How can you tell if you two are really serious, or if it's just a flash in the pan?

Well, rewind ten or fifteen years and you'd have to cross your fingers that one of your friends overheard him mention you to HIS friend down the pub. Nowadays though, it's much easier to figure out what's what.

According to a new survey by Netflix, over half of couples (51%) believe that sharing the same Neflix login is a big indicator that things have turned into this-could-be-love territory.

In fact, 17% of those polled said they wouldn't even consider such a *gasp* drastic move until they were engaged or married.

With that in mind, we've put together a list of modern-day indicators that your relationship is built to last…

1. There's always a little flame next to his name on your Snapchat
The legendary flame emoji only appears if you have both been sending snaps to one another for multiple days in a row. So that definitely means it's love.

2. You follow each other on Instagram, Twitter, Periscope you name it.
Got to support bae, like.

high five friends ross rachel

3. And you'd NEVER leave his latest tweet/photo hanging without at least liking it
No need to comment, mind you, a cheeky like will do

4. You share a Netflix login because you watch all the same shows anyway
It's just convenient.

5. And you wouldn't DARE skip ahead on House of Cards without your other half
In fact, 60% of the couples Netflix surveyed said it was just more fun watching shows with their other half than without them.

6. Your phone's wi-fi connects automatically at their house
And at their parents' house too, if you two are really serious

7. You keep a spare phone charger at his house
No more frantic 'DOES ANYONE HAVE AN iPHONE 4 CHARGER?' emails in work

8. Anyone looking back through your WhatsApp conversations would get a shock
Not because of anything dirty, mind, but because the number of AWFUL selfies you send each other

9. You two definitely bonded over your shared love of true crime dramas/awful 90s rom-coms/gruesome nature documentaries on your first date
Finally, someone who likes what you like – or who has just done his research, like this guy:

It's been nearly 50 years since the original ad of the Milk Tray man aired in 1968, and now Cadbury's has found a new handsome guy to take on the roll.

After the chocolate company launched the search last year to find a new hunky fellow, a fireman from Liverpool has won the role.

Patrick McBride fought off more than 20,000 hopefuls by impressing the judges with witty banter and performing a fireman's rescue lift.

The 39-year-old was so determined to clinch the title that he wore his full firefighing uniform to the London auditions.

Patrick also has a history of modelling and TV ad work, as well as a 14-year career in the Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service – so it's safe to say he ticked all the boxes.

"My wife's so happy for me. She's made up. I think it will sink in when the billboards are up and the ads are on TV. I think she'll be pleased she's married to the Milk Tray man," said Patrick.

But, even though his wife will be happy, he's not too sure about his fellow firefighting buddies.

"I'd expect some playful banter… maybe the odd poster up. Maybe they'll come to work wearing black polo necks."

Later this month, RTÉ plans to celebrate love in the most Irish way possible – with a special Valentine's Day edition of The Late Late Show.

As with last year, much of the audience will be made up of singles looking for love (because who's a better matchmaker than our own Ryan Tubridy?), but there will also be a few couples in the mix too.

Today, The Late Late Show announced a call-out for Ireland's Most Loved-Up Couple, as nominated by viewers.

If you know someone who is annoyingly in love with their partner – or indeed, if that person is you – then make yourself known.

"The lucky couple will win themselves a romantic break for two but, more importantly, they’ll get the chance of a lifetime: making their very own appearance on The Late Late Show," RTÉ explains.

"This year’s Valentine’s Special on Friday, February 21, will host an audience of 200 single men and women on the hunt for love and we're looking for the perfect couple who can show them how it’s done."

According to the man himself, Ryan Tubridy, the nominated couples can be anyone at any stage of a relationship.

"We’re asking people to nominate the couples they feel perfectly embody what love means.

"Maybe they have a funny story about how they met or they’ve inspired everyone around them with their long and happy marriage. Perhaps, they’re devoted to their children and need a break or they’ve faced down great adversity hand-in-hand and made it through to the other side stronger than ever."

