As much as we complain about not being able to get our point across in 140 characters, 10,000 characters is a tad bit excessive.

But in a report from Re/Code yesterday, Twitter Inc is in talks about expanding the original limit.

The social networking site may launch the service early this year and sources say that it may change its character count even before the official product is unveiled.

Jack Dorsey, Twitter's co-founder, said that the company has seen more and more people sharing screenshots of texts as a way to get around the limited character count.

"We're not going to be shy about building more utility and power into Twitter for people. As long as it's consistent with what people want to do, we're going to explore it."

But some users aren't exactly happy about the expanded limit, and even made a hashtag, #beyond140. "Just say no to #beyond140," users commented.

Today and yesterday, #IrishUpAMovieOrActor started to trend on Twitter, and while we knew we'd get a few laughs from it, we didn't expect comedy GOLD.

Many took to the social media site to Irish up some of our beloved movies, and as simple as the changes are, we kinda wish that they were real movies, because we'd totally watch them.

Here, we picked our top 10 that will put a smile on your face and make you forget the horrible rain outside:

1. All roads lead to Belfast

2. A nod to the former Taoiseach

3. And the ever popular, Father Ted

4. Because the Nite Link in Dublin can be mega scary sometimes

5. We prefer Cate Blanchett's new name

6. Sounds better, right?

7. Now, this would be brilliant

8. Because not everyone in Ireland can…

9. Feck is as common an Irish word as potato

10. A cute pig doing a jig? This NEEDS to happen

We all wish we could give a little more to people in need, especially at this time of the year. Well, SPAR is now making it that little bit easier for all of us.

Along with the National Children’s Hospital, SPAR is supporting the charity with a fun and handy campaign – The Twitter Tree.

The convenience store is asking the public to simply tweet the hashtag #UnderTheTree in order to light up a bulb on its Christmas tree. And once all the bulbs are lit, SPAR will donate €20,000 to the National Children’s Hospital. Amazing, right?!

And as well as that, whenever you purchase a SPAR own-brand product, a donation is made to the hospital. The campaign ran last year too and as you can imagine, the donation helped out the hospital and the kids for the whole year round.

Right now, there are 395 lights left to be lit up! And only you can change that. As SPAR says, “Your tweet will help make Christmas brighter.”

So, tweet away, ladies! #UnderTheTree at SPAR!

The Wright family only lost their beloved Nanny Pat last week, but that didn't stop horrible football supporters shout insults at Mark's brother, Josh.

Gillingham footballer, Josh Wright, was playing a game against Millwall yesterday when the opposing side taunted Josh about his late grandmother.

Mark attended the game with his father, who was celebrating his 59th birthday, and took to Twitter shortly after the match to share his outrage.

The 28-year-old wrote: "Football is football and hating on the opposing players is all part of it.

"The few fans chanting disgusting stuff RE our nan is so low."

But it didn't totally effect the boys day out as Josh's team won 3-0 in the end.

"The thousands of @TheGillsFC fans singing THERES ONLY ONE JOSH WRIGHT at 3-0 up puts a smile write back on our faces," Mark continued.

Mark and his family certainly know how to get back on those haters.

In recent weeks, Kimmy K has been pretty open about the €1m diamond present she wants as a push present from Kanye.

But the reality star will have to wait a little while until her hubby has time to go shopping.

The rapper took to Twitter on Saturday to announce to the world that he really doesn't want to be bothered for a while, and apparently he's warning everyone of the consequences.

He wrote on his social media account, "No offense to anyone… I'm asking everyone DON'T ASK ME FOR ANYTHING TILL AFTER I'M FINISHED WITH MY ALBUM," and then followed with "I'm finishing my album and my next collection…"

The clothes designer has been hard at work creating his seventh studio album, Swish. But signs are it's taking a long time to complete.

Maybe Kanye might cheer up after hearing his daughter, North, sent her first tweet

She may just be two years old but that didn't stop North West from trying to keep up with her mother, Kim Kardashian.

The 35-year-old announced on Twitter that she just realised North tweeted off her phone after the little girl somehow gained access to her 37m followers.

