With many of us in a state of inner turmoil over the fact we fancy a fictional serial killer, Jamie Dornan has put our minds at ease by admitting he would happily play the psychopath for the rest of his life.

Opening up about his life and career during a recent interview with Marie Claire, the Irish actor admitted that his role in The Fall is where he finds the most contentment.

"It’s a real comfort to come back and do that show, and you know, I’m very grateful for it because it’s changed my professional life," he said of the hit BBC thriller.

While acknowledging that the role of Paul Spector is not for the fainthearted, it sounds like Jamie would happily forego countless others parts in order to see Spector's story through to the end.

"I’m playing such a horrific character, but I would play him for the rest of my life if I could," he admitted.

Given the show's incredibly grim subject matter, the 34-year-old actor acknowledged the role his young family plays in allowing him to switch off after shooting.

"The kids are a great way of breaking you out of whatever," he explained. "You have no choice but to enter their world when you get home."

Yeah, we somehow fancy him even more now.

Ok, we'd be the first to admit that some of our childhood crushes were more than a little questionable.

From Jim McDonald on Coronation Street to Tommy's dad on Rugrats, we're no one to cast aspersions on anyone's secret crush, but we draw the line at family members.

Rob Kardashian, however, does not.

While being interviewed alongside Blac Chyna for E!, Rob appeared to suggest he shared the same interest in his sister as much of the male population.

After Chyna revealed Ricky Martin tickled her fancy back in the day, she revealed that Rob fancied J.Lo, before adding: "And Kim Kardashian."

Worryingly, Rob responded: "That is pretty accurate… that is also pretty accurate."

And now we have to go lie in a darkened room.

She may be one of the most popular Gogglebox cast members, but Scarlett Moffatt has also endured the most scrutiny and ridicule off-screen.

While the 24-year-old girl from Durham quickly established a fan base for herself with her witty one-liners and quirky sense of humour, she has also been subjected to intense criticism on account of her appearance.

Derided by national newspapers for her size, Scarlett embarked on a nutrition and fitness plan which saw her drop some serious lbs, but it looks like her new size has irked some of her Instagram followers who now insist she has gotten too skinny.

After sharing a snap of herself looking fantastic in a pair of skinny jeans teamed with a floral shirt, Scarlett was inundated with comments from followers suggesting she's gone too far.

"Scarlett, be careful please don't go too skinny you looked amazing before," wrote one follower. "Obviously you are still beautiful but take care."

"Don't get any more skinny please! You are stunning –  just know when to stop," added another.

Thankfully for Scarlett, hundreds of her followers were on hand to remind social media users that Scarlett had lost weight through a healthy diet and fitness regime.

"All the hard work paying off! She's been exercising!" wrote one.

"She hasn't disappeared; she's the same gorgeous and bubbly girl she always was," insisted a fan. "She's happier in her own skin now and looks great. That's what motivation looks like!"

"You look AMAZING hun totally amazing – well done for all your hard work," added another.

We're with them on this one.

We all know what it's like to start laughing at the most inopportune moment, right?

Whether it's during a medical appointment, immediately after hearing bad news or in the middle of a presentation, when that fit of giggles strikes, there's very little we can do about it.

And while it's bad enough on that scale, doing it on national television definitely takes the biscuit, but that's exactly what happened when CTV News Winnipeg host, Maralee Caruso,  attempted to report on the story of a British man who lived for three days… as a goat.

That's right ladies, Goat Man is real, and he's written a book on his research too.

Describing the reasoning behind Thomas Thwaites' decision to create prosthetic limbs and live in the Alps, Maralee and her two co-hosts nearly keeled over with the mirth.

And thankfully, one viewer had the good sense to share it on Twitter.

When it comes to boy bands, there were few greater than the Backstreet Boys,

Before the introduction of stools which became an on-stage staple for most boy bands in the late 90s and early noughties, these five lads knew how to throw some serious shapes.

Transfixed by their chart stompers and movie-length music videos, Nick, Brian and the rest of the crew had us eating of of the palm of their hands, and it looks like we weren't the only ones.

In last night's episode of The Late Late Show, James Corden admitted he longed for the days of boy bands past, and proved as much by performing alongside one of our favourites of all time.

Ladies, it's time to down your tools because this one deserves your undivided attention.

If there’s one thing we’ve learned from Jimmy Kimmel’s Lie Witness News segment, it’s that the public really don’t like to admit when they don’t know the answer to something.

From bigging up bands which don’t exist to weighing in on a debate which has yet to happen, there isn’t a subject we don’t think we can wing when it comes to the crunch.

Unfortunately for the US public, Jimmy Kimmel and his crew are often on hand to expose the gaps in their knowledge, and while it’s hideous for those involved, it’s pretty hilarious for the rest of us.

Earlier this week, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump went head to head in a presidential debate, and while most people had a lot to say in the aftermath, there were a select few who thought they could offer their opinion on certain remarks… before they had even been made.

Oh, you guys!

Since its launch in 2009, Modern Family has been lauded for its treatment of adoption,  same-sex couples, and multi-cultural families.

And in keeping with the trend, the makers of the hit ABC show have confirmed that they are thrilled to feature the first openly transgender child actor on television in their next episode.

Taking to Instagram last night, the episode's director, Ryan Case, shared a snap of herself with the budding star, and could barely contain her delight at having him on set.

