In case you've been living under a rock for the last week, you'll know that there once existed a baby which downed pints with all the gusto of a seasoned boozer.

Way back in 1997, this kid was featured on an episode of Nationwide, and people barely batted an eyelid over this lad's appreciation for the Black Stuff.

Fast-forward 20 years and the country was only dying to know who this kid was, and what he gets up to nowadays.

And when they eventually found out that Pint Baby is a strapping 20-year-old man from Kildare called Stephen Barron, they decided they no longer cared about Pint Baby, and have more pressing things to consider.

Twitter, you're a fickle bunch.

1. Where's Pine Baby?

2. Does he have more interesting siblings?

3. Is Pint Baby plotting Twitter's takeover?

4. Pint Baby, your time has come and gone.

5. Why aren't we PROPERLY harnessing Pint Baby's newfound celebrity?

Let It Shine viewers were left fuming over the weekend after the BBC One programme omitted particular lines of a Lady Gaga track which Iron Sun performed on Saturday night.

Taking to the stage with Born This Way, the band left the audience at home reeling when they paused mid-track, and ultimately left out lyrics pertaining to be gay and transgender.

"Don't be a drag, just be a queen" and "No matter gay, straight, or bi, lesbian, transgendered life. I’m on the right track baby. I was born to survive” did not make it to the live performance, and Twitter was far from happy.

"@BBC how dare you butcher #BornThisWay on #letitshine, removing the lyrics from the song that give it its meaning and power. SHAME ON YOU!" wrote one furious Twitter user.

"#letitshine how can you sing born this way without mentioning anything about equality and diversity ??? It's the point of the song," added another.

Responding to criticism, a spokesperson for the BBC show insisted that the nature of the lyrics were inconsequential, saying: "All songs featured on the show were cut for time only."

If your newsfeed is currently saturated with updates from the world of American politics, then it's probably fair to say you're struggling to see a positive in the countless Trump-related reports, right?

So, when someone manages to put a humorous spin on the latest updates, it's seriously appreciated.

And this week's current hero in the eyes of Twitter is someone who saw a correlation between a Trump superfan and the character at the centre of Eminem's smash-hit Stan.

By simply playing the Stan intro over recent footage of a Trump supporter paying tribute to the current president, Twitter user, Bearded Genius, provided the wider world with the gift that just keeps on giving.

"I can't get enough of how genius this video is," wrote one Twitter user while another remarked: "Just came back to this to check it was getting the #numbers it deserves."

While acknowledging the praise he's received since the upload, Bearded Genius admits that his foray into the world of satire may be shortlived.

"Got a load of new followers because of this. They're gonna be so disappointed when they realise I just tweet crap about football all day," he tweeted this morning.

The post has been liked a staggering 18,000 times in less than 24 hours, and we're only responsible for about 1,000.

Piers Morgan has been angering quite a few bibliophiles on Twitter in recent weeks.

Piers has been in a battle of 180 characters with JK Rowling for quite a while, as the two have had some political disagreements.

In the midst of the war of words, Harry Potter fans have begun tweeting Piers Morgan the contents of the Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone novel in it's entirety, and the journalist has had it up to here with the Hogwarts-themed tweets.

Seeking some respite, Piers tweeted Fifty Shades of Grey author E.L James, asking for a quote from her from one of her popular erotic novels.

E.L James proceeded to perfectly troll the journalist, by tweeting back a line from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

Clearly missing the joke, Piers responded to the perceived dig with: "Fortunately none of your characters would ever risk over-exposure…"

The quote is, of course, not even from Fifty Shades of Grey, but is in fact from a scene in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets between Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor Gilderoy Lockhart and Harry Potter.

Clearly E.L James has JK Rowling's back in this battle.

The Harry Potter author also made a pretty funny joke at Piers's expense on Valentine's Day, as she posted a gushing review about her contribution to children's literacy.

While JK Rowling feigned the anonymity of the post for the sake of satire, it was quickly revealed on Twitter that it was Piers Morgan himself who had written the piece a few years ago.

"I bet he's having a monumental trumpesque meltdown," replied one follower.

It might be time for Piers to take a little Twitter break now, no?

Just when we thought Twitter was nothing but a hotbed of angst right now, we came across Dawsyn Eubanks and her legendary best friend who reminded us that the Twitophere is sometimes the only place we want to be.

In a post which has amassed more than 300,000 likes in just 13 hours, Dawsyn revealed that when it comes to #SquadGoals, she and her best friend, Georgia, have it absolutely nailed.

While on a first date this week, Dawsyn received a text from Georgia asking why she had yet to tuck into her meal.

Stunned by the accuracy of the message, she was advised to look behind her where she realised her mate had donned a disguise, and was keeping watch from a secluded corner of the restaurant to ensure everything went well.

Unsurprisingly, Twitter cant get enough of this, and wasted no time asking if the girls had any vacancies for a third wheel.

"I WANT TO BE FRIENDS WITH HER SO MUCH," wrote one while another added; "That's what best friends are for."

Georgia, take a bow.

We all know if you want to see famous people flaunting their wares, you rock up to Instagram.

But if you want to see famous people brawl it out amongst each other, you head right on over to Twitter.

And if there are two people capable of attracting a crowd within the Twitosphere, it's JK Rowling and Piers Morgan.

Considering that there's no love lost between the author and the Britain's Got Talent judge, JK decided to set a trap for the journalist, and it went down a storm among her followers.

Sharing a screenshot of a very flattering article which was penned abour her, JK wrote: "Just been sent this! Could the writer let me know who he is? I'd love to thank him. #Valentine's."