North wasn't selective with her words though, tweeting, "jhjhh'/."

But this isn't the first time North has gotten hold of Kim's phone and tried her hand at social media.

In October, Kim shared a sexy throwback photo on Instagram – which she promptly insisted her daughter was the one who shared it.

"North posted this while playing games on my phone. Not sure why or how she chose it but I'm not complaining! LOL I deleted it so now reposting it myself! #FBF from 10 years ago," she captioned the image.

Look, we all know that there is one thing that without fail will make us turn into a blubbering mess.

Everyone has something that can get the waterworks started instantly. However, there does tend to be certain individuals who just cannot seem to stop themselves, ever.

The glass case of emotion quote is not even sufficient to describe their habits. We know certain people whose hydration levels we worry about on a near daily basis.

We don't know why, and sometimes it seems perhaps too forward or insensitive to ask.

Maybe they've been given some bad news, then it is probably best to leave it alone. Or maybe they are just too in touch with their feelings. Something will no doubt set them off at some point. We can’t imagine how you would cope when living with one such individual in close quarters.

Well, one writer does and has decided to document what makes his wife cry. His list has become a viral sensation.

Since he wrote the list, and then very kindly posted a picture on Twitter, people around the world have been sharing the snap.

“There were no biscuits in the house,” is a fairly common cause for a few tears thank you very much.

Also, who hasn’t ever been in a terribly fragile state and gotten teary eyed at the sight of an adorable animal?  She is not alone in her love of small animals!

"A lot of people have accused her of being pregnant or having emotional problems but the thing is she is just a sensitive soul," Aaron told Cosmopolitan.com.

"She's quite fantastically sweet like that. I don't think she ever thought the world would be worrying about why she randomly cries at everything."

Kevin Federline was kinda famous for a while… we suppose.

He was the notorious back-up dancer that married Britney back in 2007, and even though he is the father to Brit's sons, he hasn't been really relevant on the celeb scene in a good few years.

So when he started to bash the Queen of music, Beyoncé, Twitter went into total meltdown.

Over the weekend, K-Fed replied to a tweet about Bey's boobs, which made an appearance at Britney's Las Vegas show:

But the back-up dancer didn't stop there. He then went on to make an observation about her face (as if the boob tweet wasn't silly enough):

If anything, "sawface" reminds you of the most terrifying movie, Saw. And the last time we checked, Beyoncé probably has one of the most beautiful faces on the planet (am I right?).

But of course, Kevin's tweets didn't go unnoticed and Beyoncé's fan completely shut him down:

That'll be the last time you publicly shame a women Kev.

She's been under a lot of pressure recently. Indeed, Lauren Murray even removed herself from the X Factor contestants' house – citing the constant presence of cameras as her reason.

"I felt like I could never relax. It's intense," the 26-year-old said in the aftermath.

But despite the change in living arrangements, it seems that Ms Murray is still a little on edge.

Indeed, video footage from the weekend appears to show that she SHOVED a fellow contestant on stage. Ouch.

Eagle-eyed viewers took to Twitter following the incident – in which Lauren can be seen shunning the embrace of a member of 4th Impact as the public vote was announced.

The solo star, who is being mentored by Rita Ora, also appeared agitated and upset at the time.

Understandably, plenty of fans of the show were unimpressed with her behaviour – with several suggesting that the Essex-native had gotten too big for her boots.

Many also claimed to have seen Lauren say "get the f**k off me" at the same time.

Though at least the girlband in question were more than happy to brush off the apparent snub; after last night's show 4th Impact tweeted that Lauren was like a "big sister" – making sure to include plenty of heart emojiis in their message too.

Meanwhile, Ms Murray herself also took to the same social media platform to downplay the situation. Confirming that she "adored" her rivals, she added that people just "love a bit of drama".

The fans of I’m A Celebrity went into a totally meltdown last night and began angry claims that the show is fixed. Following one unfortunate Bushtucker Trial that involved some ‘deadly’ crabs, viewers were less than pleased with what they had seen.