"This is Jackson Millarker. He's 8 years old, from Atlanta, and just happens to be transgender," Ryan wrote alongside her snap.

"He plays Lily's friend Tom in this week's Modern Family and he's wonderful," she continued. "One of the many reasons I love being a part of this show."

While there were some cruel remarks, the vast majority of Instagram users were pumped for Jackson, with one writing: "Awesome! So glad we are finally getting to a place where young ones are feeling safe enough to be vocal and express themselves how they choose to."

"Of course there will always be those few who speak against it… ahem…. a few of the above comments…. but it will take small steps to erase the ignorance of many," she continued.

"Cheers to you Jackson and to taking small steps in the right direction!"

Jackson will feature in the show's latest episode 'A Stereotypical Day'.

Back in June, Kim Cattrall had everyone in a tizzy when she hinted that a third Sex and the City movie could be on the cards.

And now, Sarah Jessica Parker – aka Miss Carrie Bradshaw – has furthered that suggestion by saying there is a “possibility” that SATC will return.

While it is not yet clear whether the show’s long-awaited comeback would take the form of a seventh season or another big screen instalment, the 51-year-old actress told the Press Association that she and her co-stars have not ruled out furthering the adventures of Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda.

The Hocus Pocus star said: “I don't think any of us have said no.  I don't know whether it's a series or the movie.”

“I think that remains an open question and discussion that will continue until it's been resolved.”

“I think [a comeback is] always a possibility, definitely.”

We have everything crossed that this “possibility” becomes a reality.

After a hiatus that felt like a lifetime, The Fall made its highly-anticipated return to our TV screens last night.

Picking up where it left off in season 2, viewers met Stella Gibson and Paul Spector in the aftermath of a shoot-out which saw law enforcement struggle with the prospect that the Belfast Strangler might not survive to see the inside of a courtroom.

And with viewers only dying to get stuck back into the cat and mouse game which played out between Jamie Dornan and Gillian Anderson's characters, it seems many were left disappointed by the slow and steady pace of the season's first episode.

OK, so the first episode of the show definitely involved more medical jargon and organ removal than most of us expected, but it looks like Stella's speech on the difference between submission and consent was enough to reel the viewers back in.

Applauding scriptwriters for their succinct summation, Twitter was awash with praise as credits on the first episode began to roll.

She’s been linked to Alex Cannon, Spencer Matthews and Mario Falcone in recent months, but it looks like Geordie Shore’s Vicky Pattison has a new guy on her mind.

Appearing on The Xtra Factor last night, the 28-year-old reality star confessed she’s developed a pretty serious crush on X Factor hopeful Christian Burrows.

“I love him me,” Vicky told hosts Rylan Clark and Matt Edmondson.  “He got us all hot down the collar in that green room.”

After reminding the Geordie of a tweet she wrote in which she claimed she wants to “marry [Christian] and kiss his face forever”, the presenters then brought the 19-year-old singer into the studio and asked Vicky if she’d like to kiss him.

According to The Sun, that’s when things got really awkward.

As the former I’m A Celebrity… winner followed Matt’s instructions to give Christian “a little peck on the check”, the young performer buried his face in his hands with embarrassment.

But that didn’t stop Vicky – who at this stage was also turning red – from hugging and snuggling the focus of her affections.

Thankfully Christian seems to be over the initial shock of being kissed on live television as after the show he tweeted: “I actually love her to bits.  She's a right sort.”

Bless!

No matter how old we get, there are very few among us who don’t feel a frisson of excitement when certain commercials start making an appearance as Christmas edges ever closer.

Whether it’s Coco-Cola’s classic truck, our beloved John Lewis penguin or the advert which featured the board game you lusted after and eventually received, a truly special ad has the potential to capture the imagination of millions.

And we think we might have just found this year’s one.

Taking us by the hand, Smyths Toy Superstores lead us on a journey through a young boy’s vivid imagination as he finds himself enchanted by a toy store and all who dwell within.

Adapting Beyoncé’s If I Were a Boy for the purpose of his own story, big-eyed, brown-haired Oscar tells viewers of the life he would be sure to lead if he were a toy, and frankly we’re totally charmed by it.

Created by McCann Manchester, whose clients include Nestlé, Missguided and Aldi, this ad marks their first endeavour with the well-known toy store, and something tells us it's one we'll all be talking about as the big day draws near.

Ladies, this is definitely one to remember.

Ah, the lives of the rich and famous.

Those guys and gals have a person for every little thing – umbrella-holding, lace-tying and, if Ariel Winter's latest Instagram upload is anything to go by, bum-decorating.

Taking to the social media site last night, the Modern Family actress shared a shot of herself having her bum… well… tended to by a young man who probably can't believe his luck.

"BUTT really, don't miss a spot," she captioned the shot alongside the words 'secret shoot' and 'embrace your curves'.

Her followers, unsurprisingly, didn't know what to make of the snap, with some quick to wheel out the puns and others only dying to replace the guy in question.

"Now that's an interesting job. Did he have to start at the bottom and work his way up?" wrote one while another added: "What do I have to do to get his job?"

2 million!!! Wow! I can't believe it…love you guys so much #thankyou #love

Thankfully for Ariel, many of her followers focussed on the main aim of the secret shoot, with one writing: "So happy to see a young lady out there who promotes a healthy body image. Good on you Ariel!"

No but seriously, what exactly IS he doing down there?
