TV show

The first season was a huge hit.

And now Derry Girls is back with a bang for a second series.

The drama follows a group of teenagers who are growing up during the Troubles in 1990s in Northern Ireland.

The show's eagerly anticipated return will be hitting our screens in March and it looks amazing.

The Channel 4 show is based on writer Lisa McGee’s upbringing in Derry, and the trailer brings us back to the world of four schoolgirls attending a convent school.

The trailer shows the five pals going on a school trip – however, the girls are supposed to be off to a Take That concert.

One of their mothers tells them, ''I know how much you were looking forward to seeing this and that" before Erin quickly says, ''Take That".

Saoirse-Monica Jackson plays the lead role of Erin, with her cousin Orla played by Louisa Harland and Nicola Coughlan and Jamie-Lee O’Donnell starring as pals Clare and Michelle. Michelle’s English cousin James is played by Dylan Llewellyn.

Fans were so excited with the prospect of a brand new season and they took to so social media to express their delight.

One said, ''My teenage years all wrapped up in one glorious package #derrygirls is back.''

While another wrote, ''Excited is an understatement .#DerryGirls returns.''

We can't wait either – let's hope it's just as fab as the first one.

Everyone is now obsessing over Derry Girls since it arrived on Netflix and we are not one bit surprised.

The beloved show stole our hearts when it first made its debut on Channel 4 in January 2018.

The comedy series follows the lives of Derry teens Erin, Orla, Michelle, Clare and James and is written by the unbelievably talented Lisa McGee.

Lisa recently gushed about the shows well-awaited return to the telly box. Fans of the show won’t have long to wait as she shared the potential release date during an interview on The Nolan Show on BBC Radio Ulster.

The writer said: “They’re talking about March, early March. See, that’s all Channel 4. That’s when I think it will be released.”

We have mere weeks to go until the second season of the comedy show and we honestly couldn’t be more excited about the show’s return.

Season two is bound to be a major crowd-pleaser. Lisa said it is even better than the first, which will be hard to top.

Fans are in for a real treat: “I love it. We’re editing it now,” she shared.

Lisa continued: “It’s better than season one, it’s a bit more ambitious and because we know what we’re doing a bit more, it’s better.”

We’ll be seeing a hell of a lot more Derry Girls in the future too with a potential third season in the works.

“We’re talking about doing a third series. Hopefully, if the second one goes well and everything goes according to plan, we’ll do a third series,” she added.

Bring on March 2019.

We're sure you all remember the teen heart-throb and sandy blonde protagonist of Saved By The Bell.

The absolute hunk that was Zack Morris was played by Mark-Paul Gosselaar, who is now hoping that the show will have it's reunion on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Hold on to your nostalgia hats, because Saved By The Bell is set to have it's 30-year-anniversary, so we suddenly feel infinitely older.

Jimmy Fallon previously had the cast-members back for a mini-reunion on-screen in 2015, which the internet was DELIGHTED for, and the star is hoping for another TV celebration.

The 44-year-old actor shot to fame back in 1989 playing the main character of the show, and it's now renowned as one of the biggest treats of the 1990s.

The 90s fashion alone has remained iconic, but we haven't seen much of the cast since the show ended, except for Mario Lopez and Gosselaar.

Lopez, who portrayed AC Slater, has remained in the TV business through his penchant for presenting. Mark-Paul has also stayed in the industry, playing roles in NYPD Blue, Franklin & Bash and now The Passage.

Gosselaar recently spoke to Metro, and stated that there are currently no plans to get the crew back together for the anniversary; "No, we haven’t discussed anything."

He continued:

"I think the last time we did something for the 25th was with Jimmy Fallon, so possibly he might have something up his sleeve which would be great."

"I think we’d all gladly take up the offer if it was there to reprise that role with them."

PAY ATTENTION JIMMY. Give the world what it wants, and deserves.

Orange is the New Black (OITNB) fans, today is a sad day.

Netflix and the show's cast has confirmed that one of its biggest shows will come to an end after its seventh and final series.

The forthcoming seventh season of the Jenji Kohan-created prison comedy will be its last, with the final episodes to debut in 2019.

"After seven seasons, it’s time to be released from prison. I will miss all the badass ladies of Litchfield and the incredible crew we’ve worked with. My heart is orange but fade to black," Kohan said.

The show, which was hailed for its original and groundbreaking commentary on a variety of women's issues from its airing in 2013, sought to break the mould and fought against stereotyping subjects such as female sexuality.

