If you're fairly certain that your best mate could give Scarlett Moffatt a run for her money in the comedy stakes, then it's time to tell her that stardom is just around the corner.

Oh, that's right ladies, casting for the Irish Gogglebox is finally about to begin, and we are all PUMPED!

According to a report in today's Irish Independent, two years after TV3 announced it was set to air an Irish version of the smash Channel 4 show, it has been established that the homegrown version will hit our television screens this coming August.

With the Irish public falling all over themselves to watch our country's singletons put their first date material to the test this year, we can only imagine how popular our version of Googlebox will be.

Seriously, who wouldn't want a sneak peek into Mick and Mags' Mullingar sitting room?!

Ah lads, what's going on in the Geordie Shore camp of late?

First we had Charlotte suggesting that her time on the long-running reality show was nearing its end, then we had Gaz debating whether or not to return to the house after a shock departure, and now show original, Holly, has admitted she may be next to leave.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, the Geordie lass who joined the show at just 18 has said that her days may actually be numbered.

"I have grown up. I'm not going to apologise for it. I've been through so much and I've degraded myself a lot when I shouldn't have," she insisted.

Holly, who perhaps underwent the biggest personal journey in front of MTV's cameras, says she has no intention of staying with the show if her heart isn't in it.

"Of course I am going to be thinking about leaving and I have been thinking about leaving a lot," she explained. "If I haven't got a reason to be there I don't just want to stick around."

Looking to the future, the reality star said: "I had a great time when I was younger but I'm nearly 24. I want to be settled down in a couple of years, and I've got to think about my future."

In fairness, it's hardly surprising, is it?

We're three weeks in to First Dates Ireland, and if you've tuned in from the start you'll know that Irish singles are absolute pros at creating toe-curlingly cringey moments, and tonight's batch of hopefuls are no different.

Look, we've all had that moment where we've forgotten someone's name or, even worse, called them by the wrong one, but at least our moment of horror wasn't caught on camera for the entire nation to cringe at like this poor young woman in tonight's episode.

Chatting to her potential future boyfriend over dinner and drinks, she broke the cardinal rule of a first date, and revealed she had actually forgotten his name by calling him by the WRONG one.

"Did I really say that?" she asked her disgruntled date whose name is SEAN. Sean, babes, Sean….not Shane.

And yes, you really said that.

As one of the biggest breakout TV stars in the last couple of years, Scarlett Moffatt has definitely earned her place in the public's heart.

Going from disastrous jobs in call centres to the check out desk in her local supermarket, the Gogglebox star is now sitting at the top of the book charts, but that doesn't mean she doesn't long for days gone by.

The 24-year-old Geordie lass took to Instagram this morning to share a throwback snap which showed a considerable leaner Scarlett larking about as a 21-year-old, and fans were less than impressed.

Noting the change in her appearance, the always hilarious Scarlett, who recently revealed she experiences online trolling, wrote: "A very Skinny Minnie Me.  Ahhhh to be 21 & a size 6 again."

Fans of the star were having none of her this time though and wasted no time reminding her that size doesn't equate with beauty.

"You look much better now, don't listen to any press that think if a woman is a size 10 then she is obese or that if a woman has a slight bit of a tummy showing then she is pregnant," wrote one.

"You look fine as you are as long as you are happy that's great. Personally as a mother of a soon to be teenage girl, I wish there were more celebrities that looked like you so she can see what real women look like and not feel any pressure to be skinny," she added.

Scarlett, listen to your squad.

Since hitting our television screens in 2010, Gary Beadle of Geordie Shore fame has dealt with his fair share of rumours, but it looks like the constant speculation into his love life is starting to take its toll on the 28-year-old Newcastle lad.

With rumours swirling that Gary cheated on co-star and on-again-off-again flame, Charlotte, one TOWIE star decided to weigh in on the discussion in a move which has made Gaz feel proper mugged off. (We're pretty sure that's how he'd say it.)

Taking to her column in Star magazine, Chloe Sims laid into Gary, writing: "I wasn’t surprised to hear Gaz Beadle cheated on Charlotte Crosby in Ex On The Beach – he’s done it before."

Furious with the Essex-native, Gay got straight onto Twitter, blasting: "@Chloe_Sims what you sticking your big gums in for you little dirty arse. #youhaventgotacluewhatyourtalkingabout."

Unsurprisingly, Chloe wasted no time hitting back at the Geordie lad, responding: "I was asked about it for my column, as it's in the press, I didn't say anything nasty? Pipe down little boy."

Fans of both reality stars weighed in on the spat, with many slamming Gaz for both his supposed infidelity AND the way he spoke to Chloe.

Ouch, bad week for the Gazster.

Tributes to a popular actor and musician have been made following his sudden death at the age of just 38.

Kristian Ealey, who played Matt Musgrove in Brookside between 1998 and 2000 before taking a place among the Hollyoaks cast until 2004, has been honoured by former co-stars and colleagues this week.

The actor and father, who later became a member of popular Liverpool band Tramp Attack, is understood to have gone to sleep with a pain in his arm and tragically never work up.

Paying tribute to the performer who played Ringo Starr in In His Life: The John Lennon Story, Brookside co-star Suzanne Collins said: "I'm very privileged to have called him a friend."

