The vast majority of us are filled with good intentions.

From vowing to volunteer to promising to pledge, so many of us intend to do something for those less fortunate than ourselves, but it's not too often we manage to make good on these promises.

So, it's no real surprise that one woman, who was determined to make a difference, has made waves on Twitter this weekend after a note she left for a stranger did the rounds on social media.

Having caught sight of it taped to a bin in Rathmines, one Twitter user snapped a shot and paid tribute to the woman's philanthropy, writing: "Wow. Found this taped to a bin in Rathmines. It's completely restored my faith in humanity."

"Dear friend, I saw you taking food out of this bin yesterday," it read. "No person should have to eat out of a bin or look through rubbish for food. I’ve left €10 behind the till for you in Starbucks."

"Pop in and get yourself something to eat. It’s under the name Fiona O’Malley," it continued.

"I’ll be there tomorrow morning doing some work between 9am and 11am if you want to meet me for a coffee. I’m the lanky blonde lady." it finished.

Fiona, you're the bomb.

For Kim Kardashian it took baring all with a champagne glass balanced on her ginormous behind to finally break the Internet.

But for Zayn Malik, it seems all that’s required is the spurting of a bit of facial hair.

Despite his ongoing personal struggles, the former One Direction band member made an appearance at Tom Ford’s New York Fashion Week party last night to support his girlfriend of almost six months Gigi Hadid.

But while the singer’s perfectly cut double-breasted suit and black polo combo ensured he was looking very dapper on the night, it’s his blossoming beard which really sent his fans into overdrive.

As usual Twitter has become the main outlet for Zayn’s fans’ frenzy, so naturally we’ve compiled some of the best reactions to Zayn's beard for your enjoyment.  Check them out below:

We knew this was coming, and yet nothing prepared us for the chaos seen in Dublin city and its suburbs today.

With the memory of the recent Luas strikes still fresh in the public’s mind, we squared our shoulders and navigated the Dublin Bus strike as best we could, but Christ it wasn’t easy.

Speaking ahead of the anticipated disruption, AA’s Conor Faughnan said: “I think it will be particularly bad on the N11 corridor coming in to town.”

“We're also likely to see heavy traffic on the Naas Road, the Lucan Road and on the northside, the Swords Road,” he added.

Commenting on this morning’s developments, a spokeswoman for AA Roadwatch said: “Traffic was backed up to Junction 6 Celbridge by 8.15am with long delays reported to the M50 which also saw increased volumes in traffic at a much earlier time than we would usually see.”

With an extra 25,000 cars on the roads, the vast majority of commuters spent hours at a standstill while others were involved in collisions as motorists struggled to contend with the heavier traffic.

Oh, and anyone who thought they had escaped the chaos by hopping on a Luas was in for a rude awakening as tram drivers announced a technical fault between Brides Glen and Carrickmines which ground services between the Green Line stops to a halt.

All in all, the morning's chaos made for some pretty classic tweets… you can't say we don't know how to laugh in the face of adversity.

We've no doubt there's a Mary Berry cookbook lying around somewhere in everyone's house… The woman can do no wrong when it comes to baking.

But one Twitter account is not praising her cakes, it's praising the way she eats them.

Basically, the no-context account is full of pictures from the latest series of GBBO and it's legit just snaps of Mary munching away.

This shouldn't be gas… but it so is. Here's Mary Berry Bites:

SO random, but so good.

Look, we all know that with a world of beauty comes a world of pain.

From waxing and threading to blistered heels and aching calves, looking good definitely comes at a price, and it looks like this girl just found hers.

In a move which has internet users falling all over themselves this week, Twitter user, Cachet, decided to share the moment she got stuck in her own face mask.

And hell, that girl can squawk.

After an agonising minute working the treatment off her skin, Cachet did what any girl would do in that situation, and decided to look on the bright side… for a moment.

"My skin is soft!" she told the camera before admitting that her face was, in fact, burning off her.

Despite Cachet's undeniable agony, members of the public are keen to focus on the results, with one writing: "I laughed but I lowkey wanna try it because her skin is nice."

"Skin looks buff though," wrote another Twitter use while someone else added: "Your skin pop though!"

And we thought getting our eyebrows threaded was something to shriek about…

Tyra Huntt started her final year in secondary school this week.

On her first day back after summer break, Tyra needed to get a photo taken for her student card.

Rather than opting for the classic smile, this high school senior decided to get creative with her photo opportunity.

Tyra PERFECTLY recreated her first day of Kindergarten picture, and the result is amazing.

Donning the same green hoodie and weary-eyed expression, it's safe to say that Tyra has already nailed her final year of schooling.

The teen shared the image on her Twitter, where it has received 108,000 likes and over 37,000 retweets.

People have taken to social media to applaud Tyra on her amazing sense of humour, calling her "a real life comedian" and "an absolute hero".

We salute you Tyra, good luck with your senior year!

There are very few of us who manage to navigate adult life without falling foul to a few moments of total idiocy.

Whether it's confusion over tax returns, bewilderment over car insurance or total bafflement over credit union loans – we all need a little helping hand in some matters,

And for Lauren Goodger, it's her TV licence.

