With Kylie Jenner selling out lipkits like there’s no tomorrow, it’s pretty obvious lips are the one facial feature which still dominates all others.

The Power of Make-Up trend, which tries to combat the stigma of girls wearing make-up started last year and it still continues on social media today.

The trend saw girls only applying make-up to half of their face, to try stop the shaming of women who like to wear lipstick, mascara and blusher.

One woman, Kelsie Swygart, wanted to combat the issue but also had another reason for posting the selfie.

I DON'T WEAR THIS MUCH MAKEUP EVER. I just did this for the sake of the challenge. Most days I don't wear any makeup at all unless I'm at work and even then it's just brows, liner & mascara. For everyone saying "Too much" or "Too dramatic" etc. can suck eggs. Even if I did this full glam look every day, it would be nobody's concern but my own. I do feel beautiful with or without makeup. This challenge was so freaking fun and I will be doing it again sometime soon! Thank you everyone for your kind and supporting comments! FOR EVERYONE ASKING WHAT MAKEUP I USE: FemmeCoture concealer, foundation and powders. #thepowerofmakeup #makeupofinstagram #mua #brows #lips #contour #highlight #anastasiabeverlyhills #mac #nyx #jeffreestarcosmetics #beauty #gorgeous #fullcoverage #nakedface #beforeandafter #bluehair #hairofinstagram #cutcrease #matte #motd #hotd #nailtech #makeup #freckles #thepowerofmakeupchallenge @nikkietutorials @thepowerofmakeupchallenge #femmecoture

Fair play, we think that every woman has the right to wear and do what she wants to.

God be with the days we used to think we were cool rocking an Abercrombie tee, denim skirt and Ugg boots with streaky fake tan and ironed (literally) hair.

We never thought any of those things would ever come back into fashion, but alas, we were wrong and the denim skirt is living on.

But before you turn your nose up at the recent comeback, just take a look at Bella Hadid rocking it with with a simple black cami and suave patent black boots.

The model was heading out for a spot of shopping in NYC and now we can't wait to slip back into our old denims.

All we need now is the Givenchy bag and model pins.

It has been known for centuries that Japanese women have been washing their hair with rice water – yes, actual water they boiled their rice in – to stimulate growth and keep it strong and conditioned.

Many bloggers and hair stylists have made the DIY treatment, hailed the 'hair water' trend – but if you're lazy (like us) then a new brand has just made a version of it called Rice Water Hair Milk.

The all-natural skin and hair care brand Ash & Nectar, (which is sold on Etsy) came up with the formula which includes real rice water, rosemary for penetrating hair strands, lavender for conditioning and argan oil for treating split-ends.

Confused by how it works though? No worries, we'll lay it out for you.

First, wash and shampoo your hair as normal, then massage the rice water into your scalp and work your way down to the roots until it's fully covered.

Sit back and relax for 5 minutes to let the milk do its magic, and then rinse it out. Simple!

Honestly, who looks at the back of your neck? Most of the time it's either covered with your hair, a scarf (because Ireland is cold) or a jacket; so, do we really need to add ten minutes onto our already daunting beauty routine?

Well, some people think you do. A new trend covering Instagram lately is NECK contouring.

Beauty vlogger Makeup Wearables created this quick IG video to show you how to contour your neck.. if you want to bother.

She claims the beauty hack will work wonders if you're opting for an up-do hairstyle, but we rather have people looking at our hairstyle rather than our necks.

It looks a little messy for us, considering you can't actually SEE what you're doing, but hey ladies, whatever floats your boat.

Chanel debuted it's SS 16 Haute Couture collection in Paris earlier this week and it involved Star Wars galactic style ensembles, intense liquid liner and one adorable front row pooch.

While Cara Delevingne's doggy was everything (literally everything), the beauty talking point of the show was most definitely the accurately named 'croissant bun' which was sported by all the models in the show including Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner.

A cross between Princess Leia quirkiness and up-do chic, this hairstyle is unique, wearable and most importantly easy to achieve.

As coined by top hair stylist Sam McKnight who would not stop tweeting about his '#chanelcroissant', the look was achieved using foam wires twisted into the desired pastry-inspired shape.

"The inspiration was a Picasso sculpture which Karl showed me, with shaped hair in the back," Sam explained to Vogue.

"My team spent three days making 80 large croissant shapes from wired foam covered in human hair, to match the hair colour of each model. We then spent two days at Chanel before the show, fitting the pieces on each of the 65 models."

While croissant shaped foam buns do not seem to be readily available in shops just yet, we reckon a pretty similar look can be achieved using a DIY rolled up sock! (Bear with us).

Make like most of the internet and instead of rolling the sock into a donut shape like so many before us, roll it up so that it is thicker in the middle and skinnier at the ends. Secure the shape with elastic bands.

Next, part the hair down the middle and pull straight hair into a low pony-tail. Then add your croissant shaped bun to the nape of the neck and roll the hair in the ponytail around it. Secure with bobby pins.

We will most definitely be giving this elegant, edgy look a whirl.

If you do not already have a fabulous array of knitwear, you seriously need to get on that.

And if you do have a wondrous wardrobe full of jumpers, you probably need more because this may be the one benefit we have of living in the horrendously cold Irish climate.

So let us get you all wrapped up for the festive season by getting styling tips from our fave celebs.

1. Layer up

We know it's cold, so don't be afraid to layer up your knits and coats until you are completely weather proof.

Layering is super stylish so pair a large knit roll neck jumper which a suede or sheepskin coat and even top it off with a scarf and hat.

You will look cosy AND stylish. It's a win win!

2. Keep it casual

A nice oversized jumper looks great over a pair of distressed jeans and chelsea boots.

This look is super casual but still fashionable. Throw on a pair of cat eye sunnies à la Alexa for added cool.

3. Dress it up

Jumpers and knits don't necessarily mean casual and slouchy.

Pair a thinner knit or cropped jumper with high waisted palazzo pants or a pencil skirt for office chic. Throw on a pair of court shoes or pointed pumps to finish the look.

Designer clutch bag: optional.

4. Do it slouchy

We love that a jumper can look both super casual and put together. Make like the Olsen twins and go up a few sizes when purchasing your next jumper.

Add a pair of skinny cropped trousers and throw your hair up into a bun for that off duty chic look.

5. Cover up that neck

Ward off any unwanted throat infections with a turtle neck or roll neck piece.

Very popular this season, you will be grateful for this trend come the end of winter.

6. Get festive

Too cool for a Christmas jumper? Well, you shouldn't be.

Christmas jumpers don't have to be covered in snowmen or reindeer with protruding bobbles.

Keep an eye out for more tasteful patterns for a cute and kitsch take on the festive season.

7. Go for the cardi

Got too many nice tops to hide under a big jumper? Try find the perfect cardigan instead.

Waterfall shapes are very much on trend and add elegance to any casual outfit.

It's just a box shaped bag but it is taking fashionistas around the world by storm.

Not only have they been commonplace on the catwalks from spring/summer right through to winter but Alexa Chung has a Dolce & Gabbana one that she literally wears to death.

These quirky little accessories can add a vintage and eclectic vibe to any look and the real bonus is that they translate easily from day to night.

For a grown up night-time outfit, pair your box bag with a tailored silhouette or any throwback piece for that matter. For added cuteness, make like Suki Waterhouse and match that lippie to your box bag.

For a more formal casual look, try a softer shaped box bag with a strap and pair with a fitted blazer. Taylor Swift knows what's up.

Or make like Alexa and opt for the ultimate in casual cool.

Wear your box bag with distressed denim, a slouchy jumper or printed T-shirt and finish with a pair of trainers. Perfecto.

Think INSIDE the box, with these bad boys:

JD Williams Box Clutch, €49.99, jdwilliams.co.uk
Penneys PU Mono Body Bag, €11

It's perhaps the most divisive fashion trend of the season – the slip dress.

Wearing lingerie as outerwear has definitely emerged in fashion as a totally appropriate way to dress yourself (and we have all definitely been tempted by a lace bralet or two), but the satin slip dress leaves very little to the imagination.

So how do you strike the perfect balance between night time chic and a good night's sleep?

Here's how to get it right.

1. Find the perfect fit

We all know that the slip dress is supposed to be slinky, but you want it to skim your curves, not cling to them in the wrong places.

Focus on finding a slip that fits well around the bust and that you feel comfortable in. Too big and you will be swamped, too small and you will definitely be susceptible to a nip slip.

2. Choose the right outerwear

Did we mention that Rihanna lives for a slip dress? From backless gold numbers to slinky floor length pieces, she can't get enough.

Amp up the glamour by adding a boyfriend blazer, a sequined crop jacket or if you are feeling particularly brave, throw on your best fur coat.

3. All about the shine

Play up the satin quality of your slip dress by choosing a metallic gold, silver or bronze tone.

4. Accessorise

If you feel a slip dress would make you look tent like rather than the goddess that you are, try out a belt to cinch the waist.

Team your dress with a pair of strappy stilettos and some decadent jewellery to really add a touch of glamour.

5. Confidence, confidence, confidence

If you are pulling off that slip dress like it's no ones business, then we commend you because this is definitely not the easiest trend of the season. Hold your head high and work it, girl.

We've seen celebrities wear t-shirts featuring famous supermodels, and other stars even wear clothes that show off their significant others, but it takes a real star to wear herself on her clothes.

That's what Taylor Swift did in her latest outfit choice. Yep, the singer wore an ensemble that spelled out her own name.

The one-piece (which actually looks like a three-piece) consisted of the aforementioned top, a waist-tied shirt and a skirt – and it's from her own collection for Heritage66.

But Ms Swift is no stranger to promoting herself on her clothes and here are five times that prove it:

The Taylor Swift x 13 ring

The Swift necklace

The Tay Tay hoodie

The Swift jersey

And even a jumper with her face knitted on it