"There were a gang of the young ones who grew up on the set of Brookside, we called ourselves the Brooki Brat Pack and have an incredible bond."

"We were together nearly every day on set and we socialised out of work together, we became family," she said of the actor who passed away while working in Italy. "It has shocked us all to the core. Kris was full of life, full of smiles and so full of music,"

Equally stunned by Kristian's passing, Hollyoaks star, Gemma Atkinsons, tweeted: "Just awful. What a lovely, lovely man! Had many laughs with him at work back in the day… RIP."

Paying tribute to the popular star, Hollyoaks production company Lime Pictures said: "Many crew worked with Kristian on both Hollyoaks and Brookside and enjoyed following his musical success after leaving the show."

Speaking to Digital Spy, they confirmed: "The news has been met with shock and sadness on set and everyone's thoughts are with his family at this time."

Our thoughts go out to Kristian's friends and family.

We’re going to be honest here ladies; when it comes to cartoons, we’re ALL about the nostalgia.

We can take or leave the newcomers, but there will always be a special place in our hearts for the likes of Scooby Doo, Tom and Jerry and our beloved SpongeBob SquarePants.

If you were a serious Scooby-Doo fan back in the day, you’ll be pumped to know you blazed a trail for the younger generations who are equally mad into the adventures of Scrappy, Velma and the whole gang.

In fact, according to research from Sky Kids, Scooby-Doo has been voted the all-time favourite kids show, with Lucy Murphy, Head of Sky Kids Content, saying: “It’s great to see Scooby-Doo standing the test of time and remaining a favourite amongst kids and parents.”

SEE! We knew we were on to a winner with that one.

Following closely behind the ghost-obsessed gang is everyone’s favourite cat and mouse duo while Nicktoons’ ever-optimistic hero, SpongeBob SquarePants, comes it at a very respectable third.

And with the study’s 2,300 participants revealing they re-watch their favourite shows a whopping 53 times a year, we feel a whole lot better about the SpongeBob binge-fests we have every Saturday morning.

There are certain Britain's Got Talent auditions which will always stand the test of time; Susan Boyle, Paul Potts and Connie Talbot to name but three.

But if Saturday's episode of the long-running talent show is anything to go by, it looks like Jasmine Elcock can now add her name to that memorable list.

Performing Cher's 1998 track Believe, the 14-year-old singer held the audience spellbound and even reduced judge, Alesha Dixon, and host, Ant McPartlin, to tears.

In a rare move, the show's hosts Ant and Dec made the executive decision to put the budding star through to the semi-finals by storming the stage and reaching for the Golden Buzzer.

If you're in a heap after Bank Holiday Sunday pints, you may want to gather yourself before pressing play on this one – The feels lads, the FEELS.

There are loads and loads of ways to make a first date super-awkward, and if you’re a regular viewer of the popular Channel 4 show you’ll know that some people are professionals at it.

Proving that we’re just as capable on that front, RTÉ have released a clip from tonight’s First Dates Ireland, and it is a total toe-curler.

Turning your nose up at fish, we can understand. Saying no to a bit of vino? No judgement here.

But requesting the KIDS menu on a first date? No, no, no.

Unfortunately, this lady didn’t get the memo and thought nothing of asking the wait staff for a little give on this front – mortifying her potential girlfriend at the same time. (Obvs)

Take a look at this and decide whether you're going to tune in for the full shebang at 9.30pm tonight.

Before she turned her living room into her very own stage show, Scarlett Moffatt slogged it out like the rest of us in retail positions and call centres in order to keep herself in tan and false eyelashes.

Unfortunately, however, her experience was far from positive.

Giving an insight into her experience moving up the career ladder, the Gogglebox favourite told readers of her recently released book, Scarlett Says, that she encountered more than her fair share of angsty customers.

Explaining that she used work in a supermarket, Scarlett wrote: "I had to ID people for all sorts and they used to get really pissed off with me. It wasn’t my bloody choice."

"A woman once threw a packet of paracetamol at my head because I told her she could only buy two boxes at a time," she added. And we're sorry, but we lolled at the image.

And if you thought that was bad enough, the 24-year-old TV star said her call centre experience was even worse, recalling: "I got shouted at and got death threats and all sorts. The public are crazy."

Poor Scarlett!

When you've happily shared the worst antics of your twenties with the entire nation, you'd think little would faze you, but it looks like even Charlotte from Geordie Shore has a line she'd rather not cross.

And that line, ladies, is peeing your pants…when sober.

Taking to Twitter last night, the reality TV star revealed she had suffered a slight mishap while trampolining and unfortunately didn't get to the bathroom in time.

Zooming in on the crotch of her jeans (Come on, this IS Charlotte, after all), the Geordie lass admitted she was horrified by the turn of events, telling the camera: "I'm so upset."

"This means I've got a weak bladder," she said in shock. "I thought I only wet myself because I was drunk, but my bladder's just sh*t!"

Her army of loyal followers were there to lend a shoulder, however, with one writing: "This was legit me when we went trampolining **bounce bounce oops**"

"You poor thing. I know of so many people who have this problem," posted another of the star's followers.

You can't say those peeps aren't loyal to their favourite Geordie gal!
