If there's one thing we know for sure, it's that dogs really are too pure for this world.

Aside from being downright adorable, their loyal and caring nature is often wasted on us mere humans, and honestly they deserve so much more.

And that's not even to mention the thousands of service dogs that devote their lives to helping people with disabilities, whose good work of course earns them and extra special treat every now and again.

Twitter user Nicole Brown spread some joy across the internet this weekend when she posted photos of Labradors and Golden Retrievers stopping for a break while they sported their cutest Disney attire.

It was later revealed that the adorable doggos were from Canine Companions, a service which provides highly trained and skilled service dogs to people with disabilities, particularly autism.

The field trip is just one of the ways the company rewards the dogs for all their hard work, but as well as being a fun day out, it also serves as a fundamental part of their training.

As theme parks are filled withe huge crowds, small children and loud noise, the exercise teaches the dog how to cope in stressful situations.

Our hearts ever never felt so full!

The art of writing fiction is expressed differently by everyone who seeks to pursue the challenge of crafting a novel.

However, some female fiction fans have noticed that female-identifying characters in some male-written novels are rather two-dimensional.

One Twitter user challenged the internet to describe themselves like the trope of a male author would.

While there are undoubtedly hundreds of esteemed male authors, the responses to the call were quite familiar:

Ah, April Fool's. That one day of the year the when some the world's least funny people unite over a love of bad jokes and ridiculous fibs.

Sure, we loved the chaos it cause when we were children – after all, what seven-year-old doesn't get a kick out of telling their mother they put bleach in the washing machine – but as we grow up, the mischievous air around the first day of April is replaced by copious amounts of eye-rolling and sighing.

At the end of the day, it's all a bit of fun, and perhaps we're just too old and cynical to see the pint in any of it, but after a quick scroll through Twitter, it's safe to say we're not the only ones who feel this way.

Here's some of our favourite anti-April Fool's tweets so far.

1.  … yay!

2. It's the best way.

3. Ruining it for everyone.

4. Just the tip of the iceberg tbh.

5. We'll all get caught out sooner or later.

6. He's got a point.

7. It's honestly not even worth it.

8. Let's just do away with the old tradition altogether

With a date for the referendum finally set, the conversation around the eight amendment is louder than ever.

As both sides prepare to kick off their campaigns, more and more influencers are beginning to voice their stance on the topic

Jen Morris, or Too Dolly Makeup as she's known to her followers online, recently broke her silence on the subject in an emotional Twitter thread, explaining how a personal battle with fertility shaped her and opinion, before subsequently changing her mind.

At just 17-years-old, Jen had her ovaries removed over fears that she would develop cancer in a matter of years.

Faced with the reality that she would never be able to have conceive a child, she admitted how she struggled to accept how someone could willingly make the decision to terminate a pregnancy.

Understandably, it took Jen a long time to disconnect her personal experience from the greater picture, admitting that for a time she thought she people were just "throwing a child away".

In the wake of the not guilty verdict given by the jury in the Belfast rape trial of Paddy Jackson and his teammate Stuart Olding, people have been taking to Twitter to express their support for the victim.

Blane McIlroy and Rory Harrison were also found not guilty of perverting the course of justice and withholding information.

Public opinion clearly shows an opposing view to the verdict, with the #IBelieveHer trending in Ireland minutes after the verdict was read:

So, unless you're just back from a tech-free yoga retreat, or somehow slept through the last 48 hours, you'll know there's one questions that's diving the internet – who bit Beyoncé?

Yesterday we reported that in an interview with GQ, Tiffany Haddish revealed that she has witnessed an unnamed actress bite the Lemonade singer on the face at a Jay-Z after party in Los Angeles last December.

As expected, the rumour mill has been in overdrive ever since, and the bookies have even started to take bets on the scandal.

Lena Dunham is the current favourite, FYI.

It's basically this generation's version of 'Who shot JR?', but now, thanks to the power of social media, we can all share our crazy theories, and perhaps even get to the bottom of this once and for all.

Here's some of our favourites:

1. C'mon Chrissy, just spill!

2. Stranger things have happened…

3. Highly unlikely tbh.

4. Becky with the good teeth.

5. Can you imagine?

6. Solid guess.

7. Please let this happen!

8. Don't even go there.

Despite many companies taking strides towards gender equality, the fact of the matter is that women are still experiencing huge push-backs in the work place.

From unjustified pay discrepancies to disrespectful colleagues, female workers often need to go above and beyond in order to receive the same recognition as their male peers.

