Now first of all, we ain't here to promote keyboard warriors or viciously cruel groups online who tear people down for the craic. No, that's not our style.

However, the art of trolling must be respected at all costs, especially from a nation as sarcastic and exceptional at 'slagging' such as Ireland.

From Waterford Whisperers embodying the Ultimate Irish Trolling Association, to the current troll of the day; the egg that stole Kylie Jenner's record for most likes on an Instagram photos, here's a round-up of our favourite savage moments in pop culture.

Ready yourself for wigs being hilariously snatched and thrown into the wind, it's a bumpy ride of burns and teasing gone too far.

1. Waterford Whisperers trolling Westlife's new song, Hello My Love:

The vast majority of people were ECSTATIC when Westlife announced their comeback; their Twenty Tour sold 400,000 tickets in under 48 hours for God's sake.

Not everyone was over the moon about Ireland's premier boyband reuniting however, with Waterford Whisperers delivering a vicious burn that has us in stitches.

"Helplines are now fielding calls from thousands of stricken people after the release of the first new Westlife single in over eight years," the article states.

"Penned by Ed Sheeran for maximum disruption, the track caused nausea, hysterics and uncontrollable weeping for one in every seven listeners, and emergency call centres have stated that they are receiving one call every nine seconds which consists solely of someone screaming “fuuuuuuuuuck”."

As savage as it is towards the national heroes we call Westlife, we were laughing for a solid twenty minutes at this one.

2. Lovinkiara's artistic flare

If you haven't seen last year's Twitter thread that featured @lovinkiara taking drawing requests, and delivering some…interest…results, you've missed out.

She became somewhat of a hero among trolls after uploaded a tweet that supposedly depicted her talanted artistic capabilities:

The cartoon styles seem pretty legit, in all fairness. What came next had the internet shooketh, the woman isn't exactly Leo DaVinci:

They just get more and more amusing the longer you stare at them:

At this stage we were in tears:

Okay, we had to stop reading the tweets after this one because our vision blurred at how utterly terrible the cartoons are:

Iconic trolling Kiara, carry on dear daughter of the troll.

3. Justin Bieber heads to…North Korea?!

A website asked its users to choose the next country which Justin Bieber would visit on his My World tour, and the answer wasn't exactly conventional. Let's just say he wasn't rushing to grab his passport anytime soon…

Yup, the Biebs himself (babyface Biebs at that stage in his career… and arguably in his current stage too…) was instructed to visit NORTH KOREA.

What's even more amusing/horrifying, North Korea received an insane 659,448 votes. Dear God, that's the size of a country. It's more than the population of Iceland, let that sink in…

4. M Night School Hoax

M. Night Shyamalan is a relatively renowned film director, known for creating iconic scary movies such as The Sixth Sense, The Happening, Split, The Last Airbender, Signs and The Village.

While many claim that his films are hit-and-miss, with some achieving critical acclaim and box office success, others have royally bombed. Someone eventually took it upon themselves to crowdfund to send him back to film school.

Named The M. Night School, the creator worked out that if 150,000 people donated one dollar each, they could donate enough cash for the director to be put through film school once again at NYU.

The ruthless trolling of the director rages on today… who knows if he's become immune to it at this stage or if he cries himself to sleep every M. Night?

5. Ed Sheeran's head of security

@SecurityKev became a smash hit star as Ed Sheeran's GAS head of security, and who even got the catchphrase; "Always. Watching" for his consistent background lurking.

It's iconic, he even calls Ed 'bae', throwing in a 'Who's the Daddy' at the most random of moments. His internet fame has earned him a huge 963,000 Instagram followers who watch his every move, ironically;

"When bae takes you shopping #burberry", he captioned this next one. He only went and won Instagram, didn't he?

Celebrity cameos are also constantly featured on the account, including from Calvin Harris, Shawn Mendes and James Blunt. We're cackling.

He even went and trolled Ed's Perfect video, and we can't top it. We desperately tried to lower ourselves to this level of troll, but it's just not possible:

6. Ryan Reynolds being Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively being Blake Lively

Words aren't even needed for his hilarious "Happy Birthday to my amazing wife" post. It's piping hot tea. Consider us scalded.

7. Trisha Paytas being the Queen of Trolls day-in and day-out

The woman is relentless. It never ends.

The YouTube star has been around since 2010, and has acquired over 4.5 MILLION subscribers, specifically to witness her troll the hell out of everyone.

Her shallow personality has us hooked, we're full-blown addicts at this stage. God knows how or why. We don't question it.

There you have it, the greatest trolling moments on the 'net we can find.

They're petty, they're absurd, they're glorious. Art just doesn't get much better than this.

Keep them coming, we LIVE for this sprinkling of bitter, bitter salt.