Taking to Twitter yesterday, the reality TV star posed a question to her followers, and now people are struggling to believe she's made it this far in life.

"Man just knocked at my door for TV licence ? I paid there and then is this correct?" she asked.

And if that wasn't bad enough, poor ol' Lauren then admitted that she actually paid for something she already possessed, writing: "But I do actually have one? Does this happen normally."

Lauren's followers wasted no time telling her that this wasn't normal protocol, with one writing: "If I was u I wd ring police & to licence people & explain what's happened" (sic)

"Nooooooo lol that's not normal LG," replied her former co-star Vas Morgan.

Thankfully for Lauren, it doesn't sound like she'll be out of pocket for long as TV Licensing contacted her via Twitter asking for more further details before telling her they'd look into the matter for her.

Thank God for grown-ups.

Oh Lord, Twitter is a scary place to be sometimes.

And we can only assume Zayn Malik is quaking in his boots right now if a recent set of uploads to the social media site are proved authentic.

According to Twitter handle exposezaynmalik, the former 1D star has been cheating on girlfriend, Gigi Hadid, and they purport to have the messages that prove it.

Responding to the shots which appear to show Zayn flirting and attempting to meet up with a girl who most definitely isn't his girlfriend, Zayn's fans have insisted the messages are fake.

"If you're gonna make sh*t up, at least make sure you put the correct grammar/words and sh*t smh," wrote one while another added: "if you stanned him you would know better this is not his style and language of writing…honey you FAILED."

Dismissing accusations that they had photoshopped the messages, the Twitter account responded: "Funny yall call the screenshots fake but not the picture it self when it was taken by the same person zayn is talking too."

Offering details into the exchange which took place between Zayn and the girl, they insisted that the recent screenshots are only the tip of the iceberg, and revealed that they have further proof that Zayn has been unfaithful.

"Bare in mind we're not asking you to believe us if you want to stay in denial then ignore us but we don't care about you ranting to us." they wrote. (sic)

According to a report in Cosmopolitan, Zayn, Gigi and the girl reportedly involved in the supposed matter have yet to comment on the controversy.

With a town in Co Cavan still coming to terms with the sudden loss of five of its residents, social media users have taken to Twitter in their droves to draw attention to insensitive reporting on yesterday's tragic case.

The bodies of Alan and Clodagh Hawe, along with their three sons, were discovered at their home yesterday after a relative was unable to gain entry to the house in Oakdene, Barconey.

Commenting on the nature of the tragic discovery, Gardaí revealed that investigators were of the opinion that an individual within the home was responsible for the deaths.

"We believe all the answers are within that house – so therefore the most likely scenario is that one person in that house may have caused the death of the others,” Garda assistant commissioner John O’Driscoll said at a press conference.

After authorities confirmed they weren't looking for anyone else in relation to the deaths of the family of five, members of the public and various media outlets did much to reverse the strides our society has made in relation to mental health.

Reminding the wider public that tragic cases like this must be handled with extreme sensitivity, Twitter users took to the platform to air their views.

Yesterday was like an unexpected Christmas for Justin Bieber fans everywhere as it appeared to all that his fortnight long Instagram protest had come to an end.

But it seems the 22-year-old Canadian was left feeling Sorry about his apparent decision to return to the ‘gram as once again his account has disappeared into thin air.

As his fans discovered the modern day tragedy last night, the Love Yourself singer used Twitter – because he is still on that – to claim his brief return to the image sharing channel was “an accident”.

Without trying to soften the blow for the Beliebers in any way, JB wrote bluntly: “Still no Instagram it was an accident.”

Naturally Justin’s fans have been left devastated by the news.  One posted on Twitter: “Oh my gosh @justinbieber please please please undelete your Instagram.  I can’t function without seeing your posts.”

While another said: “Without you on Instagram @justinbieber it’s not the same.  I miss seeing you everyday.  But I respect it, although I don’t like it.”

There are a number of female celebrities who we'd happily walk over hot coals for. (Chrissy Teigen, we're looking at you.)

Whether it's their attitude, their humour or their sense of style, some women make us want to be bigger and better at everything we do, and for Lena Dunham, that person is Rihanna.

Taking to social media earlier this morning, the Girls actor laid bare her feelings for the Work singer, and Twitter cannot cope with the accuracy of the sentiment.

"I would literally do anything for Rihanna," Lena wrote in a post which has been liked thousands of times in mere hours.

"I just want to make her as happy as she makes me. Whatever seh needs," she continued. "That's not creepy, right?"

Reassuring Lena that it's totally OK to feel her feelings – whatever they may be – the star's followers admitted that the feelings she has for Rihanna are the exact same as the ones they have for her.

"Does it feel creepy if I say I feel the same for you." wrote one. "I knew it wouldn't. I can be your second best friend after riri."

"That's exactly how I feel with you and Jack," added another follower, referring to Lena's relationship with Jack Antonoff of Fun fame.

Some of of Lena's fans, however, decided to play Devil's Advocate with the actress and tested her limits when it came to her love for Ri-Ri.

"What if she called you at 4am just to talk from a different time zone cuz she was lonely on tour?" wrote one.

"Would you drive her to the airport?" they added. "Would you help her move?"

Something tells us it'd be a yes on all fronts.
