It's been a long time coming, but it looks like Haim are finally set to release their much anticipated new album.

The sister trio have been busy recording the follow up to their Grammy-nominated debut album Days Are Gone, and it looks like they're finally ready to share it with the world.

A short clip posted on the band's official twitter shows drummer, Danielle Haim doing her thing before the message 'Haim April 27th' flashes on screen.

Although no details were given, we're thinking this means we'll be hearing new music from the girls very soon.

The news went down well with fans on Twitter.

The announcement will be music to ears of any Irish fans after many were left disappointed last year when Haim were forced to cancel their slot at Electric Picnic.

Earlier this month, billboards of the girls began to appear in several cities across the world, fuelling speculation that the band were finally ready to release their new album.

We can't wait for this!

Nicki Minaj was having a good oul stalk through her own Instagram page this weekend and decided to post a throwback to last year's VMAs.

While she went on a little rant about her hair (yeah, we didn't get it either), everybody else noticed that she looked like she was playing a game of Countdown.

And to be honest, they way she placed her hands on the words is uncanny to how Carol Vorderman or Rachel Riley pose during the show.

Of course, Twitter went wild for this, and many users took the p*ss:

Kendall Jenner and Pepsi came under fire 10 days ago with the release of the soft drink company's new ad, showing Kendall participating in a protest.

The ad was pulled 24 hours later after major backlash.

Pepsi released an apology following the response to the ad, but Kendall has been silent ever since the commercial aired.

Now, the model is facing a second round of hate, after she posted her first tweets since the campaign.

Sharing her latest magazine cover, the reality TV teen failed to address the Pepsi ad.

People were not too happy about this fact, and flooded the model's feed with hate over her lack of response.

"No word about #Pepsi ad huh Kendall, Really?!?!You disgust me," said one.

"Good for u entitled rich one. Reappropriating resistance & capitalising on vulnerable communities who fight injustice is disgraceful," said another.

According to TMZ, Kendall will be making he first public appearance since the commercial aired at Coachella this week, but the press have been warned not to mention Pepsi while interviewing the star.

Kendall clearly isn't having the best week…

Demi Lovato has been busy spreading messages of self-love and body-confidence across social media this week.

The singer developed bulimia at a young age and has been incredibly open and honest about her journey to recovery ever since.

Demi often stresses the importance of self-care and encourages her fans to love themselves for who they are.

She has come a long way, and her latest posts prove it.

I don't have a thigh gap and I'm still beautiful the way I am. #recovery #selflove #EVERYbodyisbeautiful

For World Health Day, the star took to instagram with this message for her followers:

"Every day you have the chance to turn it all around. Take care of your body and mind, and it will take care of you back."

Earlier in the week, Demi posted a series of tweets in which she spoke openly about her eating disorder and reminded us all that we are so much more than our clothes size.

The star's words of wisdom are something we could all take on board.

Cut yourself some slack and learn to accept and love the things you can't change – just like Demi has.

Ed Sheeran, everyone's favourite flame-headed singer-songwriter, brought his Divide tour to Dublin this week.

The 26-year-old performed two sold out shows at the 3Arena – and he absolutely killed it.

Twitter is flooded with pictures and videos that are making us beyond jealous we couldn't be there.

With such a heavy Irish folk influence on tracks like Galway Girl and Nancy Mulligan, the Dublin shows were sure to create some moments of magic.

Ed even treated the crowd to a cover of Steve Earle's original Galway Girl

Everyone was feeling the love during Ed's performance of Perfect, arguably one of the cutest songs on the new album, but one lad took it to the next level by getting down on one knee.

Here's the moment she said YES, complete with a cheeky smile from Ed himself.

The crowds weren't the only ones enjoying themselves though. Ed was full of smiles throughout both performances, even telling the crowd "I knew that this was going to be the best concert of the tour".

And although he probably says that in every city, we're pretty sure he actually meant it this time.

Realistically, if you are a woman who exists in society, you have probably experienced some form of sexism.

From getting cat called in the street to not being taken seriously because of your gender, sexism is still alive and well, despite society coming on leaps and bounds in the area of women's rights.

Women in the western world have the same rights as men, but for some reason, stigmatic but casual sexism still exists.

Now, one Twitter account is dedicated to exposing these instances under the hashtag #EverydaySexism.

Here are a few prime examples:

8. This VILE instance of sexual harassment that we really hope she reported to police.

7. That mansplaining tho…

6. Sexual double standards.

5. What a dog.

4. Because if you don't respond to unwanted sexual advances, you're a slut. Logic.

3. This shining example.

Kendrick Lamar has released the track list and artwork for his fourth studio album, Damn.

