For a great many people, Donald Trump's true colours were shown long before this weekend, but if current commentary is anything to go by, it's a recently leaked tape which is likely to put the brakes on Trump's attempt to make it all the way to the White House.

Featuring conversation which took place between himself and TV presenter, Billy Bush, more than ten years ago, the tape confirms the argument that the business tycoon is little more than a sexist, misogynistic egomaniac.

From revealing he attempted "to f*ck" a well-known married woman to suggesting his 'star' status allows him to "grab women by the p***y", the leaked tape has intensified debate over Trump's suitability to hold office in the United States.

While Clinton supporters have used the tape to reinforce the argument that Hillary is the better candidate, Trump supporters haven't been shy in defending the billionaire against criticism.

And, unsurprisingly, Twitter is blowing up right now as members of the public argue the toss over the significance of the leaked recording.

In case you missed it, tickets for Coldplay's Croke Park gig went on sale yesterday morning, and despite queuing, refreshing, sweating and praying, countless fans emerged from their mission empty-handed.

And if Twitter is anything to go by, disgruntled fans know exactly who they want to blame.

Venting fury at Ticketmaster, members of the public have accused the outlet of providing their sister company with tickets which were ultimately sold at a higher price – an accusation which the company have denied.

Between the gig selling out in under forty minutes and tickets going for re-sale soon after, Twitter is not happy.

It normally takes a viewer approximately three episodes to decide whether they're in it for the long haul or one step away from giving up and switching over.

And when it comes to Gogglebox Ireland, it looks like the country officially made its mind up last night.

In a show which featured Terry Wogan, Kerry Katona and Stephen Rochford, the viewing public decided Gogglebox Ireland was an official winner.

Over the course of the TV3 show and long after, Twitter was awash with comments, quotes and gifs which perfectly summed up both the episode and the nation's reaction to it.

Twitter, you can take it from here.

1. High praise, indeed

2. She's every Irish mammy

3. They need to learn, in fairness

 4. Twice, you say?

5. Those twins can do no wrong

6. And finally…

Yesterday, we brought you the news that when it comes to stressing out their mates, dogs are clearly up there with friends who insist you need another shot… on a school night.

And while Jack and Archie were once Twitter's favourite pooches, they've had to make way for a dog who got his head stuck in a doughnut… and couldn't be happier about it.

Taking to social media to share an insight into her pet's thought process, Twitter user, Brielle, wrote: "I put this donut pillow on my dog 20 minutes ago and he loves it and won't let me take it off."

Brielle shared a variety of snaps and with 71,000 likes and counting, something tells us that when it comes to dogs and doughnuts, Twitter is fully on board.

Whether languishing on the kitchen floor on posing on the bedroom throw, this dog knows you're never fully dressed with a doughnut.

Commenting on the collage of adorable snaps, one Twitter user wrote: "That went from odd > silly > f*cking hilarious > utterly amazing in three pics."

"My mom's reply to this "Aww! Now everyone's gonna want one. Goes with everything!'" added another.

And then we had the guy who rolled out the slickest dad joke of all time, quipping: "Hmmm…. Dog with a doughnut around his neck… I guess deep down he wants to be a police dog!"

Oh, you!

If you're one of the thousands who have spent all week salivating over the thought of getting your hands on a Coldplay ticket, then it's likely you're pretty disappointed right now.

While countless fans prepped and primed themselves for this morning's ticket release, it looks like it just wasn't meant to be for so many Irish fans today.

According to emerging reports this morning, the Croke Park gig sold out in apparently just one minute… although we're thinking approximately 30 is more likely.

And Twitter is not happy at all.

Considering the pure angst on Twitter this morning, you'd swear no one was going, but you'd be wrong…

If you are or ever have been a pet owner, there's a good chance you have, at some stage in your life, played dead just to see how your pet would react to the scene.

And if you haven't, you're really missing out.

But if you think this bizarre activity is reserved for us humans, think again.

Taking to Twitter to give the public an insight into the relationship between her dogs, Jack and Archie, Sam Mhull shared footage of a recent exchange between the pair.

Rolling onto his back and allowing his head to loll backwards, Jack pretended he had met this maker… purely to freak out his little buddy.

"Jack has discovered that by playing dead he can scare the sh*t out of Archie," Sam told her followers, and Twitter cannot get enough.

"WE ARE NOT WORTHY OF DOGS," wrote one social media user while another added: "OMFG! that is so adorably heartbreaking. He's so upset over his buddy and the other dog is internally cracking up."

Jack, your work here is done.