Jorgie Porter, Brian Friedman and Lady Colin Campbell had to take on a mud crab and snakes in the challenge on Friday, however, despite the claims of the dangerous nature of the crabs some viewers discovered something slight off about the challenge.

"Not fair on the crab, its got it's claws restrained. That's cruel to the animal," one user wrote after spotting the crabs on screen with their claws bound.

A close-up had revealed that Jorgie and other challengers would not actually be in any danger from the crabs because their sharp claws were in fact tied together.

Fans immediately took to social media in order to draw attention to the ‘fix’. They were less than pleased.

"What's the point of putting a mud crab in when it's claws are immobilised?" asked another view. More took to Twitter to call the show a 'fix':

"Absolute fix. Poor show #AntandDec the winners weren't even drinking their shots properly. Just throwing them down their torsos."

Viewers were also less than pleased when Vicky Pattison was dunked in the splash pool despite the fact that she won her part of the live trial.

When Ant and Dec mistakenly announced her fate eagle-eyed viewers were quick to spot  the second slip-up of the evening.

The pair were forced to apologise live on air after the supposed mix up.

Meanwhile, Made In Chelsea star Spencer Matthews left the reality competition and has since become the focus of some serious speculation.

The Mirror reports that his abrupt departure is a result of a “secret steroid addiction”.

In a statement he explained: “My admission to the production team that I was still taking these pills led to the conclusion that it would be unsafe for me to stay in the jungle- a decision which I found extremely hard to stomach.”

He admitted that in the run up to a charity boxing match, which “ironically never took place” he had started taking the supplements to bulk up.

He added: “Taking these pills was a serious error of judgement, which I hugely regret.”

We are in support of pretty much anything festive these days. November is a month filled with the promise of tinsel, giant Christmas trees and matching jumpers for the whole family (including Rover the puppy).

We cannot wait to see what happens when December arrives.

However, a certain lunch item that is claiming to be exactly what we would expect when it comes to festive desserts has sent the internet into meltdown.

Tesco is selling an Everyday Value Chocolate and Cherry Mascarpone Christmas sandwich on cinnamon bread and no one seems to be able to deal with this news.

A picture of the new meal deal item was shared on Sh*t London’s Facebook page by Londoner Nic Branch who captioned the image: ‘More gold at Tesco’. Since then people have been taking serious issue with the sandwich.

‘Chocolate and cherry sandwiches? Has the world gone mad?’ asked Jane Craigie-Payne.

Others legitimately questioned the cherry content. Tesco seemed to be able to have a laugh about all the fuss:

Luckily, Metro were able to speak with someone who had actually tried the interesting foodie concoction. Seb Budd explained:

“The first few bites were actually OK. The cinnamon bread was a nice touch but after a few more mouthfuls I soon began to realise that this is the sort of sandwich you’d buy to tell someone you really don’t like them.”

Oh?

Seb must not be a mascarpone fan then, but we feel like this might be something that we need to taste-test for ourselves to be absolutely certain.

This year the X Factor has apparently been feeling the pressure.  Viewers had a field days on Sunday when a slip-up on behalf of presenter Olly Murs caused havoc.

Fans were less than pleased when it seemed he ignored Harry Styles following their performance on the results show. To be fair, Olly simply could have been under pressure for time. So, while it was very awkward to watch, it was nothing in comparison to the real X Factor snafu, which happened just a few minutes later.

Before this week's results were announced, the tension for the elimination was being built up with the show’s trademark dramatic music and tense pauses.

During one of these another error managed to make it our screens.

The graphic should have read whose, not who’s.

TV critic Ian Hyland spotted the mistake and quickly shared it with his Twitter followers.

Oh dear… And to round things off with a nice hat trick, it seemed like Olly's presenting jitters got the better of him yet again with a final error.

After the sing-off between Anton Stephans and Monica Michael, the judges took the vote to deadlock.

Rather than announcing the results of the public vote, Olly went ahead and informed Monica she would be going home- before the envelope supposedly containing the name of the losing contestant had even made it on stage.

Not the best week for the show, then.
