.

Before Beyoncé began slaying it on the stage, there was the iconic voice and moves of Aretha Franklin.

The whole world has been holding their breath since the legendary singer fell “gravely ill.”

The 76-year-old was recently put in hospice care at her home, surrounded by family and loved ones.

Beyoncé, as one of the singer’s biggest fans, has been especially affected by the news.

While on tour with her husband Jay-Z, they performed in the Queen of Soul’s hometown of Detroit, Michigan.

Surrounded by so much love for the iconic singer, Beyoncé had to take a moment to recognise the tragic situation.

She dedicated her performance on Monday to Aretha Franklin, and the crowd responded with a roar of applause in tribute.

“We love you,” the young artist spoke for Aretha fans everywhere.

Beyoncé also thanked the soulful singer for her “beautiful music”, reported Detroit Free Press.

There were over 40,000 people present at the concert in Ford Field, and they all cheered along as DJ Khaled played “Respect” at the beginning of the performance.

The Press also pointed out that Ford Field is just down the street from Aretha Franklin Way, which was dedicated to the legendary singer just last summer.

The heartwarming tribute acted as a “passing of the torch” from one generation of singers to the next.

However, no one will ever compare to the “Natural Woman” that has carved the way for African-American, female singers everywhere.

Other celebrities continue to pour out their love and prayers for the ailing artist.

Mariah Carey recently tweeted: “Praying for the Queen of Soul” with a classic photo of the singer.

Missy Elliot also urged fans: “We MUST CELEBRATE the Living Legends while they are here to see it.”

We continue to wait for news of Aretha’s condition, but we are happy that she has her family beside her and overwhelming support from her fans during this difficult time.

We were looking forward to seeing Cardi B's money moves on stage this year.

Unfortunately, Cardi's fabulousness will have to stay at home with her new baby girl. The rapper announced that she will no longer be joining Bruno Mars on tour this fall.

The rap sensation posted her decision on Instagram, saying that she ‘underestimated this whole mommy thing.’

Cardi welcomed her new baby girl, Kulture Kiari Cephus, into the world on July 11th.

But the new mum has not had an easy experience so far. Just last week, her husband, Offset, was arrested in Atlanta, Georgia.

He was charged with four crimes: possession of a firearm, possession of an ounce or less of marijuana, possession of weapon during a crime and an improper lane change, according to E News.

He was soon released on bail and returned home to his family.

Cardi thought that she would be able to handle all of this and after six weeks be able to join Bruno on the 24k Magic tour.

However, this mama has decided to put her child first in her decision.

‘Not only am I not ready physically, I’m not ready to leave my baby behind, since the doctors explained it’s not healthy for her to be on the road,’ she went on.

This is the rap star’s first baby, and fans are already commending her for her decision.

One fan commented, ‘I don’t think anyone will be judge you for this decision your doing wats best for you and your baby that’s wat is moms do.’

Bruno has also stood behind her choice to stay behind with baby Kulture: 'Most important thing is for you and your family's health. I know the fans will understand.

A post shared by Bruno Mars (@brunomars) on

‘You are absolutely doing the right thing. […] Please give your baby girl a hug from me.” He posted his response on his own Instagram page.

Cardi said that this ‘decision has been the hardest to make’, but she hopes fans will understand that she needs to do what’s best for her and her baby.

Bruno still wants to share the stage with Cardi some time in the future, but right now she believes that she has made the best decision for her family at this time.

After a quarter of a century of Boyzone, the lads are closing this particular chapter in their lives.

The boy band, made up of Keith Duffy, Michael Graham, Ronan Keating, and Shane Lynch, just announced their final album and farewell tour.

"When we started out as five young Dublin Northsiders, eager to face the world, we never imagined that we'd still have an army of fans some 25 years later… If you'd seen our famous first TV appearance on The Late Late Show, you'd probably be surprised too!" they wrote in a statement on their website.

Boyzone has released six albums, and the members say their musical career has been 'the stuff of dreams'.

A post shared by Boyzone (@boyzoneofficial) on

"We really can't put into words just how much you, the fans, have supported us along the way. Without that support, we would have never achieved what we have, and for that we're eternally grateful," they shared.

The four men also paid tribute to late Boyzone member Stephen Gately in the statement. He died at the age of 33 from pulmonary oedema, or fluid accumulation in the lungs.

"We were immensely touched by all the tributes and messages of support that helped us through the dark days," the band members wrote, "Stephen was our brother and will always be at the very the heart of Boyzone."

A post shared by Boyzone (@boyzoneofficial) on

The four remaining members of Boyzone expressed that they feel they've outgrown their boy band days.

"We're certainly not boys anymore, and we all feel that we should now call time on our lives together as Boyzone and go out on a real high," they noted.

The band will be embarking on a farewell tour this winter, with a show in Belfast's SSE Arena on January 23 and another in Dublin's 3Arena on January 24, as well as gigs throughout the UK.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, June 22 at 9am.

Their last album is entitled 'Thank You & Goodnight', and it'll be out this November with a dozen new tracks, including one dedicated to Stephen:

"We're especially excited to share a very special tribute to Stephen in the shape of a new song, 'I Can Dream.'

"We came across a demo that he originally recorded for his solo album in 2002 and we've had the opportunity to re-work the song and add our harmonies alongside his lead vocal.

"It was a bittersweet experience to hear all our voices together again. It's the closest the five of us will ever get to being in a room together again making music."

They added, "We know this love's forever. That's all that matters, no matter what…"

Brian McFadden might be joining Boyzone… and we're not quite sure how we feel about it.

Brian travelled with Boyzone's Keith Duffy for the majority of this year, where they mashed up the music of Boyzone and Westlife to create er, Boyzlife.

The lads performed in hotels around Ireland and the UK, but now that Boyzone is embarking on its 20th anniversary tour, the lads will be playing to a much bigger audience.

At first, it looked like Brian would be the supporting act for Ronan, Mikey, Shane and Keith, but Shane Lynch has hinted that Brian might play a much bigger part in the tour.

He told The Irish Sun: "There's a possibility of Brian joining us.

"He's doing the whole tour on a support but there is no point in him hanging around.

"I'd like to bring him on stage for a couple of songs with the boys," he added.