Last week, Martin Schneider, a writer and editor at an entertainment publication, took to Twitter to share the challenges he faced after a technical glitch meant that his emails were accidentally signed off with the name of his female co-worker, Nicole Hallberg.

Giving his followers a little background, he explained how his boss was always complaining about how long Nicole took to work with clients.

As her supervisor, it was Martin's responsibility to encourage his colleague to work at a faster pace – though he admits he didn't see it as a huge issue, and was only doing it to keep his boss happy.

Now, here's where the story gets really interesting.

After a string of rude and uncooperative replies from a certain client, Martin realised the problem – all his correspondence had been signed off using the the name “Nicole”.

No prizes for guessing what happened next.

After informing the client that he had taken over the project, Martin saw a huge improvement in communication.

Curious as to whether this was a regular occurrence, Martin asked Nicole if she experienced this kind of behaviour a lot.

The pair then decide to conduct a two-week experiment, during which time they would sign their emails using each others names.

Martin decided to bring this blatant example of gender bias to the attention of his boss – but as expected, he was having none of it.

The thread garnered huge attention online, with many Twitter users sharing the story in an attempt to highlight the kins of sexism that women are forced to deal with on a daily basis.

Every now and again, a Twitter thread comes along that forces us into a loud fit of snort laughing while sitting beside a stranger on a packed commuter bus.

This my friends, is one of those.

Taking to the social network site, Twitter user Dan McDaid, hypothetically speaking, shared that if his last text message was to be written on his gravestone, it would read "I'll be up shortly" – which is most both optimistic and creepy in equal measures.

He then asked his followers to reveal there last text messages, and well, the results were hilarious to say the least.

Go on, give it a go!

In a rather sombre twist mine reads, "my heart just broke".

For the record, I was referring to a sad post I saw on Facebook, and not a serious medical problem – though it fits quite nicely.

Twitter user, Toni, recently started a thread about all the lies we believed growing up- and some of them are hilarious.

The tweet that started it off is particularly gross..

Luckily, the replies were equally as mindbogglingly funny.

This one's just plain cold…

Good luck sleeping at night after hearing this:

Or there's the foodie fibs…

Who's the liar now though?

Of course, there are threats of witches:

What do you think? What are the lies your parents told you?

Us Irish don't really cope well with the extreme weather, now do we? (Hurricane Ophelia, we're looking at you)

As the country braces itself for heavy snowfall, freezing temperatures and treacherous conditions, courtesy of The Beast from the East,  the Twitter folk of Ireland have done what they do best – made a complete joke out of the whole situation.

We're a gas bunch altogether!

The anticipation is palpable.

Priorities.

It's hard to argue with the facts.

Same, Grainne. Same.

Jaysus is right…

Shorts. He's wearing shorts!

And let's not forget about bread gate 2018.

As word landed this week that the Irish nation would finally be granted a referendum on the hugely contentious 8th amendment, thoughts travelled to the women who have already fallen victim to a system which refused to grant them bodily autonomy.

Indeed, today marks the 34th anniversary of 15-year-old Ann Lovett, who died from a post-partum haemorrhage after delivering her baby son alone in a grotto in Granard, Co Longford.

Ann's death in 1984 has subsequently acted as a symbol of a system which refused to place trust in its women, and today the Irish public are seeking to remember her bravery.

"Like many names and faces we know & will never know, she was betrayed by a culture that shamed and punished young unmarried pregnant women," wrote one Twitter user this morning.

Echoing this sentiment, many more used their platforms to pay tribute to the school girl who gave birth on a dark, cold night beneath a statue of the Virgin Mary.

Last night's Grammy Awards ceremony was full of touching moments and gripping performances, but few caught the attention of the viewing public quite like Kesha's powerful rendition of her song, Praying.

Joined by a host of female singers all dressed in white, the singer gave an emotionally charged performance of the song she wrote amid the very public lawsuit against her former producer Dr. Luke, who she accused of sexual and emotional abuse.

Cyndi Lauper, Camila Cabello, Julia Michaels and Andra Day were just some of the women to join the star on stage.

The fierce performance ended with Kesha wiping tears from her face as she hugged her fellow artists.

Earlier in the night, Praying lost out to Ed Sheeran's Shape of You in the Best Pop Solo Performance category, leaving many angered fans questioning the judging process.

Some argued that Ed's hit single, which contains lyrics about admitting a woman's body, was not an appropriate winner given that the award organisers had thrown their support behind the Time's Up and #MeToo movements.

Unsurprisingly, Twitter had a thing or two to say about the whole debacle.
