We kinda freaked out when we heard that Love Actually is getting a sequel.

And even though it's only a ten minute short film, we can't wait for it to make its comeback.

Red Nose Day Actually will air on BBC One on March 24, and Andrew Lincoln was picked to tell us the news.

He hung up his zombie-slaying boots to do what he does best… communicate via placards.

And Twitter was loving it:

Mobile network Three is raising its bill-pay price plans by €5 from this month.

More than 900,000 customers are on the bill-pay plan, and their existing contracts will be bumped up by a fiver this month.

And pre-pay costumers, which make up 700,000 people, will now only be able to buy a €20 top-up. They will also now have to pay every 28 days instead of every 30 days, as it was before.

The company has started to issue letters and notices to its customers, but it's not going down to well on social media.

Many have taken to Twitter to share their frustration at the network:

While some are seeing the bright side of things:

When Kerrywoman, Úna-Minh Coamhánach, made the decision to highlight the racial abuse she's been subjected to in Ireland, she was initially inundated with words of support from Twitter users.

Sharing a moving drawing on the social media site over the weekend, the journalist and Gaeilgeoir stressed that while she was 'grand' about the various incidents, she felt compelled to remind the public that these instances are far from rare.

According to her post, Úna, who is of Vietnamese heritage, has been accused of stealing Irish identities (sorry, what?) and dubbed a 'slit-eyes weirdo'.

And while the vast majority of Twitter users regretted the incidents she experienced at the hands of Irish people, one man named Barry took it upon himself to question the validity of Úna's post.

In a longwinded email to Una, Barry wrote: "I would ask you to consider how when someone who is clearly not Irish claims to be Irish, how this affects us as people."

"You can only be Irish if you are a product of the Irish environment, this is biological. The Irish people are a genetically unique and distinct people, this is confirmed by genetic research," Barry added.

So, what did Úna do? She replied to the email in Irish.

And Twitter officially has a new hero.

Hugely impressed by Úna's post, one Twitter user wrote: "Well Una, you're more Irish than me and I'm 1/3 Jameson, 1/3 potato & 1/3 bad weather. Bualadh Bos."

"Oh my god. I genuinely want to buy you a drink for that," added another.

Úna, you absolute legend.

If you awoke to news that your monthly salary had not yet landed in your bank account, you're not alone.

According to emerging reports, Bank of Ireland have been fielding queries from irate customers who are awaiting the lodgement of wages and other payments this morning.

Acknowledging the outcry, Bank of Ireland have responded to customer complaints, advising the public that the complaints are 'being investigated as a priority'.

Attempting to assuage irate members of the public, the bank has advised customers that 'payments can process throughout the day'.

And, unsurprisingly, Twitter is having none of it.

John Legend has been quite vocal about his dislike for President Trump, but it all took a very weird and dark turn on Friday night.

The singer's Twitter was hacked with profanity-ridden messages being sent out, which included, “I can’t stand by and be silent, @realDonaldTrump, you’re a b***h ass n***a and if I see you, I’m stomping your s**t you f**kin’ cheetoh,” one read, which was followed by, “i will follow 5 who follow @Owen755.”

@Owen755 claimed responsibility for the hacking later, tweeting from his personal account, "that was fun," before being suspended.

John then followed up and apologised to his followers:

However, John's wife Chrissy topped it all off by this hilarious, sassy response:

We're sure that was a dramatic Friday night for the couple!

Let's be honest, if you've never sent a message to the wrong person, then you've had some very near misses, right?

Well, one guy who failed miserably on the texting front has had his indiscretion splashed all over Twitter after the girl he messaged shared his fail with the wider world.

In a post which has racked up a staggering 99,000 likes in mere days, Twitter user,  tired girl, revealed the moment an intended hang-out session went from chill to facepalm in just six words.

After being invited over to her dorm, the lad at the centre of this incident only went and shared his excitement about the night ahead in a message we're pretty certain he wouldn't have wanted her to see.

Unsurprisingly, Twitter had a field day, with one user writing: "I feel bad but it's so funny that actually happened."

"I guess at least he saved you some time by accidentally revealing his true colors," reasoned another.

So, if you see that phrase trending over the next few days, you'll know why.

Women who haven't been on the receiving end of catcalls are few and far between, and it's safe to say the widely-spread phenomenon is utterly reviled in most societies.

And yet that doesn't stop people engaging in the despicable act on a daily basis.

