David Beckham has been adding to his tattoo collection of late, but his wife Victoria has been doing the exact opposite.

The designer was pictured at the launch of her son Romeo's Burberry campaign yesterday with her noticeably faded wrist tattoos on show.

Both wrist inkings are tributes to Victoria and David's 16-year marriage, and while they are still just visible, most of the darker ink has been lasered off.

Victoria's left wrist features the initials DB as well as a Hebrew translation of the phrase 'together, forever, eternally.'

Her right has the Roman numbers for May 8, 2006 – the date the couple renewed their wedding vows – above the a Latin phrase meaning 'again from the start'.

It's not just her wrists that are getting a clean-up, though. Earlier this year Victoria revealed plans to have yet another tattoo removed, this one a Hebrew neck inking which translates to 'I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine.'

The tattoo, which runs from the nape of her neck to the top of her spine, was originally inked to mark David and Victoria's sixth wedding anniversary – in fact, David has a matching one on his arm.

While Victoria seems keen to rid her skin of any permanent markings, David just last week notched up his third tattoo in the last six months alone.

His latest one is in honour of his four-year-old daughter Harper, whose drawing is now a permanent feature on David's hand:
