Irish weather isn't always predictable. The majority of the time, the weather forecaster doesn't even know whether it's going to be scorching or snowing. 

But seriously, we REALLY want a bit of summer now, it's gone beyond a joke. We had a few days in June that were extremely promising and got our hopes up for a great summer, but that was short lived. 

We literally couldn't believe our eyes when we woke up this morning and looked out the window to what seems like a morning in December, does this mean we have to wear a jacket? We are not ok with this!

Some people took to Twitter to express their distain and it has resulted in the hashtag #IrishWeather, trending all over the country. 

People are referring to today as Christmas in July, and we certainly agree…

Some people just want July to stop fooling around and come back to us already..  

Others are taking the 'if you ignore it, it will go away' approach..  

But there are still those who are holding out hope.. We're with ya..

Twitter was all a flutter yesterday when the hashtag #singlebecause started trending in Ireland.

To be honest, some of the reasons people come up with for their relationship status are hilarious at the best of times, but yesterday Irish Twitter users really pulled out all the stops.

While some people would rather pretend they have bird flu than explain to their granny one more time why they didn’t bring an S.O to the family BBQ, others were more than happy to explain their single status with the world.

So we read them, and we rounded up just a few of our favourites. It was pretty difficult to narrow these down, there were some absolute gems.

Released late this afternoon, Caitlyn Jenner's stunning Vanity Fair cover quickly set the internet alight, trending in Ireland and worldwide. 

Indeed, Guinness World Records announced this evening that the former Olympian's new Twitter handle, @CaitlynJenner, had reached 1m followers faster than any other account: it took her just 4hours and 3minutes to notch up the seven-figure tally.

And some very famous faces were also quick to react, taking to their online profiles to praise the reality TV star.

We love flowers and we love beards, now we can have them together – the best of both worlds, we think.

Flower beards are starting to grow in popularity and we have blogger Pierre Thiot to thank for the latest social media trend – although it was far from flowers he started.

Thiot started his Tumblr project Will It Beard last March, which involved him putting things like Lego, slinkies, straws and Little Green Men into his beard and taking pictures of them – as you do. He then snapped some flowers in his facial hair and, well, what happened after is pretty obvious – the whole world wanted a bit of the flower action.

Images of men with flowers in their beards have cropped up everywhere, Instagram is literally covered in them.

We wear flowers in our hair so why can’t men wear them in their beard?

They are impressive and at least they’ll smell nice, right?

Rob Kardashian has hit back at trending ‘fat’ jibes aimed at his weight gain.

And his big sister Khloe is with him every step of the way!

Rob made a rare appearance at an LA airport on Sunday to fly out to Paris for sister Kim’s wedding – and his name has been trending on Twitter ever since.

But for all the wrong reasons!

Twitter trolls have posted countless nasty comments about the reality TV star’s appearance, with some saying he should be “ashamed” of the way he looks.

“so i found out i was trending for being fat… thank you all it really made my day :)” Rob tweeted.

He continued, “first, i don’t believe in rehab or therapy or anything of that sort and second I’m a grown man and will work on myself when i choose

“I’m aware that I’m fat that def aint a surprise to me lol and my only therapy will be in the gym anyways had to say somethingggggggggg,” he wrote.

Never one to mince her words, protective sister Khloe took to Twitter to defend her little brother.

“You should be ashamed of yourself. Your words are cutting deeper than you know and are possible (sic) leaving lifetime scars!” she wrote.

“What shallow souls you are…Grow up!” she added.

The 27-year-old’s weight gain has skyrocketed to a reported 260 pounds, with momager Kris Jenner pleading with her son to get help after doctors told him he was at high risk of developing diabetes and eventual organ failure.

Let’s hope Rob finally gets the help he needs!