Wasting no time calling JK out for sharing the complimentary piece, Piers retweeted the author, writing: "Priceless #humblebrag BS."

"Nobody plays the celebrity game more abusively or ruthlessly than you, Ms Intensively Private Billionaire'.

And the kicker?

Piers himself had written the gushing prose way back in 2010… and there was no way in hell Twitter was going to let this one go.

"Hook, like and sinker, " wrote one while another added: "You do realise you wrote this and that's the joke?"

"I don't think it has quite dawned on him that he wrote this sycophantic tripe for the mail 6 years ago," remarked another

Piers, it might be time to admit defeat on this one.

It's fair to say that countless people are still struggling to come to terms with Donald Trump's ascension to the Oval Office.

And while we all know his feet are firmly under the table at the White House, many are reluctant to award him the same level of respect garnered by his predecessors by acknowledging his official title – President of the United States of America.

So, with a nod to the press and public's abbreviation of the title (POTUS,obvs), some wily sorts out there in the Twitosphere have set about re-working it to illustrate their disdain for his position.

Ladies, without further ado, we give you SCROTUS – So-Called Ruler of the United States.

And Twitter is, unsurprisingly, having a field day over it.

The last time we were told Beyoncé deserved an award more than its recipient was when Kanye West relieved a stunned Taylor Swift of her MTV Moon Man back in 2009, and insisted the Single Ladies singer had been robbed of the accolade.

Thankfully, this time around, the person doing the insisting was the same person who actually received the gong – the only and only Adele.

After winning a Grammy for Album of the Year last night, the Londoner paid tribute to Beyoncé who shed tears from her seat in the audience as she listened to the When We Were Young singer gush over Lemonade.

And while the vast majority of us celebrated Adele's unbridled adoration for Queen Bey, some corners of Twitter are a little more cynical.

From suggesting Adele mentioned Beyoncé in order to avoid being considered racist (say what?) to others insisting Beyoncé didn't deserve the praise, not everyone was as impressed by the heartfelt speech as the rest of us.

We'll let Twitter take it from here…

Valentine's Day is just around the corner, and while we're happy for the loved up couples (really, we are) the forever-alone-feels are hitting hard.

However, fellow singletons have taken to Twitter to complain about the realities of being single on the big day.

14. Just be grateful this isn't you.

13. A little bit a lot…

12. Back in the day, when these holidays really mattered.

11.  Every cloud has a silver lining.

10. TRUTH.

 9. So real it hurts.

8. Nothing if not consistent.

7. Not planning on leaving the house.

6. At least the hint dropping and present swapping isn't a problem.

5. Even Tesco is slagging the singletons.

4. What a cruel world.

3. Get a grip girl, you don;t need no man!

2. Pizza never leaves you for another.

1. Maybe we will leave the house, but just to do this

We've been so caught up with Sophie Turner and her new babe Joe Jonas that we totally missed this little beauty of a tweet she sent out last week.

One Trump supporter tweeted a picture of Donald and Melania, and asked "Name a better duo? I'll wait."

The Game of Thrones star saw the tweet and was quick to fire back, tweeting this pretty brutal photo:

And the Internet was SOLD:

Even the original tweeter was ALL about it:

Sophie then followed it up with this tweet, as a reminder of where she stands:

If anyone has a serious case of The Fear this morning, it's one particular branch of Domino's Pizza after an employee was snapped in a compromising position in a well-known highstreet supermarket.

So, it all kicked off when the guy, who was wearing a Dominos uniform, was photographed stocking up on potato wedges in a branch of Aldi in the UK.

Taking to social media to call the pizza giant out on the apparent indiscretion, SineadSarah shared the snap before writing: "Thank you @dominos – next time I spend 3.99 on tiny portion of potato wedges, I'll remember there from Asda." (sic)

Twitter users, unsurprisingly, wasted no time getting in on the drama as the tweet racked up more than 17,000 likes in less than 24 hours.

"Free Pizza for life coming her way so she doesn't reveal any more of your secrets!" wrote one (exceptionally gleeful) social media user.

"I feel so betrayed," added another.

Weighing in on the controversy, a spokesperson for the international franchise acknowledged the public's outrage, and hastened to offer an explanation for the move.

"With a big sporting weekend, very occasionally our stores are in an unfortunate position where some products may run out," she said.

"We do not advocate this as a solution and are investigating. We have rigorous food standards where our franchisees buy all food from our approved suppliers to help maintain the high standards customers rightly expect.”

Right, so…

Look, when it comes to Twitter put-downs, J.K Rowling is a master of her craft.

From rejecting racist ideology with cutting one-liners to calling people out on their blatant hypocrisy, the Harry Potter author takes no prisoners (from Azkaban or otherwise) on Twitter.

Reminding the Twitosphere of her quick wit earlier this week, the author appeared to encourage a disgruntled Twitter user to burn her DVDs after he took exception to her stance on Trump's executive order.

Hitting out at the author, the Twitter user wrote: "Glad I caught this article on yahoo. I will now burn your books and movies too."

Ripping it out of her critic, J.K hit back with an invitation to go right ahead as he may be doing society a favour.

"Well, the fumes from the DVDS might be toxic and I've still got your money, so by all means borrow my lighter," she invited in a response which amassed a staggering 375,000 likes in one day.

And it didn't end there.

Responding to a tweet from a girl who said she burned her entire Harry Potter collection, J.K suggested that some people were beyond help.

"Guess it's true what they say, you can lead a girl to books about the rise and fall of an autocrat, but you still can't make her think."

Never change J.K, never change.