She’s a total queen on Snapchat, but it seems Chrissy Teigen has had enough of Twitter.

Despite having almost three million followers, the popular American model has opted to privatise her account because she’s sick of absorbing negativity from the site.

But while most celebs leave the Twittersphere in a bid to escape trolls’ brutal comments, the Lip Sync Battle hosts says her decision was not influenced by haters.

Today she wrote: “It’s not haters or trolls or generally mean people.  I just feel like I am absorbing bad shit 24/7.  My body and mind cannot handle it anymore.”

The star has since ensured her current followers that they will still be able to view her tweets.

In the aftermath of Brangelina’s breakup, the Internet was quick to take sides with Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and – for whatever reason – Brad’s ex Jennifer Aniston.

But while most people watched the web-based hysteria from a distance, online retailer Missguided decided to get right in on the action.

On the back of the drama, the popular site released a trio of coloured t-shirts, each of which is donned with a “Team Brad”, “Team Angelina” or “Team Jen” logo.

While Missguided is well known for its cheeky approach to marketing, the move did not go down well with the brand’s followers, with many taking to Twitter to denounce the controversial tees.

One social media user wrote: “Hey @Missguided How about t-shirts which say ‘Team Not Pitting Women Against Each Other.’”

While another said: “Why are @Missguided selling “Team Brad”, “Team Angelina” and “Team Jen” t-shirts?  Bit rude cashing in on someone’s divorce like that, nah?”

It seems Missguided has not been swayed by the backlash, as all three tops are still available for purchase on the site.

When it comes to our wedding day, the dance us ladies generally focus on is the first one between ourselves and the person we've just married.

But if you think five minutes swirling around the floor to John Legend's All of Me gives you carte blanche to air guitar with your bridesmaids all evening, think again.

In a move which has lit a fire under bridal parties all over the world, one bride and her four bridesmaids decided to perform a perfectly choreographed routine to Beyoncé's Upgrade U.

And ladies, they slayed.

Calling on the ladies in their lives to get their own heads in the game in time for the big day, Twitters users have wasted no time tagging mates in an effort to set the ball rolling.

"Gals was genuinely gonna tag you and ask can we start rehearsals soon," wrote one while another added: "F**k yeah! We need to start preparing for Mary's wedding."

Unfortunately, not everyone was on board with one gal admitting: "I'm not in shape to do this. Sorry" and another explaining: "Just to clarify – this would be physically impossible for me to do if you're getting ideas."

Ah ladies, where's the enthusiasm?!

Arguments for and against gun control in the United States have waged back and forth between pro-gun lobbyists and anti-gun campaigners for decades.

And it looks like the National Rifle Association of America have decided to use Kim Kardashian's recent ordeal in France to taunt those who insist tighter gun control would result in fewer violent crimes.

Referencing France's stance on gun law, the association posted a series of sarcastic tweets which they feel highlights the supposed lack of logic from the anti-gun camp.

"Wait, criminals held @KimKardashian at gunpoint in Paris?" they tweeted late last night. "How is that possible? Does anyone know if they passed a background check first?"

"It's shocking that these criminals did not subject themselves to Paris' strict #guncontrol laws before committing this awful crime."

The association, which held a rally in Columbine shortly after the town's notorious school shooting in 1999, continued in this vein, tweeting: "We just think criminals should stop breaking the law. Oh wait."

Implying that stricter gun control has little bearing on criminal activity, they added: "NRA expresses confusion about how this happened. Guns aren’t really allowed in Paris, so…."

Many Twitters users were unsurprisingly put out by the association's perceived lack of sympathy for Kim, with one writing: "Nothing better than a snarky know-it-all in the wake of a tragedy."

"Excellent PR move there. Maybe you weren't hated enough yet. Sheesh," they added.

"What's more shocking is your lack of humanity," tweeted another in reply to the organisation's stance on the matter.

Kim has since returned to the States following Monday morning's incident.

If you have a boyfriend then there's no doubt you've probably taken your other half's hoodie on a cold day.

They're bigger, comfier, and smells like him, so it's a win-win all round.., well, for you, that is.

But, obviously, some guys might get a little miffed that their hoodie collection is dwindling to a scarce amount, so that's why one guy decided to fight back.

Twitter user, @YoungAdolf_, took to the social media site and said: “You can’t just take our hoodies this year without giving them back. This year we are fighting back.”

He then shared four photos of him wearing, presumably, his girlfriend's hoodies.

Pretty funny, right? Well, it caught on like WILDFIRE and now all of the men of Twitter are taking a stand.

The last one is our favourite! Do you steal you boyfriend's hoodie?