In a video on the show's official Twitter account, cast members including Uzo Aduba and Taylor Schilling lamented the show's end, but promised that everyone would come together to make the last season the best one yet.

Rumours that the series was to come to an end first surfaced last year, but now that it has been confirmed, we'll have an OITNB-shaped hole in our lives after 2019.

Schilling, who plays Piper, told The Hollywood Reporter that the series' end felt surreal. "As an actor getting ready to say goodbye to a role that I’ve lived with for six years, it’s very poignant. It’s a very kind of surreal time. It’s as surreal as it was when the thing came out of the gate and was so powerful those first few seasons. It’s equally as surreal now to be ending it all."

Desperate Housewives star Marcia Cross – or Bree Van De Kamp to fans – has revealed she is "happy and healthy"  after taking to social media to reveal she had been battling anal cancer.

Actually, what spurned her to reveal more details to fans was after she recently shared a post on Instagram lamenting the loss of her hair after going through chemotherapy. The actress hadn't spoken of her cancer diagnosis before, so naturally, fans were concerned.

“So grateful and happy to be alive but sad that my hair fell out and is about 1 inch long now and looks cra cra,” wrote Cross. “Anyone else have #hairloss due to #cancer? Talk to me. I feel you.”

In the snap, we see Cross looking beautiful (her skin is incredible) and sad as we get a glimpse of her colouring her hair, lamenting how it used to be prior to her cancer diagnosis.

After followers responded in droves, she posted a second photo, reassuring everyone that she was happily, cancer-free despite her hard journey.

“I am so sorry my post wasn’t clear,” she wrote, in response to a flurry of worried messages. “I am POST cancer. All good now. Hard journey, but I am HEALTHY, happy, and more present and grateful than ever. Thank you from the bottom of my ever expanding heart for all of your LOVE.”

However, it was her third message that left many feeling inspired as she explained how liberated and overwhelmed she felt at the outpouring of love and support.

“After posting a picture of myself here and uttering the words #cancer and #hairloss, I felt liberated, deliriously free and completely me,” she said.

In exposing her concerns, her fears, she said it gave her the powerful boost she needed to keep moving forward, living and being happy.

"How or why this simple act gave me such a powerful lift I did not question, but I thanked God or whatever gave me the internal push to move forward and expose myself.”

Cross continued: “I certainly wasn’t expecting the response of love and kindness that flowed to me,” she said.

“I am ecstatically alive."

After revealing that she had anal cancer (with a bit of humour thrown in!), fellow survivors chimed in to offer support and encouragement.

“Anal cancer survivor here! Difficult one to talk about, glad you are feeling better," wrote one.

“You look gorgeous! And if I didn’t lose hair to chemo, I would NEVER had nerve to try a Mohawk which is now my hairstyle! I used to have beautiful long red hair too, but ahh well, life changes. I’m so glad you’re sharing your story openly… here’s to #survivors,” said another.

We're glad the actress is on the mend and commend her for her moving words.

Making a Murderer fans, get excited.

Netflix has announced the highly-anticipated second chapter of the brilliant, critically acclaimed, Emmy Award-winning original documentary series Making a Murderer, which followed the unprecedented journey of Steven Avery from DNA exoneree and reformer to convicted murderer.

Filmmakers Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos return to the Midwest where they had exclusive access to Steven Avery and his co-defendant and nephew Brendan Dassey, their families and the legal teams fighting for justice on their behalf.

Over the course of 10 new episodes, Making a Murderer Part 2 provides an in-depth look at the high-stakes post-conviction process – get your binge-watching cosies ready.

We already know it’s going to make for gripping television.

“Steven and Brendan, their families and their legal and investigative teams have once again graciously granted us access, giving us a window into the complex web of American criminal justice,” said executive producers, writers and directors Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos.

So, what will we see this time around?

As Part 1 documented the experience of the accused, in Part 2, they have chronicled the experience of the convicted and imprisoned.

Part 2 introduces viewers to Kathleen Zellner, Avery’s hard-charging post-conviction lawyer as she tirelessly works the case and uncovers unexpected evidence about what may have happened to Teresa Halbach and about how and why the jury convicted Steven of her murder.

Ricciardi and Demos also follow Dassey’s post-conviction lawyers, Laura Nirider and Steven Drizin with Northwestern University’s Center on Wrongful Convictions of Youth, as they fight in federal court to prove their client’s confession was involuntary, a fight that could take Brendan’s case all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court.

When is it available to watch?

Making A Murderer 2 is available to watch in the UK and Ireland on Netflix from October 19th.