Fulfilling the wishes of a deceased family member is something we'd all endeavour to do if the situation arose, and Antonia Nicol's father was no different.

Following the death of his wife, Phedre Fitton, in 2013, Antonia's dad was under strict instructions to tend to her house plants – a task he took very seriously.

However, Antonia's poor dad was utterly oblivious to the fact that his late wife was busy trolling him from beyond the grave.

Taking to Twitter to share her late mum's sense of humour with the public, Antonia wrote: "Before my mum passed away, she gave my dad strict instructions to water the plants in the bathroom. He's been religiously watering them & keeping them alive."

But all wasn't as it seemed as Antonia revealed in the rest of her post, which  has been liked more than 100,000 in just two days.

"They look so amazing he decided to take them to his new home, only to discover they are plastic! Can hear my mum chuckling," she finished.

The tweet has struck a chord with thousands of people worldwide who recognised their own family members in Phedre's prank.

"There's something deeply human about it too," wrote one Twitter user. "I looked after my mum up to her passing and our humour was often jet black. Too easy to forget it. Thanks for sharing!"

"I lost my lovely mum last year, she was 85. But she would've loved that joke; my mum like yours had a wicked sense of humour," added another.

Antonia's parents were together since their teens.

Social media can be a cruel place.

For the most part, online communities are filled with encouraging words and positive vibes, but as we know, hateful and nasty comments still filter through.

Sure, you could brush them off, or even compose a well thought out response, but deep down you know neither of these options will ever provide the sweet, sweet revenge you're really after – but cake might!

Troll Cakes, a innovative New York bakery, is turning its customers' cruel hate comments into delicious cakes and hand delivering them to their bully's door – so they can quite literally, eat their own words.

Founded by Kat Thek, the self-taught baker was inspried to start the business after seeing a mean comment on Dolly Parton's Facebook page.

“You can’t take a troll seriously,” she told Pix11.

“It’s just an idiot who said something and if somebody wants to yell ‘I’m a huge idiot’ I think it’s our duty to let them do that and put it on a cake and make them see how it looks.”

Earlier this week, Donald Trump travelled to Paris where he met with French President, Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte.

After sharing a handshake with France's first lady, Trump began to compliment her “physical shape” and things got really awkward

"You're in such good shape. She's in such good physical shape. Beautiful," Trump said.

Of course, the inappropriate comments sparked a huge amount of backlash online, with Reebok even stepping in to school the President on how to speak to women.

The sportswear brand compiled a simple guide to help Trump realise the appropriate time to tell a woman: “You’re in such good shape… beautiful.”

As expected, the answer was never, except if you had just found “a forgotten action figure from your youth, unscathed after decades, in your parents’ basement”.

While Trump supporters denounced Reebok’s post, many Twitter users appreciated the sarcastic manner in which the company replied to the comments and the post has since received over 47,000 likes.

Vogue Williams has called out a troll on Facebook after she sent her a rather nasty message.

The DJ has had her fair share of online abuse, and decided that enough was enough.

After receiving a message that read, "Wh*re! Ashamed that your Irish you big sl*t," Vogue decided to name and shame her by posting the message to her own Facebook page.

"You're very easy to find on Facebook Eimear Conway. What a lovely way to conduct yourself sending people you don't know messages like this!

"I think it's time to get off Facebook and get back to your studies! It's you're not your babes….," she wrote.

Vogue was praised in the comments section of the post, with one fan saying, "Well done Vogue! Silly girl needs to go back to school to learn how to punctuate correctly. You're an inspiration to young girls, not a wh*re!"

While another user wrote, "Absolute vile words from a grown woman. Keep doing what you're doing Vogue (sic)."

We doubt she'll ever troll anyone again after that!

So, Professor Green trolled Instagram yesterday, and it looks like some of his fans and followers are struggling to see the logic behind this one.

In what appears to be a dig at the speculation which surrounds his burgeoning relationship with model Fae Williams, the British rapper decided to share a series of shots which suggested he had popped that all-important question.

Except he didn't, and apparently the joke is on us.

So, it all kicked off last night when good ol' Green shared a snap of some serious bling accompanied by the post: "Happy Valentine's Fae Williams."

Unsurprisingly, that was enough to set Insta off, but it didn't end there as the singer then shared a snap of Fae sporting the ring on her engagement finger.

With what appeared to be a reference to his former marriage to Millie Mackinstosh, he wrote: "Fingers crossed this time ay."

The post was flooded with congratulations from fans who had assumed the star had proposed to his new girlfriend.

"Congratulations to you both! She is a lucky lady! Wishing you all the luck in the world! You deserve it," wrote one.