So, it's no surprise that footage which showed a catcaller getting his just desserts this week has taken social media by storm.

Filmed by a motorcyclist, a female cyclist can be seen fending off sexist remarks and unwanted leers from a man in the passenger seat of a white van who she happened to stop beside in traffic.

After enduring an intense exchange with a stranger, the lights changed and the cyclist was in a position to follow the van until it stopped again moments later.

And we'll let our new idol take it from here…

We are all well-versed in the eternal argument as to whether a Jaffa Cake is a cake or a biscuit, but now it is the humble Twix's time to shine.

Pointless host Richard Osman kicked off the drama on Twitter when he asked his followers what they thought a Twix should be classified as.

"I honestly don't think a Twix is really a chocolate bar. It should be reclassified as a biscuit," he said.

Obviously, such a divisive issue caused a wave of responses, as people battled it out in the comments section to share their opinion.

Some agreed with the quiz show host, saying that the biscuit to chocolate ratio involved in a Twix should define it as a biscuit.

This brought up the issue of other confectionery items currently classified as bars, such as Kit Kats and Penguin bars, and whether or not they should also be biscuits.

Others felt that the debaters should leave well enough alone and continue to refer to a Twix as a bar, as is traditional.

Others felt that a Twix is a hybrid of the two confectionery types, and straddles both categories.

Some just see it as "a fancy tea straw."

We don't really mind what we call it seeing as it tastes so good, but what do you think?

There is nothing better than a good Twitter meme, and the joke about about Arthur's fist has been running for months now.

For those who don't know, the Arthur's fist meme is a snap of cartoon character Arthur's clenched fist, which has been used on Twitter and Instagram to portray a myriad of emotions and situations.

The meme has become an online sensation, suitable for expressing any kind of irritating scenario.

From the popularity of his clenched fist, more Arthur memes sprung up, and now one Twitter user is likening the meme character to one very famous singer.

The avid tweeter posted a side-by-side image of Arthur and John Legend, calling out a resemblance between the two.

The tweet blew up, and now has  over 77,000 retweets and 230,000 shares.

Thousands of people constructed memes of their own in an attempt to prove how alike John is to the cartoon.

Chrissy Teigen decided to respond to the viral trend in the best possible way, by taking the mick out of her husband herself.

The mum-of-one shared a snap of Arthur's fist with the caption "John when you tell him he looks like Arthur," and the Twitterverse went insane for the response.

Well, if you cant laugh at your husband, who can you laugh at?

With Obama and Biden setting the bar high for bromances, last week Ashton Kutcher and John McCain followed suit with their love for each other.

But now, there's two new guys in town that are literally gushing over each other on social media.

It all started when the king of documentaries, Louis Theroux tweeted a picture of an interview with Stormzy, where he was wearing a t-shirt with Louis' face on it.

Louis wrote: "So honoured to see this! Great interview too."

When the grime artist saw Mr Theroux's tweet, he responded and said, "thanks Louis you are a true legend (sic) I respect you HIGHLY! Thank you."

But, it was actually a few days earlier when the Twitter exchanges began. Louis tweeted a picture of him and director John Dower at the NME Awards, to which Stormzy wrote to him and said, "you are the GOAT."

Don't worry, he didn't mean Louis is like a farm animal, but rather the Greatest Of All Time.

You have to hand it to the mothers among us, they put up with some serious sh*t from the likes of us who treat our family home like a hotel, and leave the immersion on without so much as a fleeting thought for their sanity.

And it looks like one kid's mam has officially had enough.

Taking to Twitter to illustrate the lengths his mother went to to prove a point recently, Connor Cox, a college kid in the States, shared a snap of a package his mother sent him.

And it was nothing but a big pile of rubbish which Conor had left behind him after hightailing it back to his college dorm.

"Thought my mom was sending me a care package… but instead she sent me a box of trash I was supposed to take out," Conor wrote in the post which has gone viral since its upload in recent weeks.

Speaking to BuzzFeed, Connor's mam said: "His room should be left the way it was when he came home for Christmas break, which I cleaned before he came home."

"I have raised and taught Connor better than this, and his actions deserve consequences – even if they are humorous," she added.

And by the sounds of things, countless Twitter users are with Connor's mam on this one.

"I dumped garbage on my son's bed for "forgetting" to take it out. He remembered every day after that. Garbage at top of list," remarked one commentator beneath the post.

Well, that's us told.
