As today marks Proclamation Day in Ireland's 1916 Centenary Programme, schools all over the country gathered to express their vision for Ireland's future.

And over on Twitter, Newstalk decided to get adults in on the event too, by asking people what being Irish meant to them.

The results, unsurprisingly, were brilliant.

#BeingIrishMeans…

Unpronouncable first names

Having strange tea-making rituals

Never being able to serve tea to visitors without the obligatory kilo of biscuits

Taking strange pride in our ability to complain

Always saying thanks to the bus driver, unless they've committed a cardinal sin

Never being without someone to talk to

Ah, it's good to be Irish!

Have the Kardashian family officially gone into meltdown mode? First Kanye freaks out (many, many times) on Twitter, then yesterday his wife, Kimmy K started off, blasting other celebs and now Kylie has gone on a rant of her own. Oh, and don't forget about Scott with his grossly inappropriate comment on Kourtney's pic yesterday.

The youngest sister noticed someone commenting about her bodyguard and her money, so she blasted them, saying she doesn't give a f**k about them.

She then proceeded to share "good vibes" – much like her brother-in-law Kanye tweets after one of his rants.

But she didn't stop there. Nope, since Kim was getting a lot of hate for her nude selfies, Kylie decided to take her sister's side and declare she is a "legend."

We're guessing Kourtney or Khloe is next. Watch this space.

Ah, Kanye. Yes, yes, we know he's become super annoying and we just can't stand him going on another ridiculous rant, but we have to say, he pulled this one out of the bag.

After the rapper tweeted a picture of him listening to music on Youtube, eagle-eyed Deadmau5 spotted that Kanye was using an illegal torrent site.

The DJ slammed Kanye in a bunch of tweets, but really, it's Kanye – and Deadmau5 probably should have known better.

Mr West ripped it out of him, and to ne honest, it's genius:

Ah, Kanye. Fair play with this one.

Honestly, they were amusing at first, but Kanye is taking his Twitter rants a bit too far now.

This time he hit out at the Grammy Awards, then tried to shut down concerns about his mental health, and he also made a really big promise we doubt he's going to keep.

He started off with trying to reach out to Neil Portnow, the president of the Recording Academy:

He then accused the Academy of racism:

Next, Kanye tried to tell the world that he's not crazy:

Then he made THIS statement:

And a promise he certainly won't keep. Come on Kanye, you JUST released a new album a few days ago:

All we're wondering is how the HELL Kim puts up with this.

Not only is Kanye causing rifts in the music business, he's also making a rift between his wife's family.

People have revealed that Kris Jenner isn't too happy with her son-in-law's Twitter rants of late and thinks he's going way too far.

A source close to the momager said: "Kanye said embarrassing things that affect the whole family.

"Kris told Kim that she was concerned over his outbursts, his tweets and unnecessary attention-seeking."

But apparently, the talk between mother and daughter didn't go so well and Kim basically told her mam to "butt out."

"Kim asked Kris to stay out of it. It got a little heated."

To be honest, we're s little sick of him freaking out at EVERYBODY, and let's be honest, he seems like a really sore loser.

We're just surprised Kimmy K is putting up with it all.

We thought with his fashion show and album being released he'd finally calm down with the Twitter rants, but once more Kanye has taken to the social media site to vent about a music producer.

Bob Ezrin has worked with some of the biggest names in music including Lou Reed, Alice Cooper, Kiss, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Nine Inch Nails and Pink Floyd, so it's a wonder Kanye slammed him – but then again Bob did criticise the rapper, and well, it's Kanye.

The music producer said that Kanye "isn't on the creative level of some other prominent artists" on Monday.

So last night, Mr West produced this storm of tweets:

And it didn't stop there, Kanye even asked him to never speak to him in public again:

OK Kanye, whatever you say.

It happens every year, but it never gets us any less gleeful.

After a fairly rotten winter (looking at you, Storms Desmond and Jonas), we seem to finally be emerging out the other end.

Yes, it's still bitterly cold and intermittently lashing rain, but the evenings are slowly getting brighter and the people of Ireland are positively GIDDY.

Last night the sun didn't set until 5.50pm, and Twitter had an absolute field day.

People could barely string sentences together, they were so excited:

There were a lot of post-work pictures:

Some regressed into Irish Mammy-isms:

People have long attempted to figure out why we get such indescribable joy from leaving work to a still-bright sky, but it's just one of those THINGS, isn't it?

Ah, the #grandstretch. Long may it last.

Everyone and their mother has been wondering what the hell is up with Kanye West at the moment.