Over the course of the next three hours, it seems Instagram was all over the news when Professor Green suddenly decided to swoop in and set the record straight.

Sharing a snap of himself rocking the ring on his baby finger, the rapper wrote: "Engaged to myself. Wait a minute, wrong finger."

And Instagram was left feeling a little shortchanged.

"You're being embarrassing now are you 5 or are you engaged?" wrote one follower while another added: "Respect has now dropped."

Thankfully for the Just Be Good to Green singer, some of his fans were on hand to help explain the apparent point of his posts.

"Can people not clearly see that @professorgreen has done this to get everyone talking about him and to make the press look like tossers?" remarked one.

Well, it definitely worked.

Cara Delevigne has been enjoying a slightly quieter life since she hung up her model it-girl boots to focus on her acting career.

With nine movies and countless modelling gigs under her belt, no one could ever accuse the star of being afraid of hard work.

Unless you're a troll on Twitter, that is.

Now celebrities don't usually respond to online haters, but Cara decided that one troll in particular had gone too far.

On a tweet where Cara expressed her excitement at her volunteering position in Uganda, a hater commented that the model "can't cash in on her eyebrows forever," and advised her to seek a "real job."

Cara clapped back, telling the troll that her volunteer work had absolutely nothing to do with her looks.

"You are just a another thirsty man who puts people down for attention on twitter and who thinks that looks are all that's important," retorted the model.

"I have no time no another man trying to tear down a woman for being successful."

*mic drop*

Cara also responded to him personally in a series of reply tweets, in which the hater asked Cara: "Do you not know who I am? I've had a very successful career I think I know what I'm talking about."

Errrrr, okay, if you say so. Cara explained that she didn't know who he was and that his unsolicited advice was less than appreciated.

"Well I am very famous so maybe you should update yourself on celeb culture. Anyway, I tried to help. Whatever," said the troll, who has 11,000 followers compared to Cara's 7.47 million.

The hater, named Brad "the Lad" Long, who claims to be a "media personality and showbiz journalist "who is "most famous for telling it like it is," did not relent his criticisms.

Cara then proceeded to ignore him while tweeting images of her volunteering experiences in Uganda.

You go girl.

For many women transitioning from adolescence to adulthood isn’t the most the most enjoyable experience.  On top of having to deal with real life struggles like money (or lack thereof) for the first time, your body can change in ways outside of your control.

As uncomfortable as this experience can be, there’s one obvious way it could be made a whole lot worse and that's by having the whole world scrutinize every aspect of your physical appearance as and when it changes.

Having made this transformation in the public eye, model Gigi Hadid is no stranger to bodyshamers.  But just because receiving criticism is an occupational hazard of hers, it doesn’t mean the Californian beauty is going to sit back and let the trolls walk all over her.

A photo posted by Gigi Hadid (@gigihadid) on

Gigi recently posted a bikini selfie to Instagram which inspired one troll to suggest that the 21-year-old has lost too much weight since she re-entered the modelling industry in 2011.

According to Elite Daily, the star was quick to shut down the bodyshamer in question as she fired back a lengthily comment.

Gigi wrote: “Bodies change as girls become women…Having my body judged over the span of the 4 teen-to-woman years has really shown me the human tendency to label and make uneducated judgement…I loved my body as a 17-year-old athlete and I love my body now.”

In the post the Tommy Hilfiger model acknowledged that she has lost “baby fat” but insisted that she has never intentionally changed her body.  She suggested instead that her weight loss is due to a combination of growing up, boxing training and work-related stress.

She finished by asking the author of the original comment to think about the women who may judge themselves as a result of reading online hate.

“Your comment won’t get me down, but next time, please think about the young women who may read body-judgement comments and judge themselves as they see their bodies growing and therefore naturally changing, too.”

Made in Chelsea star Lucy Watson is well known for her fiery personality, so it's little wonder one of her followers received a pretty frank message this week when they openly accused her of having an eating disorder.

On Monday the reality star posted a pretty standard picture of herself playing croquet on Instagram and it wasn't long before a troll came along to body-shame her.

The comment to which Lucy bluntly responded said: “Why is everyone pretending that this is ok? This girl obviously has an eating disorder. She's not "naturally skinny" because we've all watched her for years and she never looked like this. This is validating and publicizing an illness.”

Clearly not in the mood to let that one slide the 25-year-old vegan wrote: “Who are YOU to say I have an eating disorder? Do you think it's okay to publicly declare that someone else has an eating problem like its the ONLY possible way for me to be slim? Not that I maybe work out and eat a vegan diet.”

“But that because I am slim I MUST have an eating disorder. Do you really think that it is okay to try and make people think that? What lifestyle are you validating?”

“Just because you've watched me on tv, does NOT mean you know the ins and outs of my life.”

