These days it feels like we can’t open our laptops without coming across another must have beauty product.

And while you might think the good people at Urban Decay have already outdone themselves this year with the launches of their shimmering highlighter and Vice Ltd Reloaded palettes, we’re here to tell you that there’s still plenty of good stuff on the way.

Hot on the heels of the much raved about Naked Ultimate Basics collection, the celebrated beauty brand is about to launch an absolute rainbow of a palette which – while not being for the faint hearted – has our inner unicorns bucking with excitement.

The limited edition Full Spectrum palette features 21 colourful shadows – 18 of which are new – which range from the highly pigmented canary yellow ‘Calavera’ shade right down to a shimmery silver called ‘Iced’.

Sneak peek of what's to come…say hello to Full Spectrum —21 shades (18 are new!) from bold brights to matte white. #ColorUnleashed #UrbanDecay

We have to admit, we love the Urban Decay eyeshadow palettes. They're constantly on point with the colours and have a staying power like no other.

But now, we're about to welcome the Urban Decay highlighter palette.

The make-up brand debuted their new high summer line on Instagram yesterday and it looks SO divine.

It features Twilight, an iridescent pink, Oasis, a marble-frosted taupe, and Pyrite, a gold-champagne, all in the same case with a double-sided brush.

We can't wait to try it!

We’re seriously big fans of Urban Decay around these parts.

From classic shades such a Gash, Acid Rain, and UV-B, to the more current range, it’s been an additively wonderful two decades of eyeshadow.

And now – hurrah! – a limited edition collection has been released to coincide with the anniversary.

The Vice Ltd Reloaded palette – the sequel of last year’s sell-out, hit Vice Ltd – is a great mix three new shades, five vintage shades, five exclusives from past palettes and seven bestsellers from the brand’s collection of singles.

Let’s face it too – Urban Decay is ALL about packaging. For this reboot, the iconic Vice Ltd case has been used, albeit this time drenched in black and topped it off with a purple jewelled UD icon.

Press the button to unveil the eye-candy inside, along with an oversized mirror and an double-ended brush.

Divine!

The limited-edition UD XX Vice Ltd Reloaded palette is priced at €49 and will be available exclusively from Debenhams or online at debenhams.ie from August 4, 2016.

Girls, if you are not sure if the new MAC foundation you got for Christmas is counterfeit or not, best to leave it aside.

Concerns are mounting after harmful ingredients have been found in a number of faked make-up cosmetics intended for the Irish market.

The Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA) have issued a statement that they have identified "harmful substances" present in a number of counterfeit products which take the names of well known cosmetics brands such as MAC, Benefit and Urban Decay

Some of the harmful ingredients found in these products include arsenic and lead.

The HPRA are urging consumers to be careful when buying counterfeit products from markets, shops and websites leading up to Christmas.

And according to the cosmetics compliance manager with the HPRA, Aoife Farrell, using these products regularly can have lasting, damaging consequences.

"Long periods of exposure to substances such as arsenic and lead can have potentially harmful effects on the body such as damage to numerous organs and systems, such as the kidneys, as well as the central nervous system."

"Symptoms can include abdominal pain, diarrhoea, headaches and vomiting."

"Even those products that may not contain banned substances are often manufactured in unhygienic conditions using poor quality raw materials. These products may lead to skin irritation or possibly eye infections."

So this Christmas, if you can't afford the real deal, better to go for some more affordable drugstore brands instead.

With an 8,000-strong waiting list for the Naked Smoky palette earlier this year, it's no surprise that there would be some hype around Urban Decay's next product launch.

And with Gwen Stefani coming on board to design the cosmetic house's latest palette, we reckon you'll need to get your name on that list fast.

The UD X Gwen palette officially launched this week in the US, though it won't be available for purchase until November 22.

Featuring a wide range of colours from nudes and neutrals to highly pigmented deep blacks, terracotta reds and one gorgeous creamy gold. the palette is a revelation.

According to Urban Decay founder Wende Zomnir, Gwen was extremely hands on in the design process, weighing in on everything from the choice of shades to the palette's gold metal casing.

Wende says the pair spent hours in her California home "talking makeup and working with her on EVERY detail of this launch."

Gwen seems equally delighted with the collaboration, based on shades that she uses to create her own make-up looks.

"We’ve made and created products that I actually wear every single day," she explained at the launch.

"It’s the real thing. I’m obsessed with everything we’ve done, and I can’t wait to share it."

And judging by these tweets, she's not the only one who is obsessed:

Get the UD x Gwen palette in Debenhams and House of Fraser from December, or online on UrbanDecay.com from November 22.

When it comes to creating a buzz around new products, Urban Decay are the experts – indeed, their Naked Smoky palette had an 8,000-strong waiting list when it launched in Ireland earlier this year.

So it's no surprise that cosmetic junkies are already queuing up to try out Vice 4, a limited edition palette featuring 20 never-seen-before shades in deep hues of blue, green and pink.

As well as a range of new shades, the darkly gorgeous palette comes with a large mirror, a chic coordinating bag and a double-ended brush – perfect for blending and buffing the pigmented eyeshadow down to the correct colour.

Today, SHEmazing! was invited to an Urban Decay Master Class with make-up artist Danielle Roberts, who showed us her take on some Vice 4 looks – starting with this magenta-hued smoky eye.