We know he's a super busy guy, trying to juggle a high maintenance wife, two kids, a fashion line and a new album but some of his ramblings on Twitter are majorly OTT.

Not only did he declare that he thinks Bill Crosby is innocent, he also let the world know that he's $53m (€47m) in debt. Ouch.

But one website has put together a stream of his tweets and there seems to be a hidden message in them. And not any old message, no, it's a Harry Potter message.

College Humour has been trying to decipher his hastily written posts and this is what they found:

Yep, it spells out 'I AM LORD VOLDEMORT'.

Although they aren't in order, the peeps over at College Humour think Kanye has been trying to work his magic on us.

And like he said himself, "name one genius that isn't crazy."

Actress and writer Joan Collins no doubt gets some weird tweets from time to time, but lately she's had more to deal with than usual.

With the 2016 General Election for the Republic of Ireland just ten days away, another Joan Collins has been very active indeed on social media, leading to quite a bit of confusion.

The Independent Dublin South Central TD has been using her Twitter account to help her get her campaign message across – but not everyone has been replying to her using the right handle.

Joan (the five-times-married actress, not the TD) took to Twitter today to set some confused voters in the right direction.

"You got the wrong Joan Collins – the one you want is @JoanCollinsTD," she wrote in response to a tweet about State finances.

Joan's name-twin soon picked up on the high-profile mention, tweeting soon after to say, "Today has so far been a good day. I even have the other Joan Collins forwarding on my messages."

If only there was a Hollywood star out there named Enda Kenny, the whole election campaign would be a LOT more entertaining.

The second episode of the brand new series only aired last night – but it appears that much of the nation is already firmly hooked on Room To Improve.

And while a week ago the hit RTE show prompted plenty #teamMotherinlaw discussion, yesterday folk were more focused on THAT concrete wall.

Given pride of place in owner Ian Callaghan's living room at his newly acquired Co Louth abode, the grey slab seemed to be loved and loathed in equal measure by viewers.

Also catching the attention of viewers was brooding British Airways pilot Ian, who bought the 1930s property last year and renovated it with the help of his girlfriend, Claire Moore.

And it seems that 31-year-old Ian is more than just a handsome face: he was hailed as a hero last year when his place went on FIRE on the runway in Las Vegas.

With some 180 passengers and crew on board his Boeing 777-200 aircraft, he and Captain Chris Henkey safely evacuated the plane when one of the engines burst into flames shortly after take-off.

Afterwards, authorities in the US praised the duo for their quick-thinking and calm demeanour.

Claire, who had been dating Ian for more than a year when the frightening incident happened last September, told the Irish Mirror at the time: "I have flown with him loads of times so I know how confident and competent he is and what he did in Vegas just confirmed all that."

Meanwhile, a cartoon depicting how each episode of Room To Improve pans out it currently doing the rounds on social media.

Created by Dublin-based artist Twisted Doodles, the illustration includes a nod to budget woes and colour clashes, before wrapping up with Dermot desperating asking: "Why don't people listen to me?"

We think Kanye West needs to get his priorities straight.

We haven't even seen a glimpse of his son Saint's face, yet he tells us all that he's $53 MILLION (€47m) in debt.

And he shares this news on Twitter no less, for the whole world to see, just before he made an appearance on SNL last night.

The rapper tweeted: "I write this to you my brothers while still 53 million dollars in personal debt… Please pray we overcome… This is my true heart…"

Kanye's confession about his finances comes after he went on many Twitter rants this week, blasting Taylor Swift, defending his new clothing collection (yet again) and supporting his father-in-law Caitlyn Jenner.

While Kimmy K didn't address the debt on social media, she supported her husband on Twitter by sharing photos of his SNL performance and posting a link to Tidal so fans could download his new album.

In the realm of Kanye West, taking to social media to express your anger is becoming something of the norm.

While the illusive Yeezy Twitter rant used to be something of a spectacle, a rant a day from the rapper is quickly becoming tiresome.

BUT we still could not help writing about this one because once again, it was just so damn funny.

This morning, Kanye took to Twitter to take down MediaTakeOut, who posted this article on Yeezy's Season 3 fashion show in New York yesterday.

And yeah they had nothing good to say.

But Kanye was quick to remind the site that his collection was nothing short of mindblowing.

He then got kind of philosophical about the whole thing

He once again affirmed that his show changed people's lives… like forever

Then he got Kanye mean

Then he reminded us that he is a living person with feeeeeelingssss

And he basically went on about how he is changing the face of fashion

And then he simply lost it

And then just like that, he was gone…

Thank you, Kanye.