The MIC cast member’s fans were quick applaud her message and display of self-defence, with one user writing: “Being slim is not a synonym for having an eating disorder, and the two ought not to be automatically associated with one another. The latter term is being thrown around too loosely these days, it is a serious illness that requires diagnosis.”

While another said: “You are one of the most beautiful ladies I've seen, please ignore all the haters, women should aim to always empower each other, it's the greatest gift we have.”

This isn’t the first time the reality star has had to defend herself from bodyshamers.  Back in June Lucy ended up in a Twitter spat with Geordie Shore’s Marnie Simpson after Marnie wrote in her Star magazine column “Lucy Watson looks like a skeleton”.

Earlier this week Modern Family star Ariel Winter posted a picture from her high school graduation party to Instagram which garnered a whole host of reactions online – mainly because of her outfit of choice.

In the pic the teen star can be seen wearing a nude coloured bandage dress with a sizeable cut-out beneath her boobs, in a clear nod to the new underboob trend.

The post received a whole lot of abuse but thankfully this doesn’t seem to bother Ariel who took to Twitter last night to tell her haters where to go.

Couldn't be more grateful to @shanelle_gray & @davidbarrygray for throwing me the most amazing graduation party ever last night…the amount of love and support they've shown me for the past four years has been life changing. My sister is my absolute best friend and my everything… Thank you so much. I couldn't be luckier or more grateful. I was in awe last night and I still am that you guys love me that much to do all of that for me…I never would be where I am today without you two…you guys saved me and taught me to be the person I am today. Dad…I love you!!! Thank you for always being there to support and love me as well and always put a smile on my face no matter what :). I'm so grateful for the bond we now share. Alenah the song you put together with Shanelle and recorded for me was one of the most special gifts I've ever received. I'm still tearing up thinking about it. Thank you for that and for your beautiful, special performance. Also a big thank you so much to Geraldine for putting it all together and to @contemporarycatering @robpauerful for the most amazing food! A special thank you as well to Sharon who is probably the biggest reason I was able to get through high school and accepted into college…you pushed me to always do my best and encouraged me…not to mention you were always there for my 1am freak outs about late projects 🙂 Anddddd thank you SO MUCH to all of my amazing family members and friends that flew in to celebrate with us- you guys are the absolute best. Thank you also to the ones who didn't have to fly in…so much love was felt all around last night. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!! Class of 2016… #uclabound

A photo posted by Ariel Winter (@arielwinter) on

She wrote: “Dear sorry body-shamers, I looked HOT in that dress.  And if you hate it, don’t buy it.  But please get a hobby.  XOXO Ariel #EmbraceYourBody.”

The post was quickly followed by another tweet, this time with a picture of the actress posing in a mirror attached.

It was captioned: “Embrace all that you are.  Don’t let those outside voices become your inner voice.”

Again she chose body positive tags: #mychoice #loveyourcurves.

Ariel underwent breast reduction surgery earlier this year after suffering years of back pain.

At the time she told Glamour magazine she’s feeling better about herself than ever before and loves the freedom she has to dress however she wants.

And by the looks of those tweets, she’s not going to let anyone stop her from doing just that.

After Kanye's manic tweets about how he's in debt and he needs more money to share his creative genius with the world, one pizza chain want to bring him back down to earth.

Many fans were annoyed by his rambling since he's living in a multi-million dollar mansion, but Pizza Hut completely hit the nail on the head and offered Kanye a job:

Obviously Kanye didn't stop, so Pizza Hut didn't stop either. They proceeded to post a picture of his 'CV' on Twitter, and we're totally loving it – especially with Taylor Swift's name crossed off the list:

Oh, but it didn't stop there. One fan asked Pizza Hut how they received Kanye's CV in the first place, to which the chain replied:

Game of Thrones is quite possibly the cruellest show on TV and the popular fantasy series is certainly living up to this title by tormenting us with a teaser poster for season six.

And yes, you 've guessed it! The poster features none other than our beloved Jon Snow, played by the lovely Kit Harrington, who was murdered in the final moments of season five.

Though he looks a bit worse for wear, he certainly looks alive!

We can only hope.

The season finale was definitely a tough one to swallow with a mere SIX character deaths, but it's safe to say that Jon’s was the most devastating.

And just when we were unsure how we could possibly go on without the brooding stares of the deliciously curly-haired Snow, HBO had to go and get us all emotional again.

We now have to wait until APRIL for the series to return but when this torturous poster was dropped, Twitter understandably lost its mind.

We know that Kit has renewed his contract for both season six AND seven of the series but we also know that we are talking about Game of Thrones, a show that literally thrives on torturing its fans.

So in true Jon Snow fashion, we literally know nothing.