Of course, every pro knows that great eye make-up is not just about the colours you choose – it's about how you apply it.

Before using any shadow, Danielle prepped the lids with Urban Decay's new primer, Minor Sin.

The serum-like liquid creates a base that will hold the shadow all night long with no nasty residue.

She then prepped her brush with a spritz of Urban Decay De-Slick Make-up Setting Spray – usually used to hold make-up in place – to give the shadow a foil-like finish when applied.

On-trend or what?

For the rest of the face, Danielle mixed De-Slick with Urban Decay's B6 Complexion Spray  and the green-tea enriched Naked Skin Foundation.

To create a softer contour-like effect on the cheekbones and temple, Danielle suggests using Naked Skin Concealer in a shade three tones lighter than your foundation.

Make-up this season is grungy and apologetic (less Blake Lively, more Kylie Jenner), and we reckon the Vice 4 palette is the perfect addition to your Christmas party cosmetic arsenal.

Primers do for your skin what lingerie does for your body – they flatter, conceal, smooth out and hold things in place. Everything you put on top of them looks immediately better.

So, whether you want to hide your pores, smooth out fine-lines or mattify your skin, these primers will create the perfect base for whatever else you wish to wear:

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer

This primer has a very large and loyal fan base as it's great for giving skin a soft photo-finish and silky texture.

Benefit The Porefessional

Porefessional is devoted to minimising your pores and uses an oil-free formula for longer-lasting results.

Clinique Superprimer Colour Corrects

Clinique has a range of trouble-shooting primers that target different skin types. This colour-correcting formula one has a subtle bronze tint that will brighten up even the dullest face.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion

Now, we know this is only for your eye area but it's a brilliant formula that will help keep you eye make-up in place all day.

MAC Prep + Prime Natural Radiance

This beauty creates an even skin tone and the ideal base for make-up. It noticeably reduces any oiliness on your skin and you can choose the base colour to suit your skin tone.

Cosmetics brand Urban Decay broke records earlier this year for their Naked Smoky Palette, with 8,000 fans on the waiting list in Ireland alone.

But a new Urban Decay collection has just been announced, and we reckon it's going to have more of a cult following than any Naked palette ever did.

The edgy cosmetics house have teamed up with none other than Gwen Stefani for a brand new limited-edition make-up line, set to launch in late November.

The UD x GWEN STEFANI collection was co-designed by Gwen herself and the company's founded Wende Zomner, a long-time No Doubt fan.

The pair first collaborated earlier this year on a charity initiative called The Ultraviolet Edge, donating money to organisations that empower women.

"I remember hearing the song Just a Girl… and I remember thinking to myself, 'That girl is so cool. It would be really cool to work with her someday,'" Wende said at a UD x GWEN STEFANI press event this week. "It took 19 years, but it happened."

Gwen is said to have worked closely with Wende for the new (top-secret) collection, "talking makeup and working with her on EVERY detail of this launch—from the packaging to the formulation to the shades."

While no details of the line have been released yet, we're certain it will contain a bold red lipstick á la Gwen:

Though the collection will launch online in late November, it won't officially reach Irish stores until December, at which point it will be available for purchase in Debenhams and House of Fraser.

We're already WAY too excited.

In the age where brows are still big business, we are so delighted Urban Decay have launched this new product.

Urban Decay is famous for its cult classic beauty products, but their latest offering looks set to top all previous records.

The Naked Smoky eyeshadow palette hits Irish stores on August 6th, and 8,000 cosmetics lovers have already signed up to online and in-store pre-order lists to ensure they don't miss out. Retailing at €46, this is the fifth Naked palette to be created by the iconic beauty brand.

Though all the palettes contain a mix of neutrals and darker shades, the Naked Smoky is the first to be specifically designed for a smoky eye look. So confident are Urban Decay in the new 12-colour combo that they have called it "the key to nailing the most sought-after and elusive eye look ever."

Irish beauty writers and bloggers were treated to a preview of the palette at the official press launch this morning, and the reaction was overwhelmingly positive, with #NakedSmoky currently trending on Twitter in Ireland as a result.

Blogger Tara O'Farrell showed off a close-up look at the shades on Instagram – the palette contains three old favourites and nine completely new colours.

For us beauty amateurs, blush can be the trickiest make-up product to master. Sure, practice makes perfect, but a good investment blush can also work wonders, warming up and shaping your face.

So we were keen as mustard to try out Urban Decay's afterglow 8-hour powder blush, to see if it can claim a hot-spot in our make-up bags.

The brand promises that it lasts for a full eight hours, and afterglow is certainly gorgeously light with a creamy texture. It's also available in 12 different colours, meaning your should find your perfect hue regardless of whether you're looking to go vibrant, bold, subtle, or neutral. The finish of the blush varies, as some are matte and some are slightly more shimmery.

Thankfully, this is a blush which blends easily to avoid a build-up of powder. It also has light-diffusing pigments to make your skin look flawless.

Design-wise, there is a "UD" cut-out on the compact lid complete with a quirky fishnet design, and handily the shade can be seen through the cut-out.

Afterglow 8-hour powder blush is €28 and is available in selected Debenhams stores, and at House of Fraser in the Dundrum Town Centre.