If you think you know the perfect couple, get in touch (publicly or privately) with The Late Late Show on Facebook including picture and some info, tweet using the hashtag #LateLateLove or email latelatelove@rte.ie.

If you want to really treat that someone special this Valentine's Day, then a trip to Hogwarts may be in order.

Last year, Warner Bros hosted Christmas dinner in the Great Hall of Hogwarts, but there were a lot of angry people who didn't get to go.

But if you get to go this time, the studio has promised that the night will be extra special. On arrival you are treated to you very own love potion cocktail, and then you'll he seated for a "bewitching banquet."

The menu features smoked salmon mousse and a rack of lamb, but best of all, you can choose from a whole range of desserts. Sound fantastic? Well, there's more.

After dinner, you and your love will get a private tour around the Harry Potter movie set, and there will also be an open bar where you can get your very own tankard of Butterbeer. Yum!

BUT best of all? You can choose your very own WAND to take home with you. *Gasps*.

Ahhh, but there's a catch, ladies. The night will cost you a massive €660. Yep, our jaws dropped too.

If you can afford it, fair pay. If not, maybe you can recreate the special night at home. Maybe.

Valentine’s Day is coming up this Saturday and while many people will be donning red from head to toe, many more of us are just not into it for one reason or another.

Don’t worry, we have just the thing for you! Or rather, Dubray Books has just the thing for you. The Irish bookshop, which has eight stores nationwide, has launched their Valentine’s noir collection – a collection of books that are very anti-Valentine’s. Sounds perfect!

Many of the books in the noir collection feature stories of secrets, intrigue, awry love and sometimes even worse…Author of one of the books on the list, bestseller The Girl On The Train Paula Hawkins spoke about why we love stories like these: “I think we’re all fascinated by the dark secrets that lie at the heart of ostensibly happy relationships.”

Also on the noir list is:

  • Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
  • The Liar’s Chair by Rebecca Whitney
  • The Crooked House by Cristobel Kent
  • You Should Have Known by Jean Hanff Koerlitz

The MD of Dubray, Maria Dickenson spoke about the idea behind the noir collection: “Books are of course a lovely thoughtful gift on Valentine’s Day – what better way to say I love you than to give a romantic tale that your partner will adore? But we’ve all had those Valentine’s Days when we’re thinking dark thoughts about the world of romance, as we want people who aren’t in love or who would like to be in love to have reading options too!”

As Maria said, it’s not only those not interested reading about love Dubray have books for as they also have a collection for those wistful love dreamers too such as:

  • The Music of Love by Kate McCabe
  • The Little Book of Love by Tiddy Rowan
  • Go Get Him by Avril Mulcahy
  • Fifty Shades of Grey by EL James

Valentine’s/Galentine’s Day is just around the corner so we’ve been thinking about the perfect make-up and hair look you can rock.

Whether you’ll be sipping wine with your fella or dancing the night away with your girls, we can ensure you’ll be looking mighty fine.

Sexy & Sultry

If deep, red lips and feline flick of the eye is your kind of make-up look then this is for you! Keeping your hair slicked back will make sure all of the attention is on your striking make-up look.

To complete this looks you’ll need three key products; red lip liner, red lipstick and a black liquid eyeliner.

Here are our picks:

From left to right: MAC lipstick in Ruby Woo; Rimmel 1000 kisses lipliner in Red Dynamite; L'Oreal Super Liner Blackbuster in black

Romantic Muse

For an ethereal, romantic look soft make-up and a loose braid or fishtail are the way to go. What you may lack in eyeliner you gain in eyelashes and cheekbones.

To get the romantic look you'll need mascara, a pink lipstick and highlighter.

Here are our picks:

From left to right: Clinique Chubby Stick in Supreme Sorbet; Benefit's High Beam Highlighter; Lancôme Grandiôse Mascara