The rapper is known for collaborating with other artists, but his latest partnership has come as a quite a surprise to fans.

The US rapper has confirmed that U2 and Rhianna will both feature on his upcoming album.

It's not clear if Kendrick teamed up with Bono and the lads in studio or if a sample was used, but either way, we're excited to find out.

Twitter, on the other hand, has seriously mixed feeling about the announcement.

In the past, Kendrick has collaborated with the likes of J. Cole, Alicia Keys and Taylor Swift and fans of the rapper were actually left puzzled by how few artists feature on his latest album.

Speaking to The New York Times Kendrick described the album as ''very urgent'' and stressed that he wanted to return to “addressing the problem”.

“I’m in a space now where I’m not addressing the problem anymore. We’re in a time where we exclude one major component out of this whole thing called life: God.''

He continued: ''Nobody speaks on it because it’s almost in conflict with what’s going on in the world when you talk about politics and government and the system.”

Damn is out this Friday, April 14.

A British woman is being praised for standing up to a supporter of the English Defence League during a gathering of the organisation in Birmingham, after a powerful photo of her emerged online.

The English Defence League is a far-right street protest movement in the UK which opposes the spread of Islam and Sharia.

The powerful photo shows a woman, identified by media outlets as Saffiyah Khan, smiling directly at a man wearing the symbol of the EDL on his shirt.

According to The Guardian, it later emerged that she was defending another woman who was being shouted at by EDL demonstrators.

The controversial far-right group responded to the incident in a statement on their official Facebook page.

They claimed that Saffiyah "broke through police" and "started shouting during a minute's silence that we were holding for the victims of terror attacks"

Howver, Twitter uses were quick to show support for Saffiyah's actions.

Speaking to The Telegraph, Saffiyah said she wasn't intimidated by the situation and thanked those who have supported her so far.

"I wasn't scared in the slightest… I knew they were trying to provoke me, but I wasn't going to be provoked."

''I didn't realise how many people would be so supportive, so it was worth it."

Saffiyah and Saira Zafar, the woman she defended, officially met for the first time on Monday and the two Brummie girls hugged it out.

On the page Mercedes explained how much the opportunity meant to her: ‘‘I know sometimes there is a stigma for asking for help, but this is a huge dream of mine and I am willing to do whatever I can to make it.’’

By Friday, Mercedes had raised around $300, but was still a long way from her goal.

The star brought Mercedes' total up to her goal amount with a generous donation of $5,605. Chrissy also included a message saying: ‘’I’ve seen this be your passion for such a long time now. So excited to see you fulfil your dream!’’

Mercedes admitted that when she first got the notification about the donation, she thought it was a glitch.

Something absolutely amazing happened last night. Many of you know how much I love skin care and my plans to attend esthetician school next month. Last night I posted my tuition fundraiser on twitter and something I never in my wildest dreams happened. My paypal alert went off, and as I looked at my phone, there was amount of $5605. I thought it was a glitch. I then look at my email and realized it came from my fundraiser. @chrissyteigen donated my entire tuition money for school. I have been crying all night and I cried in the office this morning as I paid my downpayment for esthetician school. I haven't been this happy in a very long time. Thank you Chrissy and thank you to everyone else who voted or rtd my link or have supported me this entire time. It means more to me than you'll ever know. #ixorabb #futureesthetician

There's bitter, and then there's Twitter user, Picasso.

After sharing a screenshot of messages he has been sending his ex girlfriend for more than three years, he's faced serious backlash from the Twitopshere who wasted no time suggesting he get himself a life.

Every day at 07.45, this guy says he takes a moment out of his life to troll his former girlfriend by texting various versions of 'I hate you' to her.

And while equally bitter Twitter users have lauded this lad, the more reasonable among them have intimated that the messages say more about Picasso than they he realises.

"I have never seen something so pathetic in my life. bro, go outside," wrote one while another added: "Ok? This is harassment?"

"So basically, she's on your mind every single day because you actually love her. Let go dude. How lame," opined another.

"Imagine being this desperate for ur ex's attention three years later," wrote someone else. (sic)

We're with them on that one.

In the wake of  Zayn Malik and Niall Horan's respective solo releases, it's hardly surprising pressure was on Harry Styles ahead of his first solo endeavour.

But it looks like the former 1D singer need not have worried if the reaction on Twitter is anything to go by this morning.

The singer's first solo single, Sign of the Times, dropped today, and it looks like people are pretty impressed, with more than a few passing references to David Bowie circulating online.

An apparent departure from the signature One Direction sound, the 23-year-old has knocked it out of the park with this one…
